Kyle's first class at school was Transfiguration, shared with students from both Slytherin and Gryffindor. As he entered the classroom on the first floor, most students were already seated, eagerly awaiting the lesson. No one seemed to notice a small, orange cat perched on the teacher's podium. However, Kyle immediately recognized it as Professor McGonagall, a rare Animagus, and suspected this was her way of sparking curiosity and admiration for Transfiguration among the students. It might have even been a subtle test to see if any of them could identify her in her Animagus form.
Unfortunately, no one in the chatty classroom seemed to figure it out. Determined to make a good impression, Kyle straightened his clothes and walked up to the podium, preparing to bow. Just as he did, he felt a sudden shift in weight—his two Eevees had leapt onto the podium beside him. They circled around the orange cat, with Sun Eevee standing tall to show off, and Moon Eevee sniffing the "cat" in what seemed to be a greeting—or perhaps, something more romantic.
Kyle froze in horror. The little tricks he had taught them the night before were meant for Filch's cat, not his Transfiguration professor! The Eevees, oblivious to the gravity of the situation, looked at him expectantly, as if waiting for praise.
Just then, footsteps echoed from the hallway, and Harry Potter and Ron Weasley rushed into the classroom, out of breath. Seeing no teacher, Ron sighed in relief. "Thank goodness! If McGonagall were here, her face alone would be terrifying," he joked. Kyle, knowing what was about to happen, quietly stepped aside.
"Good morning, Kyle!" Harry greeted him cheerfully, though Ron barely acknowledged him. Noticing the Eevees, Harry said, "Are these your cats? They seem... uh, interested in that orange one. Is it a stray?"
Kyle immediately denied ownership, trying to distance himself from the situation. Harry, confused, said, "But I saw them with you on the Hogwarts Express..." Kyle waved it off, saying, "They're not mine. You can take them if you like."
Harry, ever the innocent, took Kyle's words literally. "You're giving them to me? Really?" he asked, touched by what he thought was a generous gesture.
Before Kyle could respond, the orange cat on the podium leaped into the air, transforming mid-jump into Professor McGonagall herself, her expression colder than ice. Both Harry and Ron stood frozen in shock.
Professor McGonagall, with barely concealed fury, addressed them. "Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, I should turn one of you into a pocket watch! At least then you'd know how to be on time!" she said, her voice tight with anger. Turning to Kyle, she added, "And you, Mr. Kyle, I don't want to see those cats in my classroom again. Is that understood?"
Kyle, trembling, could only nod in agreement. Angering Professor McGonagall was a mistake he would not repeat.
