I shook my head, "No one came to mind." Actually, two people did. My brother and Liam. However, I was sure that my brother would have called to check on things with me, and probably gave me a heads-up…?
Well, I didn't know much about how he handled matters. Perhaps he did but didn't speak about it because he was waiting for me to talk to him about it...?
As for Liam, he would have confronted me immediately and nagged me about how I'd been keeping secrets from him.
I sighed, feeling another headache coming. I was starting to get tired of all these mysteries…

My head snapped back to Annabelle, she was on her phone, her eyes almost popping out of their sockets, and mouth agape like she saw death. "What's up with you?" I was slightly curious. It was a rare case to see her this rattled.
