Chapter 1 - King's Guard

Knights in armor stand at attention as two men drag an elderly man through the dimly lit hall. As they reach the giant doors leading into the throne room a man steps out of the shadows in the corner of the hall.

"So this man is the one that supposedly knows where the key to Kaden is. Funny I assumed he'd be I don't know younger, full of power. Guess I was expecting the man who kept slipping away to be someone with a strong ability, but this one's just... human."

"You know not everyone is suped up on abilities Ash, I mean you should be more excited to meet the man who escaped and tricked you three times."

Ash "You know Ray if I remember correctly he escaped you twice, or was that just my imagination."

"You know what they say third times a charm, well for some anyway."

Ray said with a sincere smile on is face, yet to Ash it seemed like more of an insult.

"Stop your bickering and get the hell in here now."

As the doors open a man sitting on the steps leading to the throne called out to them, the smile on his face growing ever brighter as he sets eyes on the old man being brought in.

The great hall was filled with men and women lined up leading to the throne, some wore armor others in simple clothing to make it easier to maneuver in battles. Some held guns while those who excelled in melee held swords knives and weapons alike. Each insinuating and supporting the abilities they held.

The man was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants, the iris of his eyes glowing with a bright white radiance as if to swallow the darkness around him. His smokey black hair always moving as if the darkness off hell reaching to grasp the sun's embrace. A smile that could take the attention away from puppies, yet so twisted your nightmares wouldn't dare look.

The man's name was Dane and his power is second to none, not even the four kings knew how strong he really was. And yet he yielded and listened to only one person, the very king he sat in front of, Frost the Prince of Calamity.
