"Oh yeah, Cam, what level would that Hanako ghost be?" Belle questions Cam as they walk toward the classroom.
"She was a third-level ghost, she chose mobility over power so she was weaker than average," Cam explains.
"What about you, what's your level?" Leslie asks curiously.
"That's a bit complicated, I think I was more powerful before, but it seems my level has gone down, I should be a second-level ghost right now, luckily that Hanako ghost was weak, she didn't seem to have a full grasp of her powers," Cam replies.
"Ah, we're here," Belle states, ending the conversation. They're at the entrance to the classroom they needed to get to, the fourth one on the second floor.
"Do you think my brother is in here?" Leslie questions.
"He's either in here or at the rooftop, if not, then he must've run somewhere to hide," Belle says, conveniently leaving out the other option of him being dead. Belle casually grabs the door handle and swings open the door. The classroom looks just like the others, with a bunch of desks lined up in rows in front of the whiteboard and teaching podium. There's a small closet at the back of the room and a window that has a view of the forest behind the school. They get started investigating the room, Cam just floats around near the ceiling, not a care in the world.
"I found something." Leslie catches Belle's attention. He walks over to Leslie to find a desk with scribbles all over it.
BITCH!
DIE!
JUST ROT IN HELL!
The words were cruel and violent, they hadn't been washed off and were written in permanent marker.
"Who's desk is this?" Belle mumbles, reaching his hand into the gap in the desk where you would put your textbooks. He pulls his hand out after finding something, revealing it to be somebody's textbook. He opens it to the first page and glances at the name scribbled into it: Helen.
"It's the girl from the bathroom. It seems like she was getting bullied," Belle states.
"Do you think it has something to do with the suicide?" Leslie questions.
"Most likely, we still need more evidence though," Belle says. He puts the textbook back in the desk as a notification from the system pops up.
[Evidence Found:3/4]
"I think someone's in here." Cam suddenly warns he's pointing to the closet at the back of the room. Belle tightens his hold on the axe and approaches the closet, Leslie is tiptoeing behind him. Belle grabs the handle and slowly swings the door open, to find a young boy on the ground. His hands, mouth, and feet are bound with miasma, the boy is crying and his eyes are wide with fear.
"Lou! What happened!? I was so worried!" Leslie shouts, running up to the boy to try and untie him.
"Mmmg, mfghggh!" The boy struggles against the miasma, not quite looking at the two of them.
"Behind you," Cam warns. They turn to find a schoolgirl sitting at the desk they had just been investigating. She has a light smile on her face, and the scene would look almost normal if it wasn't for the miasma choking out the room and the girl's bent-out head.
"I see you want to intrude on my space and take my boyfriend. Well, I'm sorry, but I can't let that happen, " she says calmly.
"Cam!" Belle shouts.
"No, no, no, no can do, I can't have you ruining my perfect date." The girl says. The miasma in the room changes, all of it rushing toward Cam who was sending his ropes flying at her. He stops in place suddenly, as a manic grin spreads on his face and he starts laughing.
"What the hell?!" Leslie shouts. Cam has now fallen on the ground, still laughing.
"It must be her ability," Belle states, holding up his axe and keeping his guard up.
"Very astute, not much you can do about it though." She says, waving her hand and sending more miasma at Belle and Leslie. Leslie immediately breaks down sobbing on the ground. Belle can feel the sparks of tears in his eyes and an intense sadness worms its way into his heart, but he holds his ground. The schoolgirl frowns, clearly annoyed by this, so she sends even more miasma toward Belle. He finally drops to the ground, tears flowing from his eyes, but he glares at her as she stands up and passes them by. She grabs the boy from the closet and carries him out.
"Once this boy is dead he will turn into a ghost, then he will be mine forever, don't try and stop me." She smiles and then leaves the room. 'Ugh, shit, I have to break out of this.' Belle glances at his two companions who are still on the floor, caught up in their feelings.
"C'mon, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!" Belle shouts, he latches on to a corner of his mind where his head feels the most clear, and suddenly, the miasma clears. The tears stop and the overwhelming sadness disappears, Belle stands up and rushes over to Leslie.
"Okay, I have no idea if this will work but here goes." He mumbles and grabs onto the miasma surrounding his head. He pulls and feels the miasma straining against his pull, he pulls harder and rips it away, flinging it across the room where it disappears.
"Ugh, that felt horrible." Leslie shudders, standing up. Belle approaches Cam and does the same thing, releasing him from the miasma.
"That was the worst thing I've ever experienced. Nobody should ever feel that happy." Cam states gravely.
"How did the miasma work on you?" Belle questions the ghost.
"She used a ton of it, some ghosts can store up miasma and it'll work on stronger ghosts," Cam explains.
"I see, let's work on not getting caught off guard again," Belle says.
"We have to hurry, she's got my brother." Leslie cries out anxiously.
"She probably took him to the rooftop, I'm sure she set up traps in the hallway and the stairs so we need to be careful," Belle warns. The other two nod and they leave the classroom, heading into the hallway, cautiously glancing around.
