Chapter 52 - Chapter 51

In the Vasquez household, Freddy was watching the news on the TV. It showed Black Adam fighting Kamen Rider and the new superhero. Freddy watched in horror as Kamen Rider was overpowered and injured by the powerful villain. He gasped as the news reported that the new superhero had flown away, carrying the wounded Kamen Rider to safety.

Freddy's eyes were glued to the screen, his heart racing. He saw the destruction Black Adam was wreaking, toppling buildings and terrorizing the citizens of Fawcett City. The reporter's voice trembled as she described the ancient villain's relentless assault.

"The new superhero has not been seen since he fled the scene with the injured Kamen Rider," the reporter announced, her words laced with uncertainty. "Authorities are urging all citizens to take shelter immediately, as this dangerous threat continues to rampage through the city."

Freddy gripped the remote tightly, his knuckles turning white. He couldn't believe what he was witnessing. The Kamen Rider, a hero he had admired from afar, had been overpowered and hurt. And now, the new superhero had vanished, leaving the city at the mercy of this unstoppable villain.

The electricity around the city suddenly got cut off, leaving the entire Vasquez household in darkness. Darla, the youngest of the foster children, gripped Mary's arm tightly, her eyes wide with fear.

"I'm scared, Mary," Darla whispered, her voice trembling.

Mary, the eldest sibling, wrapped her arms around Darla, pulling her close. "It's going to be okay, Darla," she soothed, her voice calm and reassuring. "The power will come back on, and everything will be just fine."

In the darkened Vasquez household, the foster children huddled together, their faces illuminated by the flickering glow of the television screen. Freddy, his brow furrowed with worry, stared intently at the images of destruction unfolding in Fawcett City.

"Billy and Haruka are out there," he murmured, his voice barely audible. "I hope they're okay."

Mary, the eldest sibling, gently placed a hand on Freddy's shoulder, her expression filled with concern. "We don't know what's happening, Freddy. All we can do is stay safe and wait for them to return."

Darla, clinging to Mary's side, trembled slightly. "What if they don't come back?" she asked, her voice small and fearful.

Eugene, ever the voice of reason, spoke up. "They're strong, Darla. They'll find a way to stop that villain and come back to us."

Pedro, the gentle giant, nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting the uncertainty they all felt.

The children fell silent, their attention focused on the news report as it continued to relay the unfolding chaos in the city. Freddy's heart raced, his mind consumed by thoughts of his friends and the perilous situation they now faced.

The foster children suddenly heard a knock on the door. Freddy went to check and saw Shazam carrying Haruka in his arms. "Freddy! Haruka needs help!" he exclaimed.

Freddy opened the door and ushered Billy inside. Mary, Darla, Eugene, and Pedro were shocked to see Shazam carrying the injured Haruka.

"What happened?" Freddy asked, his eyes wide with concern as he guided Shazam and Haruka into the living room.

Shazam's expression was one of urgency and fear. "Black Adam," he said, his voice strained. "He's too powerful. Haruka tried to stop him, but..." His words trailed off as he gently laid the Kamen Rider on the couch.

Mary, the eldest Vasquez sibling, looked at the muscular figure before her, her brow furrowed in confusion. "Who are you?" she asked, her gaze shifting between the injured Haruka on the couch and the stranger claiming to be Billy.

Shazam, still in his heroic form, took a deep breath. "Mary, it's me, Billy," he said, his voice filled with urgency.

Mary's eyes widened in disbelief. "Billy? But how..." Her words trailed off as she struggled to make sense of the situation.

Seeing the doubt in Mary's expression, Billy knew he had to prove his identity. "Shazam!" he exclaimed, and in a flash of lightning, his towering form shrank down, revealing the young Billy Batson standing before them.

The Vasquez children, including Freddy, Darla, Eugene, and Pedro, stared in awe at the transformation. Mary, her eyes wide, took a step forward, reaching out to touch Billy's shoulder, as if to assure herself that this was indeed her foster brother.

"Billy?" she whispered, her voice laced with disbelief and wonder. "How is this possible?"

Billy gave her a small, reassuring smile. "I'll explain everything, I promise," he said, his gaze shifting to the injured Haruka on the couch. "But right now, Haruka needs our help."

Darla watched in awe as Billy transformed from the towering Shazam into her small, familiar foster brother. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and she couldn't contain her enthusiasm.

"That's so cool, Billy!" Darla exclaimed, bouncing on the balls of her feet. "You're a real-life superhero!"

Mary, however, was less enthralled by the revelation. Her brow furrowed as she turned her attention to the injured Haruka on the couch.

"Billy, what happened to Haruka?" Mary asked, her voice laced with concern.

Billy looked down at the injured Kamen Rider on the couch, his expression filled with worry. "Haruka was trying to stop Black Adam, but he was too powerful for both of us to handle," he said, his voice strained.

Mary's brow furrowed as she listened to Billy's explanation. "But why was Haruka fighting this Black Adam?" she asked, her gaze shifting between the unconscious young man and her foster brother. "I thought he was just a normal person."

Billy hesitated, unsure of how to reveal Haruka's true identity. He knew his foster siblings deserved the truth, but he also didn't want to betray Haruka's trust. Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself to answer Mary's question.

Billy was about to answer, but Freddy spoke up. "Haruka is the Kamen Rider," Freddy said, his voice firm.

Billy's eyes widened, and he turned to Freddy. "Why did you tell them that?" he shouted, his brow furrowed in concern.

Freddy met Billy's gaze, his expression resolute. "We had no choice," he argued, gesturing to the injured Haruka on the couch. "Haruka needs our help, and they deserve to know the truth."

Mary, Darla, Eugene, and Pedro are shocked to learn Haruka is the Kamen Rider.

Mary's eyes widen as Freddy's revelation sinks in. She turns to Haruka's unconscious form on the couch, a new understanding dawning on her. "Haruka is... the Kamen Rider?" she murmurs, her voice tinged with disbelief.

Darla's face lights up with excitement. "Haruka is a superhero?" she exclaims, her eyes sparkling. "That's so amazing!"

Eugene furrows his brow, processing the information. "But how is that possible?" he questions, his analytical mind seeking answers. "Haruka is just a normal student, isn't he?"

Pedro, the gentle giant, remains silent, his gaze fixed on the injured Haruka. A sense of concern and protectiveness etches across his features.

Billy, sensing the tension in the room, steps forward. "I know this is a lot to take in," he says, his voice laced with empathy. "But Haruka needs our help. Black Adam is too powerful for him to handle alone."

Haruka's eyes fluttered open, and he found himself lying on a familiar couch in the Vasquez household. Billy stood nearby, his expression filled with concern.

"Haruka, are you okay?" Billy asked, his voice laced with worry.

Haruka blinked, assessing his condition. "I'm fine," he replied, pushing himself up into a sitting position. "Where are we?"

Billy nodded. "We're at my house," He gestured to the other children, who looked at Haruka with a mix of wonder and curiosity.

Darla's eyes sparkled with excitement as she leaned forward. "So, are you really the Kamen Rider?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.

Haruka turned to Billy, his brow furrowed. "Did you tell them?" he asked, his voice low and serious.

Billy shook his head. "It was Freddy who did it," he replied, his gaze shifting to the other Vasquez children, who watched the exchange with rapt attention.

Haruka let out a small sigh, running a hand through his hair. He should have known Freddy wouldn't be able to keep the secret. The boy's loyalty often overrode his sense of discretion.

Mary stepped forward, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "So it's true, then? Haruka, you're the Kamen Rider?"

Haruka reluctantly nodded, confirming Mary's suspicion. "Yes, I'm the Kamen Rider," he admitted, wincing as he tried to sit up on the couch.

Mary gently placed her hand on his shoulder, urging him to rest. "You're still injured, Haruka. You should take it easy."

Haruka looks up at Mary and the other Vasquez children. "I have something that can heal me," he says, reaching into his pocket.

He pulls out a small, red Shift Car and holds it in his palm. The car suddenly honks, and Eugene's eyes widen.

"Why did you take out a toy car?" Eugene asks, his brow furrowed in confusion.

Haruka looks at the Shift Car, his expression serious. "This is no ordinary toy," he says. "It's called Mad Doctor, a Shift Car, and it can heal my wounds."

Haruka holds the Shift Car up to his injured shoulder. "Please heal me," he says to the Shift Car.

The Shift Car honks loudly, and suddenly, a comically large syringe materializes in the air. Haruka braces himself as the syringe shoots a beam of energy at his shoulder.

Haruka screams in pain as the healing process begins. The energy beam is intense, and Haruka grits his teeth, trying to endure the discomfort.

After a few seconds, the beam dissipates, and Haruka's injuries have been completely healed. He flexes his arm, testing the newfound strength.

Freddy's eyes widen in amazement. "What just happened?" he asks, staring at Haruka's fully healed shoulder.

Haruka looks at the Vasquez children, his expression softening. "Mad Doctor has the ability to heal almost any wound," he explains. "But the process is quite painful."

Haruka pocketed the Shift Car as the Vasquez kids looked on with newfound respect.

Haruka looked to Billy, his brow furrowed with concern. "Where's Black Adam?" he asked, his voice strained.

Billy's expression grew serious. "He's still out there, wrecking havoc in the city."

"We have to stop him," Haruka insisted, pushing himself up from the couch. But as he tried to stand, a sharp pain shot through his body, and he winced, sinking back down to his knees.

Mary rushed to his side, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, take it easy," she said, her voice soft but firm. "You're still hurt. You need to rest."

Haruka wanted to argue, to insist that he had to get back out there, but the throbbing in his body told him Mary was right. With a frustrated sigh, he allowed himself to be eased back onto the couch, his gaze filled with determination.

"Black Adam is too powerful," he muttered, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. "I have to stop him, no matter what."

Billy shook his head grimly. "Haruka, Black Adam is too powerful for us to take on alone," he admitted, his expression filled with concern. "We need help."

Haruka's brow furrowed as he listened to Billy's assessment. "Then what do you suggest we do?" he asked, his voice strained.

Billy's gaze shifted to the Vasquez children, who watched the exchange with rapt attention. "We need to go to the Rock of Eternity," he said, his voice laced with urgency. "I'm sure that place can help us defeat Black Adam."

The Vasquez children looked on, their expressions a mix of hope and uncertainty, as Billy and Haruka discussed their next course of action.
