Chapter 8 - Timeskip. 2

4 years.

The last few years had been brutal on me, not really but still. I could write now, not all that legibly but at least I could. I also learned how to read a few years back, infact what I said a years back turned out to be true indeed, the library did in fact become my new, or first, best friend in this world.

I wasn't much of a bookworm back in my previous life, but give a person nothing to do other than wave some toys around or blankly stare at the ceiling, and you'll see how quick books are to seduce a guy into the depths of nerdism.

I still haven't really seen much outside as of yet, but mother promised me I could in a couple days so I wasn't really stressing it that much.

In the case of those strange particles, I could now see as many of them without entering zen with my eyes as I could with my mind's eye. Though I could stop seeing them with a mere mental command somehow.

Just had to say "GO AWAY!" in my mind really loud and they seemed to obey, neat. They were all I had to play with, and if I concentrated enough I could even hear them "telling" me stuff. Huh. Maybe I was just schizophrenic? Hearing glowing particles whisper shit to me sounded weird now that I thought about it.

Anyway!

I learned some more about this world, and I had to say, it was quite interesting indeed, damn even my internal lingo is turning more nerdy. I was currently in the Eldarian empire of Umyemelne with my mother surprisingly holding the title of Archduke. Which meant that yes, indeed I was royalty. Urethia can go suck some.

Anyway, Our duchy was called Sahtala- my last name.

We were currently in the Dirham Era with the previous era being the Seabing era. I couldn't find any more information on the previous ones.

The continent was collectively called by all the races as Presia, named after the collective god of power, Presan, how all the races agreed on a deity was beyond me, but anyhow. The layout of the continent was kinda like that of the mediterranean sea with Europe and north africa. It was a big ass sea completely encased in land with mountains encasing either sides of the continent, with the only way of leaving was by sky or 2 straits towards the south of the continent.

That was basically all I knew currently about the world, with some information on the names of the surrounding countries, I still had a limit on the amount of time out of my room. So it wasn't like I could spend the entire day in and out of the library.

Today I was told I will be starting my formal education. I had asked Urethia about this after throwing a fit and apparently because I was apparently a "genius" or "prodigy" my mother decided to set me up early.Hm.. Maybe I shouldve played the idiot indeed.

I was currently waiting for Urethia to pick me up for my first lesson, since they weren't going to be done in my personal chambers…

'igh now. Who the fuck says personal chambers.'

Anyway they weren't going to be done in the comfort of my room.

A few minutes later, a figure came into my room unannounced, without knocking, with no respect, and immediately causing a racket. Who could it be except that damned Urethia?

"Young master! Time for your first lesson! Aren't you excited!"

"Shut up, there's no reason present in the world for you to be screaming in my ears at this hour."

"Ok now, watch that tone young ma- toddler. You're a century too young to be directing such words at me. Plus, the Madam has hired only the best tutors for your studies. You have also been permitted more time out of your room, including the excursion to outside in a couple days. You should be in a joyous mood. Not all this gloom." She replied in a huff.

'All that yapping. For what? Fuckkk I really don't want to start this tudoring bs.'

With the theatrics out the way we then started walking towards the area designated for my tutoring. It was quite a distance away from my room but was still under my area of the palace.

Upon entering I immediately noticed a young man? Maybe not young. His hair had strands of white, but his face was young and his skin still tight and not wrinkled. His Hair was as dark as night itself with visible strands of white mixed in, he had molten-silver eyes. All in all he had an above average appearance. Don't be fooled, this "above average appearance" would've been enough to make him the most handsome man back on earth. It's just this world, almost everybody is stupidly beautiful. He is only above the norm.

Ignoring his looks, he seemed to have the aura of a scholar. He appeared in a daze.

All this information was gathered in merely a glance, soon he seemed to get out of his trance and noticed my and Urethia's entry.

"Greetings, your eminence.. Miss Urethia." He didn't spend much time on the greetings and immediately went to study with me. He.. he just kept on staring at me, even with my thick skin I got a little flustered. Seeing me slightly uncomfortable, Urethra glared at him. Which made him shake his head. He then sighed, turned and started pacing around.

He then said, "Since I was called upon on such short notice, I hadn't really figured out what type of curriculum I should be teaching. Hell, I don't even know if you can even grasp what I have to teach.. They call you a genius, a prodigy even. But do you really live up to such a title?" He stopped pacing and faced me looking directly in my eyes, searching for something?

"I don't really know If i can match your expectations sir.. "Gileind." Sir Gileind, but know this. I shall give my all towards your tutelage. I will ensure that your time is not wasted." Yeah.. that was a load of bullshit. If his class was even a little bit too hard I don't think he's going to be seeing me much.

After hearing what I had to say I noticed his eyes widening slowly, he looked up seemingly pondering on what he should say.

"If that is the case, then I shall expect the best and only the best from you. With your moniker of a prodigy, you should be able to keep up." He then went back to his pacing, before looking back at me.

"You should go back for today. I have nothing to teach and will be preparing for the day. From now on, I shall be your teacher for the next 2-3 years."

After saying so, he waved me off.

Leaving the room, I looked to Urethia, I asked.

"Who is he? And where are my other teachers? I don't believe I only have to deal with one."

She then replied, deep amusement in her voice. "That was Sr Gileind, he is among the top scholars of our age, and no, not in our nation. But among the world. His fame exceeds him heavily. With many labeling him a genius, but a mad one. Why the Madam chose him to be your tutor I wouldn't know. But do know you're good- no.. You're in decent hands."

She took a pause clearly trying to hold in her laughter, before saying- "He's known to be extreme, and quite the perfectionist.Maybe I should pray for you young master. As for the topic of other teachers. I don't know, perhaps Sir Giliend will be all there is.
