Chapter 25 - How to learn Magic

We arrived at the arena and Calypso starts drawing some things on the ground.

"Let's begin, your majesty. First, let's talk about how the use of magic works. There are several ways to use magic, and among these various methods, I can mention:"

Quick Conjuration = Invocation through sequential speech using the magic once and then using more in sequence without needing to conjure again, so you only need to say the name once and you can cast the same magic in sequence.

Slow Conjuration = A long incantation used to cast extremely powerful spells, the casting speech can last minutes, hours, days, and even months until the magic is released.

Instant Conjuration = Uses magic without any speech, casting it instantly just by thinking about its use and putting magic into it.

Magic Circle = Draw a magic circle on anything or anywhere to cast a spell, thus avoiding saying anything, just drawing the circle and putting magic to use it.

Summoning = Uses mana to form a spell without speech, but they are weaker and require an excellent mental image of the magic.

Automatic Use = Spells that can be activated and used instantly or recorded in magical circles for later use.

Enchantment = Use of magic by writing it on any object, thus recording the magic on the object and using it later by putting mana into the enchantment. Normally used in the creation of weapons and artifacts.

Racial Magic = Specific magic of a race, its use can vary from instant to needing something, its uses are varied and depend on the race.

Manifestation = Magics that are the manifestation of pure mana, thus being able to ignore several steps to cast the spell more quickly or instantly.

Overlaid Magic = Spells that are made in layered, divided into several overlapping magic circles, one on top of the other.

False Conjuration = A method to shorten the speech of a spell, making its use time faster in exchange for sacrificing part of the spell's power.

Magical Objectification = Makes the magic become an object, which when imbued with magic activates, using the magic of the object and disappearing shortly after.

"These are some of the methods, your majesty, but there are more, and a new one can always arise. The ones I mentioned are what I consider most relevant since they are the most used."

I notice that some of these are methods I've already used instinctively, like Quick Conjuration, which I used in [Dark Lance].

"These drawings I've recorded on the ground are some examples, they are magic circles of some types. Can you notice anything different about them?"

"...Hmmm..." I think carefully while observing, they all have the same appearance.

"I think... those two are consuming more magic," I say, pointing to two of the circles.

"Correct, depending on the method used, the magic can charge more or less mana, as well as become stronger or weaker. Now tell me, do you know which methods were used?"

"...No idea, they look exactly the same..." They are perfect copies of each other.

"Yes, I can't tell either... This is a method of magic circle camouflage, it was made to prevent others from stealing your magic circle. Each magic circle has a different appearance, none are the same as another."

"If someone discovers which magic circle is being used, they can prevent it in various ways. Additionally, it is also possible to simply overload the other person's magic circle with your own mana if you know which magic circle it is."

"And the method to prevent this is this one, it's called magical camouflage, and your majesty can easily do it, it's not a skill or passive."

"How do I do this?" Sounds useful, I don't want my spells to go wrong because of others.

"To do this, your majesty must cover your magic circle with your own mana and then create a forgery on top of the original."

"Wouldn't that change the shape of the circle?" I didn't quite understand, if I forge it on top, wouldn't the circle be different?

"No, not in that way, your majesty. The method to discover the formula of a magic circle is not to look at its shape, but to look at the magical circuits of the circle. The shape of the magic circle is different for each person."

"Even if I use a spell and you use the same spell, the two magic circles would be different. That is, you can't tell by looking at the shape, but you can tell by looking at the magical signature in the circle."

"And to hide the magical circuits of the circle, you just need to cover it with your mana. That way, if someone tries to see the magical signature, they simply won't be able to."

There's something that makes me doubtful about this explanation.

"If the shape of each circle is different for each person, then the books that teach magic circles wouldn't all be wrong?"

"No, because the magic circles are all the same, but when someone uses the circle, it changes shape to adapt to the person's mana. In other words, the shape in the books is the true shape of the magic circle, and the shape of each person's magic circle is the shape adapted for personal use."

"I see... it makes sense, in this way each circle is unique while at the same time being the same for everyone... magic is much more complex than I thought."

"Does the magical signature change for different spells? For example, if someone discovered my magical signature, could they interfere with the use of 100% of my spells?"I ask with doubt.

"The signature changes each time it is made, so even if you make a magic circle and then copy it, the signature will be different, even though it's the same person and the same spell."

"However, even if you can discover and interfere with a spell using this method, it is still difficult to use, as you will have to discover the magical signature, which can take time depending on the complexity of the magic circle."

Her expression of happiness at having explained everything correctly is amusing and makes her seem a bit cute.

"So what are these magic circles?"

"They all have the simple fire magic, because it's easier to draw," I see that the symbols are really few and simple, and the magic circle is quite small, not even compared to the summoning magic circle of the heroes.

"Now about methods of learning magic, there are several ways."

"You can learn magic by being taught by someone, trying to do it through explanations until it becomes a skill."

"Reading books, those with talent can learn alone just by reading didactic explanations and training."

"Through grimoires or items that grant specific spells, in this method you learn instantly without any practice, although you will hardly learn very high-level spells this way."

"You can also learn using some ability, like what I believe your majesty has done with Kaelith's dark magic."

"It is also possible to learn just by observing the use of magic, but this method is ineffective and difficult, as you will have to try to understand the magic, its formation, and its operation on your own."

"It is also possible to learn certain spells by force, either by recording them in your body or having someone force a spell on you, but this method can lead to death and hardly anyone knows how to pass magic to another."

"There are other methods, but I don't think they are as good. The methods I believe are best for your majesty are being taught by someone and reading books alone, as your majesty learns quickly."

"...I apologize, your majesty, I wanted to teach more, but I was called to help a friend."

"Wait, are you just going to leave me here? Seriously?" I'm her king, but she's just going to abandon me to talk to a friend? I need to teach these people some discipline urgently, what's the use of all the respect they have for me if they act this way.

"...Your majesty, this friend will be coming to the castle to teach theology to you, but she was busy when I called her, so she's finishing everything she needs to come in person. I apologize if this was disrespectful, but I'm thinking of what's best for your majesty."

After she says this with a sad face, I feel a bit bad, I didn't know she was doing this for me and I said things.

"It's okay, don't worry... here, this is for you..." I've never been good at gifts and I don't know what a girl would like, the most I've heard is that girls like flowers, so I created a bouquet of black roses, since they are made of shadows.

"T-Thank you..." She accepts it while blushing, and from her smile, I think she liked it. She soon leaves, and I go to the room, I need to see how Elena is, after all, I've been with Calypso for several hours, it's already dawn.

After probably releasing Elena, I'll go see Thalor, with him I'll learn to use weapons, I'm excited to learn how to use some equipment.

Soon I arrive at the room and enter, it's completely silent. I walk to the bed and see that Elena has passed out, her body still convulsing.

I see that the dildos are still in place while her pussy squeezes the dildos even with her unconscious, seeing that she did everything to obey me even passed out puts a smile on my face.

Although the smell of the room is extremely dense and obscene, I don't care. I first remove the mask from Elena's mouth, the dildo in the mask is full of drool.

Her face is so cute even messed up like this, I soon remove the dildos from her vagina, while she trembles, I think she passed out completely since she doesn't wake up even with this.

I pull the anal plug with difficulty.

"How do I take these balls out of there..." I start using a fine control of shadows to push the balls out, after 3 minutes I manage to remove them all.

I start to unchain her and remove the collar, then I carry her to my bathroom and start to bathe her, while I made a shadow drag a maid to clean my room. After bathing Elena for half an hour, I manage to leave her completely clean and fragrant.

Caring for her unconscious seems like I'm caring for a doll or something. Soon I return to the room, which is now completely clean, I carefully place Elena on the bed and kiss her forehead as I leave the room.

"Have a good rest, Elena," I say, closing the door and going to eat something to then see Thalor.
