Synopsis
Nadir is a world where humans are the lowest form of life, they are hunted, enslaved, hunted, and torn apart by the towering, godlike Nades. For generations, the Nades have ruled with ruthless tradition, and the humans, weak and disposable, are forced to survive in the shadows. The Tradition is the ultimate bloodsport—a savage ritual where 24 humans and 24 Nades are thrown onto a cursed island to battle each other, the elements, and the monstrous creatures of darkness, born from the darkest nightmares of Nadir’s past. For ten months, the island becomes a graveyard. This year, everything changes. Kai'vier, a human hybrid, has been chosen—the first of his kind to ever be thrust into the Tradition. Raised by a fallen Nade clan and marked by a forbidden bloodline, Kai'vier stands between two worlds that hate him. To the Nades, he is a disgrace, a stain on their purity. To the humans, he’s an outsider with too much Nade in his veins. But for Kai'vier, the Tradition is more than a fight for survival—it’s a battle for revolution. If he can survive deaths razor-sharp claws, the brutal Nade warriors, and the deadly isolation of the island, he could become a symbol of hope for the oppressed, and the spark that ignites a rebellion. His fight is no longer just for survival—it’s for revolution. But in a world where trust is a weapon and betrayal is inevitable, can one hybrid change the fate of his own kind?

Chapter 1 - Arché

Humans.

We are humans, born to survive, born to suffer, born to die. We have been punished ever since the first arrival, punished for not being like them, punished for being weak. Not every human survived, only the children and those who were strong enough to live past the aching oxygen of this world. And past them.

We never understood how and why we were brought to this world. But as time went on, humans stopped asking themselves that question, forgetting their origin. It wasn't intentional, humans just didn't have the time to wonder about such things, after all, you had to survive first.

Over generations, humans have been able to adapt to this planet, to its low oxygen concentrations, the environment, the food, but no human could ever survive them. For the first time. We weren't alone. Stories are told of how humans never feared anything, those who remember their origin keep our culture alive giving us hope and tales of our "strength", always talking of our past in that world as if we were at the top of the food chain, no living thing would dare defy the humans, after all, we were made in God's image, the closest thing to God was us. But if we are the closest thing to God, then what does that make them?

The Nades.

Creatures' native to the planet they called Nadir, they call it home, they were like gods to the human race. Born in the harsh conditions of this planet, their bodies became stronger to adapt to it. They learnt how to survive and thrive, hunting animals bigger than them. These creatures knew no fear, for no being could ever top them.

Even the humans were nothing against them.

Worst was, they knew.

For the first time,

Humans felt fear.

...

The first humans that ever appeared in Nadir go 400 Sun's into the past. The beginning of the Clans Leaders had not been long after, a sudden night of tranquility led a battle between the first humans and Nades. Stories are told that humans had weapons that penetrated the skin of the Nades faster than an arrow. They called it guns. But even so the humans lost. Ever since, humans have adapted to Nadir. However, they also became the most hated. Humans began getting hunted by the Nades, some even ate the human flesh, or were slaved. And ever since being born a human in this accursed world is death. Those who survive have learnt to die to themselves only to become walking corpses waiting to be slayed by a Nades hand.
