Chapter 136 - Chapter 5: The Tragic Battle Three Years Later

As Trunks finished speaking, he clenched his fists and let out a mighty roar. Instantly, a golden aura erupted from his body, turning his blue hair and eyebrows into a golden hue, and his blue eyes became green.

Goku was utterly astonished to see the young man transform into a Super Saiyan.

Not only Goku, but everyone watching from a distance was equally amazed, especially Vegeta. He clenched his fists tightly and cursed, "Damn it! Another Super Saiyan? This is outrageous!"

Ignoring Vegeta's jealousy, Goku and Trunks began their sparring match.

However, the match didn't last long. After a few rough exchanges, Trunks stopped.

Goku was taken aback when Trunks reverted to his normal state. "Why did you stop? Let's keep going!"

"There's no need. A brief exchange is enough to gauge your strength, Mr. Goku," Trunks replied.

"You're truly remarkable, Mr. Goku. Even more so than what I've heard!"

Goku transformed back and rubbed his nose with a smile. "It's nothing. You're also very strong."

John Doe interrupted their conversation. "Alright, you can tell us who you are and why you're here. Can you share that with us now?"

Trunks nodded. "Mr. John Doe, Mr. Goku, I will tell you everything, but I ask that you keep it to yourselves."

"We understand. You can trust us to be discreet," Goku assured him.

"You may find this hard to believe, but I traveled here from the future, approximately 20 years from now, using a time machine," Trunks explained.

"Twenty years from the future?!" Goku exclaimed in shock.

"My name is Trunks, and I'm Vegeta's son," Trunks said, glancing at Vegeta, who stood not too far away.

"Vegeta's son?!" Goku cried out in surprise.

John Doe also looked at Vegeta, then back at Trunks. "You do resemble Vegeta. I never thought Vegeta would have a son."

Krillin, standing next to Vegeta, noticed John Doe, Goku, and the mysterious young man staring at Vegeta. "Vegeta, they seem to be looking at you."

"Hmph!" Vegeta showed his disdain, though he didn't know why they were looking at him.

Trunks continued, "I will be born in about two and a half years from now."

"But I didn't come here just to tell you that. There's something far more important that you must know!" Trunks said gravely.

Hearing this, Goku turned his attention back to Trunks and nodded. "Go on, we're listening."

"In approximately three years from today, on May 12th, around 10 a.m., a pair of incredibly powerful individuals will appear on an island located 9 kilometers southwest of South City," Trunks revealed.

"Who are they? Are they aliens?" Goku asked.

"No, they are Earthlings, or more precisely, they are androids created through genetic modification," Trunks replied. "Their creator is Dr. Gero, a mad scientist from the former Red Ribbon Army."

"The Red Ribbon Army?!" Goku exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes, although it seems that Uncle Goku and Uncle John Doe defeated the entire Red Ribbon Army, their underground forces are even more formidable. The two of you only managed to destroy their headquarters," Trunks explained.

"Fearing the two of you, the Red Ribbon Army went completely underground, and the most powerful faction among them is Dr. Gero's android modification team."

"He personally created two ultimate killing machines—the androids," Trunks said.

"What is their purpose? What is Dr. Gero's goal? Is it still world domination?" Goku inquired.

"I don't know," Trunks replied. "After Dr. Gero released these two ultimate killing machines, he was killed by them."

"What? The androids killed their own creator?!" Goku was shocked.

"Yes, after that, the two androids were unrestrained and took pleasure in killing and destruction!"

"And there are two of them. Even in a one-on-one situation, I barely managed to escape," Trunks said, his head bowed in sorrow.

Goku noticed something and asked, "Wait, where is your companion?"

"I have no companion. In the future, I'm the only warrior left, 20 years from now," Trunks answered.

"In the battle three years from now, even those standing over there—my father, Uncle Krillin, Uncle Piccolo, and the others—will all be killed..." Trunks said, looking sadly at Vegeta.

"Gohan, who barely survived, taught me how to fight, but he also passed away four years ago."

"As you know, after Uncle Piccolo's death, the Dragon Balls disappeared, and we couldn't bring anyone back to life anymore."

"Hold on!" John Doe had been listening intently, but he didn't seem to hear his name mentioned. "What about me? Goku died from a viral heart disease, but what about me? Did I also die from a heart disease?"

"Yes, what about you and me, Mr. John Doe?" Goku echoed.

Trunks looked at Goku and said, "Uncle Goku, you won't be involved in the battle. Soon after, you'll contract a viral heart disease and pass away."

"A viral heart disease? That's a problem. Senzu beans can't cure heart diseases!" Goku said, concerned.

"What about me? Will I also get a viral heart disease?" John Doe asked.

"No, it seems that an uncle's alien friend was captured, and he went to rescue him but never returned," Trunks answered.

"He never came back?!" John Doe was stunned. "I don't recall this in the Dragon Ball storyline. Who did I go to save, and why did I end up sacrificing myself? Are there any enemies in the early Dragon Ball series that could threaten a Super Saiyan?"

John Doe was perplexed. Even with Trunks' warning from the future, he couldn't fathom the danger he was about to face, unless he chose not to go on the rescue mission in space.

Wait, apart from the Namekians, I don't think I have any friends in space, do I?
