As they walked along the street, Kael introduced every shop and explained the items on display. Mirabella smiled at his ever-enthusiastic self and listened quietly by his side.
"How many times have you visited Dusthaven in the past?" she asked, marveling at the fact that he knew the bazaar so well.
Kael frowned and thought for a moment before lifting four fingers. "Four. The princes and princesses get a month's leave if they attend the Ascension Hall without absence throughout the year."
Mirabella was astonished. "You attended four years without absence?" she asked.
"Of course! What do you think of this diligent Noctaran prince? I am the best student in the Ascension Hall," Kael clasped his hands behind his back and tilted his chin proudly.
Mirabella felt amused by his act, which resembled the King of Dusthaven so much that she couldn't help but wonder if it was a good or bad influence.
