It was Miyano's second day in class, and he was still getting used to his new surroundings and classmates. He'd noticed kiyoto was missing, kiyoto hadn't shown up in class yet.
"Morning Miyano- kun"
Miyano suddenly looked beside
"Wanna go watch the basketball match?" Aio asked eagerly.
"Hmm... basketball match?" Miyano looked intrigued.
"Kiyoto's team is playing today," Aio added.
"Yeah! Didn't he tell you?" Kino chimed in.
Miyano frowned. "No, he didn't mention it."
One of their friends chuckled, "Oh, he never tells any of us!"
"True, but we always end up going to watch his matches anyway," Aio smiled.
"He looks so cool when he's on the court," Kino agreed.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Aio said, grinning.
"Yeah, let's go!" Kino replied.
Aio called out, "Hey, cutie, you coming with us?"
Mimi The girl sitting next to Miyano nodded with red cheeks.
As they entered the stadium, the energy was electrifying. The crowd was buzzing with excitement, eagerly awaiting the start of the game. It was always packed whenever the Blue Code faced off against the Black Drags.
Miyano and his friends found seats in the stands, just in time. Soon, every chair in the stadium was filled, and the announcer's voice boomed, "The game is about to begin!"
All eyes turned to the entrance as the players began walking onto the court, one by one. When Kiyoto, the captain of Blue Code, stepped onto the floor, the cheers exploded. His classmates started chanting his name, their voices ringing through the stadium.
Miyano's gaze was locked on Kiyoto, captivated by his confident stride and focused expression. In his blue jersey, Kiyoto looked incredible, a true leader. Some of his fangirls were so overwhelmed they practically got nosebleeds from excitement.
The game kicked off, and with each point, the cheers only grew louder. Blue Code played with relentless energy, but the Black Drags were giving them a tough fight.
Then, with ease and precision, Kiyoto sank another basket.
When Kiyoto scored another basket, the cheers of his classmates filled the air. As he looked their way, he found himself drawn back to an old memory from his school days. Back then, during the final game, he'd made the winning shot, and the crowd had cheered just as wildly. Turning toward the source of the applause, he spotted an angelic boy with a beautiful smile—a smile that had left him lost, wondering if it was meant for him or someone else.
But today, that same smile was unmistakably directed at him. Miyano was watching him, his expression soft and warm, and Kiyoto felt captivated, almost trapped in that gaze. He didn't want to look away; he couldn't look away.
A teammate's congratulatory pat jolted him back to the present, and Kiyoto quickly refocused on the game. Yet, Miyano's smile lingered in his mind, making his heart beat faster as he continued to play.
As expected, the match was intense, but Blue Code ultimately clinched the victory. After the game, when Kiyoto stepped out of the club, a crowd of girls immediately surrounded him, eager to congratulate him. Spotting his classmates nearby, he carefully slipped away from the crowd and walked toward them, who were already rushing over to him.
"Kiyoto!" Aio beamed. "You were awesome out there!"
Kino, practically bouncing with excitement, added, "That was sooo cool!"
But Kiyoto's gaze shifted, searching the faces around him. "Where's Miyano? I saw him with you guys."
Aio replied, "Yeah, he was with us, but he left right after the match. Said he had some things to take care of."
As Kiyoto listened to his friends excited chatter, he couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that something was missing. He glanced once more in the direction Miyano had gone, his mind racing with questions he didn't fully understand.
"Why'd he leave so soon?" he thought, the question lingering.
Aio nudged him, snapping him back to the moment. "You good, Kiyoto? You seem... distracted."
"Yeah," he replied, though his tone didn't convince himself. His gaze shifted, an unspoken resolve forming in his mind. He would find out more about Miyano—one way or another.
As he was walking back to the dormitory the feeling of being watched by that familiar smile, and the strange pull he felt toward Miyano.
