As Jennifer gazed into depths, ripples coalesced into shifting scenes: primordial woodlands, creatures both familiar and strange.
Had this pool served as reflective vessel where ancestral memories were recorded, perhaps across aeons? Entranced, she saw patterns form amongst the trees - starmaps etched in constellations of foliage, speaking of travelers who charted heavens long before human hands first grasped brush and pigment.
All at once, a flock of silvery shapes emerged, gliding between the trees on wings like feathered wind. Yet strangest sight was one who walked amongst them on two legs, clad in silken garb like leaves yet bearing countenance both alien and achingly familiar...
