"Let's start class now!"
Professor McGonagall waved her wand, transforming the podium into a pig before turning it back again. The students erupted in cheers, their curiosity about Transfiguration piqued.
"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts," she warned. "Anyone who misbehaves in my class will be asked to leave and never return. Consider yourselves warned."
She then launched into an explanation of Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration, stressing the importance of understanding its principles.
After the lecture, Professor McGonagall handed out matches to the students. "Let's begin with something simple—try turning these matches into embroidery needles. Imagine the shape clearly in your mind. The stronger your focus, the higher the chance of success. There are no fixed incantations, but feel free to use anything that helps you strengthen your intent."
Kyle stared at the match in front of him. His Transfiguration skills were decent—level 6, just shy of wandless casting. This task was easy for him, but he wondered what would happen if his "Heart of Black Magic" talent were combined with the Transfiguration spell.
"Mr. Kyle, why haven't you started practicing?" Professor McGonagall's stern voice broke his thoughts, drawing the attention of the entire class. Malfoy smirked, anticipating trouble, while Hermione watched with a hint of concern.
"Oh, Professor, this is easy!" Kyle replied confidently. He picked up his wand and, with a flourish, tossed the match into the air. "Transform quickly!" he commanded.
In an instant, the small match transformed—not into a simple embroidery needle, but into a massive one, six or seven meters long and as thick as two people embracing. The enormous needle pierced the ceiling, extending to the floor above.
The class was stunned into silence.
Above the Transfiguration classroom, in the school infirmary, Filch was lying in bed, muttering about the trouble caused by Slytherin students. Suddenly, the room shook, and before he could react, his face was slammed into the ceiling by the gigantic needle.
As Madam Pomfrey entered to give him his medicine, she paused in disbelief, staring at the giant object protruding from the floor. "Where in the world did this come from?"
Back in the Transfiguration classroom, a series of system notifications echoed in Kyle's mind as his talent rewarded him with a bronze, silver, and gold treasure chest for causing fear, confusion, and anger.
Professor McGonagall's eyes narrowed in fury as she looked at the hole in the ceiling. Her patience was hanging by a thread. "Mr. Kyle..." she growled through clenched teeth.
"Oh, Professor, I know—no need to praise me or give me any points!" Kyle quickly interrupted, flashing a grin.
Though the "Heart of Black Magic" was undoubtedly a helpful talent, Kyle couldn't help but acknowledge that, perhaps, its host was a bit... lacking in caution
