[ Vol 2: The Sovereign's Ascension ]
---
The days following the battle with the angel passed in a blur of activity. The tamers of the enclave had been emboldened by their victory, and more tamers from across the region were arriving every day, drawn by the promise of something greater. Word had spread quickly, Hiro, the Beast Sovereign, had defeated a divine enforcer. It was a feat that had seemed impossible, and yet, here he stood, living proof that the gods could be challenged.
But Hiro knew that the gods would strike back. The angel had been only the first of many, and each new enemy they face would be stronger than the last. They need more allies, more tamers willing to join the fight.
"We can't stay here forever," Hiro said one evening as he and Lina stood at the edge of the enclave, watching the sun dip below the mountains. "The gods know where we are now. It's only a matter of time before they send another attack."
Lina nodded, her hawk perched on her shoulder. "So, where do we go next?"
Hiro's gaze drifted to the horizon. "We need to find more tamers. Thorne mentioned other enclaves, hidden deep in the wilderness. If we can unite them, we'll have a real chance at standing against the gods."
Lina's eyes glinted with determination. "Then let's go. The more tamers we have, the stronger we'll be."
Hiro smiled faintly. Lina had grown into a fierce ally, her skills as a tamer improving with every day. She had unlocked a bond with her beasts that few tamers could achieve, and Hiro knew she would play a vital role in the battles to come.
"We leave tomorrow," Hiro said, his voice firm. "The gods won't wait."
