He had not said it but his past life habits were still with him, keeping him in discipline. He would train daily despite not gaining muscles, as a vampire, his body didn't need him to exercise to stay healthy but he still did it to keep himself flexible and fit.
And with his natural strength, he trained even harder daily to minimize the difference in strength between other women and himself, physically at least.
The crowd saw him walk up to the wooden training dummy and…
Bang!
He pulled the sword forward and struck the wooden dummy with a loud and strong strike making the hearts of all women present jump.
This was actually really dangerous for a man who were naturally frail, it could have easily dislocated a shoulder or arm for a man.
This was what all these women thought at the same time,
Bang! Bang! Clang!
Daniel kept striking forward at the wooden dummy, he had been watching the knights train for a long time and he knew how it worked, not to mention, he still had his skill from past life, kendo was one of the things he used to train in.
A sword was not much different to him.
The cheers suddenly turned into panic exclamations instantly as many tried to ask him to stop for a moment or take it slow.
The vice-captain almost fainted when she saw the young master strike the wooden dummy. She was already thinking about writing her last will. In case, something happened to the young master, the countess will really execute her.
But as time went by and nothing happened, the crowd suddenly felt silent.
Well, nothing was happening?
The crowd's panic turned into shock as they saw the man they thought to be delicate and fragile strike the wooden dummy with a force of power.
They all had dreamy expressions on their faces, even the vice-captain had her mouth opened wide.
"T-This, is this the usual strength of a man?" A trainee woman asked.
"Absurd!" Someone immediately declined.
"Then, what are we seeing right now?"
"This is young master, right? Could it be that it's someone else in his disguise?"
"Fuck you! If someone can disguise and become a man as handsome as our young master, I will eat dirt!"
"Damn! If that was possible, I would have made my lover wear that disguise too!"
"Weren't you single, bitch!?"
"Ahem…"
Daniel felt a feeling of nostalgia wash over him as he remembered the sword moves from his past life, his hand movements were becoming more synchronized.
"Daniel!"
A shout came from a distance as everyone stopped chattering, even Daniel froze.
It was Alice. She had somehow found him here.
"Ah, sister…?"
He looked at her, she seemed furious, a heavy frown on her forehead as she came up to him, looking him up and down, at the sword in his hand and the crowd of women watching who avoided her gaze.
"What are you doing?" she asked in a heavy tone.
"Trying out sword?" he replied, tilting his head in confusion, in fact, he knew already why she was here and why she was asking this question.
"Why? Why are you doing this?"
She asked in a low tone.
"I was curious about it."
"Then has your curiosity been satisfied now?
"No."
Daniel now that he had finally used the sword was feeling nostalgia of his past life, on the times, when he was alone, he would practice his skills alone and that was one of the best times of his life.
Now that he had picked up the sword, all those happy memories had returned to him as well so it did not make sense for him to not pursue sword again despite it being a womanly thing now.
"…"
For a moment, both of them looked at each other with speechless, not knowing what to say.
Daniel didn't understand why she wanted him to stop, he was fine even after swinging it around freely, just because of the fact that men shouldn't do this, she wanted him to stop?
He felt a little unwilling.
"Stop it now and return back."
"You go first, I will go back after some time." He shook his head.
He had always acted as the perfect man for this world and as a nobleman too. He was obedient and acted as a normal man of this world, but the sword was something that he felt it was worth it to show a little resistance for if it meant he could keep learning swords.
"You…"
She had not seen him act so stubbornly before. Why did this obedient little brother suddenly want to learn sword?
Alice glanced at the knights watching the drama about this stubborn little brother of hers.
"Come with me."
She didn't let him speak before grabbing his wrist and dragging him away from the crowd who hastily made way for Alice.
Daniel felt a moment of struggle as he tried to shake off her grip but soon found himself unable to, it was as if his hand was held in an iron grip.
Alice hold was unbelievably strong, Daniel felt shocked how she was this strong when she didn't even have a rune?
He had never seen her practicing with knights either, she should be a normal vampire.
Not to mention, his strength was not any lesser to a normal woman yet he was unable to shake her off.
Feeling Daniel trying to yank her hand away, Alice's expression turned darker as she increased the strength of her grip.
He felt his hand go numb instantly, he felt a sharp pain in his hand but refused to cry out in pain. He had his own pride to hold to.
He felt it would ruin the image he had set in his mind for himself, his last bit of masculinity he held onto.
Even in his previous life, he never cried. He knew it was fine to cry and it would not make him any less but for him, who had nothing else to represent himself as a man that time, felt that keeping himself strong was the only way.
Despite his wrist feeling numb and unresponsive, he quietly followed after Alice who was walking with a fast pace. He felt it a little troubling to keep up with her with his hand stretched out like that.
