Synopsis

Chapter 1 - chapter 1 (divine intervention)

Now Percy wasn't your average "mortal" by any means. He always liked to think of himself as normal, even if weird things did keep happening to him.

Today he was having a particularly shitty day. You know the usual, step in dog poop, it starts raining (with lots of thunder and lightning), a dog attacking him, th- wait what?

Before Percy could react the dog was on top of him, and instincts kicked in as he held the dog's mouth away from his neck.

He could feel blood coming out of his hand, but something... Was off with it. The more Percy looked at the dog, the more he noticed.

It wasn't a fucking dog, this shit was a hellhound from Tartarus itself. (Exaggerating of course).

'place your hand on its lower jaw,' a soft whisper came to Percy.

Percy was sweating as the hellhound came more and more near his neck, but no matter how loud he yelled nobody was coming to his rescue.

Percy placed his hand on the dog's lower jaw, as the voice had instructed.

'Now twist.'

*crack*

Percy felt a sudden burst of strength that allowed him to snap the dog's neck. Percy gasped as he sat up, free from the dog's weight.

Right before his very eyes, the dog simply disintegrated into dust, leaving a very traumatized Percy as he looked at his hands and started shaking.

...

Percy went back to the dorm that night traumatized out of his mind, and for once he was still.

Percy had hoped that it would be merely a dream but... It wasn't. He could tell when he was dreaming, and when he wasn't.

'that little stunt of yours really put me in a pickle you know? All the power I've accumulated while waking up disappeared because I've helped you,' the voice responded inside his head.

'What are you,' Percy said, as he already had the mental breakdown of having two voices in his head.

Percy felt the voice pause, and he could tell the voice was expecting this, if only a bit later.

"The you of right now wouldn't be able to know my true name. Your body is barely containing a mere fraction of my true power. My true name would only hasten our true demise,' it finally responded.

'What do you mean "our" ' Percy thought.

"Our souls are tied as one, if you die, I'll die. It's a two way street. You're my host, as much as I hate this, it's our only way to make any progress in fixing this world," the voice said.

"Why me," Percy said aloud, startling his roommate, before said roommate threw a pillow at Percy.

"Shut the fuck up already. It's 3 am," his roommate said.

...

That morning Percy walked into class with dark spots under his eyes due to lack of sleep.

'Now from what I can tell this "status" is popular among you humans as a means to get stronger. This will be the quickest way to actually strengthen you for what's to come, and so we both don't cease to exist,' the voice said.

Percy laid his head down and closed his eyes, and upon doing so, he was taken to this large empty place that had a white marble floor, and a man sitting on a chair with an iPad in front of him.

On said iPad was a view of Percy sleeping on his desk (while drooling.)

The man's face and body was heavily distorted, as if he was a ghost of his former self. But Percy was able to tell that this was definitely a man, given the proportions.

"Ah good, you're finally here. Or as in Skyrim "oh you're finally awake". Get it?" The man said in a tone that sounded as if he was pleased with himself.

"...no?" Percy said, confused.

"Ugh, bloody hell. Okay look, remember what I said about the status? Yes, that will improve your overall well being. Make you stronger, adaptable... Probably a stoner, but we'll get there when that comes," the man said.

"Huh, not bad, only slightly above average. I can actually work with this. Alright good, maybe I should throw you at monsters so you can Get stronger faster," the voice said as he paced back and forth.

"Why are you even doing this," Percy said, staring at this ... Man/god person.

Whoever this person was was really starting to piss him off.

"A good ending if you will," the voice said before continuing.

"I.E me being the creator would of course want my creations to come together swimmingly. That's my original intention... But the Titans got greedy, and Ragnarok is close to happening too. Trust me it's all so very confusing, so little time, and I needed a vessel. Just like the Egyptians," the man said, explaining things that made absolutely no sense.

"...what?" Percy said completely lost.

Thean merely waved his non-existent hand like it wasn't much of a bother.

"Trust me, keeping track of what happens in the... Universe? Multiverse? Omni-fucking verse is tiring... Ah you know what, that's a story for another time. It's about time for you to get some actual training," the man said and a snap of his fingers awoke Percy.

'Good luck, Perseus,' said the voice one last time.

(End of chapter)

Okay, so I'm going to take this the shadow of Mordor route. Basically those will be the abilities Percy will have access to.

To anyone who hasn't, I recommend it. He will have the power to dominate, shame, and fight to the death.

He can however drain enemies, which we will get to later. He can convert the monsters to his side too.
