As portal pulsed with promise of future discovery, Jennifer turned to David, eyes gleaming. "Our adventure is only beginning. Who knows what marvels await beyond those stars?"
David smiled, squeezing her hand. "As long as we face them together." He started toward the gleaming portal - but suddenly froze, gaze drawn upward in alarm.
Jennifer gasped, following his stare. High above, a massive shadow had fallen across the lands, blocking out the sun - a colossal, unidentified object, rimmed in an eerie glow.
Was this some natural wonder, or something else? Their vessel sensed the intruder too; lights flickered in warning patterns as portal pulsed faster, almost desperately. Whatever its nature, it seemed this new presence meant to impose upon a world not its own.
Gripping hands, hearts pounding as one, Jennifer and David raced into the vessel just as the great shadow engulfed the lands. Portal activated in a flash of blinding light, transporting them into unknown spacial coordinates. Their fate, and Earth's, hung in the balance...
