As John Doe contemplated the reason for his death in the vastness of space, Goku, beside him, spoke with frustration, "Damn it! Am I really going to die? I can't accept it. I want to fight them so badly!"
Trunks, seemingly surprised by Goku's lament, exclaimed, "Uncle Goku, you're actually disappointed that you won't get to fight them? Aren't you afraid?"
"Afraid? Of course, I'm afraid," Goku replied. "But aren't they incredibly powerful? I really want to have a go at them."
At that moment, John Doe spoke up, "For us Saiyans, fighting is the pursuit of a lifetime. Besides, you, Uncle Goku, know both King Yama and King Kai. I reckon that if you die, you might live a happier life than you do now."
Hearing John Doe's words, Goku scratched his head.
John Doe then continued, addressing Trunks, "Trunks, I think you came here not just to tell us about the Androids that will appear three years from now, but you also have something else in mind. Go ahead and tell us."
Trunks took out a small bottle of medicine from his shirt pocket and said to Goku, "Uncle Goku, although viral heart disease is incurable in this era, in 20 years, people will have conquered it and produced a special medicine."
After saying this, Trunks tossed the medicine to Goku.
Trunks then turned to John Doe and said, "Uncle John, since we have no idea what you went through in space, I can only tell you this much. If possible, it's best if you don't venture into space again."
John Doe nodded and assured him, "Don't worry, I'll be careful."
Finally, Trunks addressed John Doe and Goku, "Uncles, I know that by doing this, I'm altering history and bringing about unpredictable changes to the future. But I'd rather not have that painful history repeat itself."
"My mother firmly believes that you will find a way to deal with those two Androids. That's why she went to great lengths to build this time machine."
"Wait, your mother knows us?" Goku suddenly realized something was amiss. "She's so close to us that she can even build a time machine. If I think about it, the only person I know who fits this description is... Bulma, right?"
Goku stumbled over his words as he guessed the answer.
"That's right, Uncle Goku. You guessed correctly!" Trunks confirmed Goku's guess.
Goku slipped and fell to the ground in shock.
Piccolo, who had been eavesdropping nearby, also stumbled, almost falling.
Krillin, seeing Goku's fall, asked curiously, "What shocking news could have startled Goku so much that he fell over?"
Goku got up, turned back, and looked at Bulma and Vegeta again, his face full of surprise. "This is truly shocking news. I always thought Bulma would marry Yamcha, but I never imagined she'd choose Vegeta of all people."
Then, Goku turned to John Doe and asked, "John, why aren't you shocked by this news? Aren't you surprised?"
John Doe shook his head and said, "I am shocked, but I had a hunch from the start."
"Trunks' mother can build a time machine, and he has the Capsule Corporation logo on his clothes. Other than Bulma, I can't think of anyone else who could be his mother."
"Oh, I see. You're right, John. You're indeed very smart," Goku said, looking at Trunks' clothes.
Trunks continued, "Please, keep this a secret. If word gets out, I might cease to exist."
"Don't worry, we'll keep it a secret," John Doe assured him.
Having said what he needed to say and met the people he wanted to see, Trunks turned to look at Vegeta and Bulma, who were standing not far away. His eyes were filled with blessings and reluctance to leave.
Trunks then said to John Doe and Goku, "Uncles, I should return to my time now. I want to put my mother's mind at ease."
John Doe nodded and said, "Trunks, tell Bulma that we will definitely defeat the Androids. We won't let them turn this era into the future you know."
"Okay, Uncle John. I'll deliver your message," Trunks replied.
Goku also asked, "Will we meet again in the future?"
Trunks answered, "I need a long time to accumulate the energy for the time machine's travel. But if I'm still alive in three years, I'll come to help you."
"I'll stay alive. Now that I have a goal, I'll make good use of these three years to train," Goku said.
Trunks bid farewell to John Doe and Goku and leaped into the distance, flying away.
"He flew away! Why?" Bulma wondered, feeling a sense of familiarity with the young man, perhaps because of the Capsule Corporation logo on his shoulder. She had wanted to wait for him to finish talking with John Doe and Goku and then chat with him, but she never expected him to fly off.
As John Doe and Goku walked towards the others, Goku clasped his hands together and said to John Doe, "John, I'll leave the task of explaining everything to you. Please take care of it!"
Seeing Goku's request, John Doe could only agree, "Alright, I'll explain everything. If I miss anything, you can fill in the gaps."
When John Doe and Goku reached the others, Krillin quickly asked, "John, Goku, where did that guy go? He just flew away."
John Doe said, "Let's not worry about where he went. What's more important is what's coming next."
John Doe then proceeded to tell everyone about the Androids who would wreak havoc in three years, concealing Trunks' identity.
The group was especially concerned about their future fates, and upon learning that most of them would die at the hands of the Androids, their hearts felt heavy with dread.
"Androids? That's truly terrifying news!" Krillin exclaimed.
Yamcha added, "I never thought that after all these years, we'd still hear about the Red Ribbon Army."
Bulma also chimed in, "I never imagined that they came from the future."
At that moment, Trunks piloted the time machine into the sky, waved goodbye to everyone, and suddenly vanished into the sky.
"He's gone!" Krillin exclaimed in awe.
"I think he's returned to the future," John Doe said, looking at the spot where Trunks had disappeared.
John Doe then turned to the others and said, "Alright, everyone, in the next three years, we all need to train hard. We'll show those Androids what we're made of. Let's see if they can kill us with their teeth and claws."
