Magic: this is split into mana core and mind palace 

cultivation: this is split into qi core and body 

the major ranks will be consistent for both magic and cultivation, it will go from rank 1-6 and after rank 6 is a secret.

You can train both magic and cultivation at the same time but for reasons I will explain further in the story nearly nobody does that.

You train your qi core and body separately, same with mana core and mind palace but you cant have one vastly superior in rank then the other.

Rank 1-3 are put under the mortal category so if you are in one of these ranks you are still called a mortal.

Rank 4-6 are put under the Demigod category as when you go up to rank four you gain traits that people usually associate with divinity such as flight, a increase in lifespan and a vast increase in power.

Ranks above 6 you will learn later in the novel.
