At this moment, Yan Qianyi could only move her arms.
She took out her silver needles and inserted them into various acupuncture points on her head, such as Baihui, Sishencong, and Fengchi.
In just a short while, her body gradually regained sensation.
She then inserted a few more needles near the joints of her limbs.
Finally, her body returned to normal.
Stowing away the silver needles, she stood up and looked at Mu Yunlie. "Let's make a deal."
Hearing this, Mu Yunlie straightened his posture.
Was the act finally over?
Getting straight to the point was much more to his liking.
He turned to look at Yan Qianyi.
Under the cold moonlight, his face appeared even more severe and cold.
His thin lips moved slightly. "What is your objective?"
"I know that last night, due to the effects of your poisoning and your unclear mind, you married me. Tonight, you've likely asked me to come so we can discuss divorce, right?" Yan Qianyi said.
After all, no one would willingly marry someone they had only met once.
And with Mu Yunlie being as strikingly handsome as he was, he surely had no shortage of admirers.
He was undoubtedly unwilling to continue this marriage with her.
Mu Yunlie gazed at her leisurely. "And so?"
Yan Qianyi's tone was earnest. "I'm in a bit of trouble right now and I need a husband as a shield. If possible, could you remain my husband for the time being and delay the divorce?"
Mu Yunlie's eyes narrowed slightly, and he looked at Yan Qianyi as if she were a fool.
Did she not know that after marriage, they had to wait a year before filing for divorce?
This was common knowledge among the interstellar citizens.
Moreover, this conversation wasn't progressing in the direction he had anticipated.
Yan Qianyi continued, "Rest assured, I won't ask for your help for free. In return, I can rid your body of the strange poison that plagues you."
Of course, offering herself in marriage wasn't entirely off the table either.
Mu Yunlie's lips curled into a mocking smile, as though he'd just heard a ridiculous joke.
"Don't be so skeptical! My silver needles are incredibly effective!" As she spoke, Yan Qianyi pulled out one of her needles.
Under the moonlight, the silver needle shimmered, casting a sharp, icy glint into Mu Yunlie's eyes.
Suddenly, he darted forward and gripped Yan Qianyi's wrist. "Impatient already? Looking for an opportunity to strike at me, are you?"
"Uh?" Yan Qianyi blinked in bewilderment.
"Tell me, who's behind you?"
Yan Qianyi glanced behind her. "There's no one behind me."
"Don't play dumb!" Mu Yunlie scoffed coldly, casting a disdainful glance at the silver needle in her hand. "To think you'd try to kill me with something like this—how naïve."
"This is a common tool in ancient medicine. Ancient medicine, haven't you heard of it? This thing is used to save lives," Yan Qianyi explained.
Though, in her hands, it could just as easily be used to kill.
But she really had no intention of killing him.
Seeing the skepticism in Mu Yunlie's expression, Yan Qianyi couldn't help but feel exasperated.
It seemed Mu Yunlie knew nothing about silver needles.
Of course, ancient medicine had been lost to history for thousands of years and had long faded from memory.
Her wrist throbbed under his grip, and despite trying to break free, she couldn't. She continued to explain:
"Honestly, just now I used these silver needles to restore sensation to my body. Look, the effect was much quicker than your massage. Otherwise, I wouldn't be standing here so well. And if I really intended to kill you, I could have done so last night when the poison in your body flared up. I wouldn't have waited until now."
After finishing, she looked at him with sincerity, blinking her eyes.
