Chapter 7 - Small annoyance

Don't you just hate it when you're getting fuel and some armed robbers come and try to hijack the armed bank truck in front of you?

Well. It seems like this is beginning to be the normal for me.

I went and started to deal with them when Villgax drones showed up after me again.

I went full when one of their lasers took out the support beam Holding up the roof to the gas station bay.

I quickly smashed the drones and threw them into the robbers. I didn't look to see if I got them before I grabbed Grandpa and jumped to the nearest hospital.

Doctor: "It seems He'll be out for several more hours. He also has several Lacerations and a broken leg."

"We understand doctor."

Gwen: "His leg will heal correctly right?"

Doctor: "For a man his age. He's remarkably strong. It'll be fine.

Gwen: "That's good."

Doctor: "Now It says on his admittance form he was hit by a car bumper. Did someone bump into him?"

"Actually. Believe it or not, it flew at him. There's an accident down the road. We risked him here." - "Oh. I see. Well, I have other patients to attend to. Just let your grandpa rest and he'll be fine."

Both: "Thanks."

I sat next to Grandpa and decided to do a transformation. (Just makes me smarter.) to see if there's anything they did anything wrong.

Happy with my findings I made a second me then messed with the watch with Grey Matter.

Gwen: "What are you doing? You don't know what you're doing." - "I actually do. Well, for the most part. I've been using this trick almost every day to look at the watch. I think there's a problem with it and I'm looking into it.

The problem is I think one of the aliens is trying to become sentient." - "That doesn't sound good." - "Not to me either. That's why I'm trying to learn and fix the problem."

It went quiet for a moment when Gwen gasped. I looked up to see someone bust through the window.

I turned into Gray Matter hit the Badge and turned into then we went back into one, then me, all before the green flash vanished.

"Let's move."

Gwen: "Change and fight her."

I held up my watch, which was red. "I need a recharge. The watch hates me."

We ran out of the room, and down the stairs, out back on the main floor.

As soon as we went outside we formed our suits and hid behind the row of ambulances.

Roto: "We can do this the easy way.. or the hard way."

She immediately shot at the rocks above us.

"She didn't even give me time to choose. Rude."

Gwen: 'No time to complain." - "Right."

I looked at the road. 'Let's test some new skills.'

I shot spikes into the ground and they grew to form a wall.

I grabbed Gwen and jumped over the wall and all of the boulders got stopped.

"Can't do better than that."

Roto: "Found Yah."

She tackled me to the ground and the lasers on her shoulders shafted to shoot at me.

I moved my head just enough to make them miss.

With my right hand, I shit the shoulders, and with my left, I hit my badge.

She stepped off me, confused.

"Come here. You want me. You have me."

I jumped on her surrounded her and dove into the machines in her body.

-Weird trippy vision.-

Vilgax: "Listen to my every word. Be afraid. You cannot run. You cannot hide from me. I will find you, and when I do I will retrieve my Omitrix and destroy you."

"Not going to happen!"

I pulled myself out of this trippy space and slipped out of the robot's hands and back onto her body. But this time I made sure it had a little short in it.

I sent electricity through all systems, before pealing off of her.

She stood up and all the machines crumbled and fell off.

Girl: "I don't know what came over me. I swear. You have to help me." - "Sorry. I don't help criminals, I also don't hit girls." I took a step back. "But she does."

Gwen jumped off one of the ambulances behind us, to drop-kick her.

I flashed green and turned back into me.

I gave her a high-five. Good kick." - "Thanks. Those lessons come in handy sometimes."

I looked down at the passed-out criminal.

"Take a shoulder. Let's put her against the building."

Once against the building, I wrote a nice note then we walked up to Grandpa's room. Along the way, we told the police that we had someone strange in the back.

We walked into the room to find Grandpa still asleep.

Gwen: "I've been meaning to ask. But what's with the 10 on your suit?"

"You like? I said I wanted to be called Ben 10." - "Why 10?" - "Tennyson.. Ten. And I started with 10 Aliens. I thought it fit. That and I like how it sounds." - "I thought you had 11." - "Oh, yeah. I did… I still like it." - "That won't catch on." - "We'll see."

Next day. At the door of the Rust bucket.

Gwen: "What happened to you yesterday." - "When?" - "When you first attacked the lady." - "Oh, that. It was weird actually. I was pulled into some strange dream-like thing. There was this huge octopus-like face, that said I should be afraid, and he was coming for me. Do you think it's the one who's sending those robots?"

Grandpa: "Maybe."

I was surprised at how serious he looked.

Gwen: "Will we be okay?"

Grandpa: "As long as we stick together. Nothing can harm us."

"Yeah. Because I'm here."

Gwen: "Overconfidence? Are we?" - "It's only overconfidence if it's not true."

Grandpa: "Alright you two. Get inside. We have places to be."
