Everything was great until the people I trusted turned out to be snakes, backstabbers. My trust broke officially that day and now I don't even want to see her face ever again. Such a liar.
I then took out my diary are wrote down, 'Don't trust those smiling faces,' I then put down my pen in disbelief thinking about all those times I stood by her side, supporting her at all her fall all while she was just stabbing me in my back with smile which hid it.
'She was not just a liar, she was also a manipulator, who had been using me until now I found out about it,' I thought. Don't worry darling I will make sure you will pay for this without knowing I behind this, against you.
You have seen the sweetness in me till now, get ready to feel my bitter side, the dark side. I closed the diary furiously, took a deep breath and with a slight smile I walked out of the room.
I sat down on the couch with my laptop and was looking up in Google about my dream city when I got a text from a friend. '4pm tomorrow at BakeN' cakes.' I agreed. But before that I should get permission from my mom, and to my surprise she actually agreed.
I then went back to my room and shut the door behind me. I sat on my bed with the moonlight and the streetlights as the only source of light around me. My phone beeped. When I opened it, I saw a group picture of me and my classmates. I lied on the bed looking at the ceiling. Then I slowly closed my eyes and remembered that beautiful moment.
"Need more grass!" Juleka said to the boys as she tried to steady the crib. Every class were busy in making crib and decorating the Christmas tree.
"Special delivery," Skyler said as he gave the grass to me. "Want anything else?" He added.
"Where are the others?" I asked confused as the other boys in our class were nowhere to be seen.
"I don't know," He shrugged." Adrien, Atlas, Martin, Lucas, and me, we are here right? Isn't that enough lil mouse?" he asked me with a wink.
"I have told you a million times to not call me that, I never call you a kitty cat," I asked in rage.
"You still calls me chipmunk," he said with his arms crossed. "Kitty is an exception but chipmunk is not,"
"That's because you sounds like one" I said looking straight in his eyes.
"Do I?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Certainly," Juleka said as she took the grass from me. "No offence but that's a fact dude." I giggled to her response.
"No one was talking to you, doodlebug," He said a little annoyed.
"Now you just did, chipmunk," she mocked him.
"Done with the tree, is there anything else?" Adrien said as he stood behind Skyler.
"Who called you here giraffe?" Skyler took out his anger on that poor guy.
"Hey, just because I am not so tall, it doesn't… argh! Forget it as if you are so tall, chipmunk," Adrien said as he patted on Skyler's head.
"How do—did you tell him?" Skyler looked at me with rage in his eyes. I shook my head.
"Everyone knows about it chipmunk," Juleka said. "Anyways, we will call if we need something Adrien." She said. Adrien had to drag Skyler from there a he was ready to attack her. "Get lost cat"
"I WILL KILL YOU DOODLEBUG!" He screamed as Adrien dragged him out of there.
I woke up to my alarm beeping. It was morning already. All those days were just memories now. I got ready and went to the kitchen for breakfast. It was dark outside and the weather reporters said a storm can be expected.
"I'm leaving mom", I said as I walked towards the front door. I could see her waving at me from the kitchen until I shut the door behind me.
I was walking through the footpath scrolling through my phone looking at the photos by brother posted from Paris, when suddenly a drop of water fell on the screen, followed by another and before I knew it, it started raining. I ran to the bus stop. 'God! Mom had told to take an umbrella' I thought as I shielded my face from the rain. It just got heavier and water was dashing into the shed. My top started to get wet due to the rain and god I don't want to know how much water will be stored in the sneakers. I sat on the bench accepting my defeat. Suddenly my phone ringed, it was my friend whom I was supposed to be with now if it wasn't for the rain.
"Why does it always happen to us?" She screamed from the other side of the phone as I took it.
"What happened?" I asked in a confused tone.
"Last time when we planned to meet you were out of town, before that my brother had to call me for an "emergency" at the last minute, and now this… RAIN!" I could feel her frustration but what can I do I ain't no super dude to stop the rain or something.
"It's alright Alexa, today we will me, okay?" I tried to calm her down even though I have no idea how to get through this rain.
"Okay girl, I'll be there" saying she hung up. I had no idea how to get to her house as the rain showed no chance of going away. I was stuck but worse, drenched head to toe.
Suddenly a blue Mercedes came into sight, to my shock it stopped right next to me. I was shivering, due to both cold and fear to be honest. My heart was beating so fast as so many thoughts came into my mind, 'Am I gonna get kidnapped?'
Then the glass slowly started to slide down and I was so nervous as I could only see a figure sitting on the driver's seat.
"Lil mouse all alone?" A voice came from the car. 'Lil mouse?' I know that name, heard it before. "Are you lost lil mouse?" His voice was so deep I barely recognized it.
"Skyler?" I asked in a confused tone. He opened the door from inside and signaled me to get in. I did.
"Long time no see," He said as he started the engine and drove forward. "Where are you heading anyway in this rain?"
"Is this your new car?" I asked as I looked at the interior.
"Picked her up yesterday, isn't she awesome?" He asked in a proud way. "But you didn't answer my question, where are you going?"
"Alexa had called me for a meet up so I was heading to BakeN' Cakes," I then looked at him, the old childish Skyler was gone. His dark brown eyes looked rather serious than before, looks like he had been working out hard as his body looked fit as much as his face with the sharp jawline which could make any girl fall over instantly, his voice changed deeper than before. I let out a deep breath which caught his attention.
"Are you cold? Is there something wrong?" He asked as he looked at me and then back to the road. He reached out a jacket from the back seat and handed it to me. "This will keep you warm I guess,"
"Thank you, Skyler," I said as I took the jacket from him. He just looked at me and nodded.
"But the BakeN' Cakes only opens after 3, and now it's only 11am, what are you going to do there so early?" He asked me with his eyes on the road.
"We were actually going to have lunch at a new restaurant which just opened last week in the downtown." I said as I covered myself with the jacket.
"Coincidence or mare luck," He said as he smiled. "I am headed there too." I looked at him raising my eyebrows. He caught me staring and continued, "You remember, Adrien from high school." The mention of his name sent butterflies to my stomach. Remember? Wow nice use of words. I though as I nodded. "Yeah he had asked me to meet there."
Shortly we reached our destination. He told me that I could wear that jacket as my top was drenched by the rain. We entered the restaurant and the place screamed rich. How did she afford this place, my parents would've killed me if I even had a thought on coming to this place. I then spotted Alexa waving at me from the table. She had company, couldn't see who it was as the she was blocking the way.
Skyler, who was looking at the phone, turned to me, "Hey are we expecting to meet someone?" I shook my head. "Then let's go."
I walked towards the table with Skyler and she stood up with excitement and squealed, "Look who I found." She said and then I saw the person sitting there. He was looking at his phone messaging someone. His dark black hair falling over his face as he kept on texting.
"Alex? Wait you were meeting Alex? You guys had been in touch the whole time? "Skyler asked confused.
Hearing his voice the boy looked away from the phone and up at eyes. My heart skipped a beat as I saw his gorgeous brown eyes, his sharp jaw line just like the one before. He smiled when he saw us and I just melted.
"Chipmunk? Is that really you?" Alexa asked shocked on seeing Skyler behind me meanwhile I was still standing there staring at the person sitting there looking at me.
"Hey Sam." His voice, the same soothing one as before. He was saying something else but I couldn't hear it as if I was in a dream. Someone suddenly shook me from behind and I snapped out of the dream.
"Hey Adrien," I said with a smile, an awkward one. "I'm so sorry I just got zoned out." I said as I pushed a lock of hair behind my ear.
"Just like before. "Skyler said as he put a hand over my shoulder. "So dude how did you find Alex?"
"Actually I found him." Alexa said arms crossed. "Come sit, it's been so long since we all met." She said with enthusiasm. I sat down beside her and Skyler sat down beside Adrien.
She was right it's been so long since we saw, and as I sat there looking at her chatting with them, so many memories from the past, the high school. So many crazy, foolish and beautiful ones along with some betrayals that left some scars in my trust.
