In a secret base under S.H.I.E.L.D, the former director, the current world secretary, Pierce was sitting in his seat with a smile.
Facing Arnim Zola, Brock Rumlow, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and Senator Stern who were not there physically there but online.
"The government wishes to avoid provoking Superman but they are preparing" Pierce said.
"He seems to have gotten much stronger compared to when he fought Abomination" Arnim said.
"He has also made connections with Mutants" Senator Stern added with almost disgust in his tone.
"What you are suggesting Pierce, also, how did he get so much stronger compared to the past, where was he all this time?" Rumlow asked the questions that were on his mind.
"All I know is that he will grow into a threat towards us" Baron said, "And I do not want him interfering in my actions"
"That is if we continue to let him grow into a threat agaisnt us, he is free to do as he pleases currently with Nick fury showing signs of Favour towards him.
We can not suppress news about him as it has spread to almost the entire country already and is leaking out into the International world the more time passes"
"You want to attack?" Baron asked.
"No that would be foolish, we should hold off attacking him until we are 100% certain of our victory" Pierce said.
"Slander him?" Stern asked.
"Yes, Slander him, bring out the hatred amongst people and direct it towards him" Pierce said.
"We can use the incident with the soldiers going deaf but that is not a sure fire way to get the public to unanimously hate him and the government does not have the guts to try and make any statements about Superman"
"Alien, we can mark him as an Alien, we don't need proof, if we say it enough times with enough trusted people publicly saying it, the public will believe it" Senator Stern said with a smirk.
"What if he chooses destruction of the people?" Armin said "Simply put, what if he doesn't care about the public, what if he has a god complex?" Armin concluded causing the rest to go silent.
"No, he won't choose destruction, he has such powers yet has not used it in a way that would give us the idea that he has a god complex, why has he not shown up at the White house and just taken Power?"
"He could be a dictator-like figure but he chooses not to, so it's clear he will not do anything drastic like that" Stern analysed.
"Or we can drop a Nuclear Bomb on him" Brock Rumlow said with a shrug, it Is so much easier that way, he thought to himself.
"What if he survives" Pierce said, "we risk exposing ourselves and turning Superman against us, ruining everything we have worked for" Pierce said but brock simply scoffed.

David was flying over Antarctica at this time.
His eyes scanning every inch of it, searching for Captain America.
It took him a few hours but finally he discovered Steve Rogers frozen deep in ice.
Slowing down, David landed on the ice causing cracks to spread.
His eyes glowed with red as he about to melt the ice but stopped as he heard the sound of sparks behind him.
Turning around David saw golden sparks appearing.
He stopped the lasers from coming out and waited as the portal was completed and The Ancient One stepped out from within.
"I wondered when you would show up" David said with a smile.
"You were expecting me?"
"You were bound to show up, I just didn't know when, So, did you see the future and Decide on something?" David pointed at the Eye of Agamotto and asked.
"No"
"Well that's great" David chuckled.
"No, I cannot see anything" the Ancient One said with a frown.
"What's that supposed to mean?" David asked, feeling confused.
"Something is covering up the future" The Ancient One said.
"I suspect it's because of you" She said as she materialised a whip on her hands.
"Is that supposed to scare me?" David asked with frown.
"No, I just hope I won't be forced to use it, I hope you can go into the Mirror dimension, I just wish to see if your contact with the world was to be stopped, will the future be visible again"
"What If it does, will I be trapped there?" David asked with complete seriousness.
The Ancient One was silent for a few seconds.
"That is a discussion we will have if I begin to see the future again" she said.
"I don't think you will be able to force me, but let's just say I agree, what do I get?" David asked causing the Ancient One to go silent.
"I can teach you magic" she said.
"Alright" David agreed, If he had the chance to learn magic, he would easily be able to accomplish several things, and also protect himself from magic.
He felt like his current defence against magic was only slightly better then normal humans.
He was vulnerable to particularly powerful attacks on the mind, Venom could only counteract weak or mild attempts, Illusions and various other unconventional magic attacks.
The Ancient One waved her hand in the air causing a large section of it to crack.
"Step through it" she said pointing at the cracked atmosphere.
"Alright, but I need to be back before 7, I have something important to attend"

In S.H.I.E.L.D, Rumlow walked through the large base muttering to himself in anger, ignoring everybody else.
"Stupid Pierce, he has gone soft, he cares to much about hiding Hydra from the world, Stern has lost himself enjoying his high position,
Arnim is a damn screen while Baron doesn't care about anything other then his precious subjects" he muttered.
As he was walking his eyes suddenly caught sight of a Large Helicarrier.
One that Rumlow had long since heard rumours about.
A legendary Helicarrier loaded with the strongest missiles and the largest arsenal ever built in the history of S.H.I.E.L.D, a piece only built for True destruction.
A small smirk appeared on his lips.
"It's time to show the World a taste of Hydra again.
