Reality slammed back into place.
Talon blinked, his vision adjusting to the sharp glare of sunlight reflecting off glass and steel.
It was windy, a storm even, with rainclouds above but no rain just yet. It was cold, but manageble, ever since they had been a super they were less susceptible to the environments harsh changes.
They stood atop a skyscraper, the wind whipping through the urban canyon of towering buildings that stretched endlessly in every direction. The air was thin but crisp, and far below, the faint shimmer of a barrier marked the boundaries of the arena.
"Urban, high-rise," Talon muttered, his grip tightening on his sword. "This is pretty ideal."
Jason adjusted his shield, squinting against the glare. "Better than that jungle for sure. At least there's no bugs this time."
Kieran, already scanning the rooftops through his scope, spoke quickly. "We've got good elevation. Should work to my advantage."
