Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Goku Joins the Adventure

"No, this is a memento left by my grandpa. I can't give it to anyone else," Little Goku stubbornly said.

No matter how much Bulma persuaded him, Little Goku had no intention of giving the Dragon Ball to anyone else.

At this moment, John walked up and asked Little Goku, "Goku, are you a martial artist too?"

"Martial artist? What's that?" Little Goku asked with a confused look, not understanding what John meant.

Without further ado, John took a stance and performed a set of Twelve-Road Tan Leg, a martial art that uses both hands and legs for attack.

In his previous life, John was an ordinary person, but after crossing over to Dragon Ball's Earth, his physical qualities improved greatly. When John used the Twelve-Road Tan Leg, his moves were swift and powerful.

Little Goku watched excitedly, and eagerly asked, "John, you're amazing! Can we have a match?"

John nodded and said, "Of course! To become a great martial artist, sparring with others is one of the best ways to improve."

Hearing John's agreement, Goku leapt in front of him and took a stance.

At this moment, the previously naive and carefree Little Goku turned serious. He had only sparred with his grandpa before, so he didn't know how his strength compared to other martial artists. But he was eager to test himself against them.

Seeing the two serious faces and the growing tension, Bulma became nervous.

Little Goku was the first to move, leaping forward and swinging his fist at John.

John stepped back and deflected Goku's fist, and the two began to exchange blows.

The sound of fists clashing and intense fighting filled the air.

The Twelve-Road Tan Leg focuses on simultaneous upper and lower attacks, with powerful punches and quick, small kicks, often with tricky moves.

"An opening!" Perhaps due to not having sparred with anyone in a long time, Goku soon made a mistake.

John seized the opportunity, delivering a knee strike to Goku's supporting leg, causing Goku to lose his balance. Then John kneed Goku's abdomen and finally punched his back, knocking Goku to the ground.

Bulma was shocked and worried, thinking that Goku was too young and John was being too harsh.

But before Bulma could finish worrying, Goku stood up, dusted himself off, seemingly unhurt, as if John's attacks had only tickled him.

Goku smiled at John and said, "John, you're really strong. Now I'm going to get serious."

Bulma finally understood why John wanted Goku on their team. Despite taking heavy blows, Goku was unharmed. He was indeed formidable.

The two took their stances again, and Goku attacked once more, this time faster. He quickly approached John, who was about to punch.

But Goku sidestepped to John's blind spot and kicked at him.

Sensing the danger, John ducked, feeling a gust of wind pass overhead.

Goku landed behind John and attacked again. This time, John spotted Goku and the two resumed their fight, but now Goku was attacking and John was defending.

Constant defense led to a slip; Goku faked a move and punched John in the abdomen, knocking him down.

Goku didn't continue attacking, but asked with concern, "John, are you okay?"

Bulma ran over, trying to help John up and asked, "John, are you alright?"

Holding his abdomen, John waved them off and said, "I'm fine, just give me a moment."

After a while, the pain subsided, and John stood up again.

John reached out to Goku and said, "Goku, join us on our adventure. With your skills, you shouldn't stay in this small village. You should see the wider world and meet other martial artists."

"Are they as strong as you?" Goku asked curiously.

John smiled bitterly and said, "I'm just an ordinary martial artist. There are many stronger people out there."

"Really? Then I want to go with you and fight those strong martial artists," Goku shouted excitedly.

After enjoying a hearty lunch, Goku packed the Four-Star Ball in a bag and tied it to his belt. The three of them set off in a car toward the location of the fourth Dragon Ball.

As the sun set, Goku, on his first trip away from home, stuck his head out the window, enjoying the breeze with a joyful expression.

Suddenly, Bulma stopped the car and walked into the bushes, shouting, "I need to go. Don't peek!"

John said, "Be careful. Don't go too far; it could be dangerous."

Goku asked curiously, "What's Bulma doing?"

John explained quietly, "Because Bulma is a girl."

"Oh, being a girl is quite troublesome," Goku said, leaving John speechless.

At that moment, a large pterodactyl grabbed Bulma and jumped out of the bushes.

Bulma shouted, "John, Goku, help me!"

Goku looked at the pterodactyl and asked, "Bulma, is that your friend?"

John attacked the pterodactyl and said to Goku, "That's not our friend. It wants to eat Bulma."

John dodged the pterodactyl's tail and kicked its back, knocking it down.

After a brief fight, the pterodactyl, realizing it couldn't win, tried to fly away, thinking the two couldn't fly.

The pterodactyl flapped its wings and said, "Haha, you're strong, but you can't fly. I'll be back after I've eaten."

Bulma shouted from the pterodactyl's grasp, "John, Goku, save me! I don't want to be this ugly dragon's food."

Seeing the pterodactyl about to fly away, John said to Goku, "Goku, use your Power Pole to knock it down."

Goku drew his Power Pole, shouted, "Extend!" and the pole grew instantly, striking the pterodactyl's head.
