Humans.
We are humans, born to survive, born to suffer, born to die. We have been punished ever since the first arrival, punished for not being like them, punished for being weak. Not every human survived, only the children and those who were strong enough to live past the aching oxygen of this world. And past them.
We never understood how and why we were brought to this world. But as time went on, humans stopped asking themselves that question, forgetting their origin. It wasn't intentional, humans just didn't have the time to wonder about such things, after all, you had to survive first.
Over generations, humans have been able to adapt to this planet, to its low oxygen concentrations, the environment, the food, but no human could ever survive them. For the first time. We weren't alone. Stories are told of how humans never feared anything, those who remember their origin keep our culture alive giving us hope and tales of our "strength", always talking of our past in that world as if we were at the top of the food chain, no living thing would dare defy the humans, after all, we were made in God's image, the closest thing to God was us. But if we are the closest thing to God, then what does that make them?
The Nades.
Creatures' native to the planet they called Nadir, they call it home, they were like gods to the human race. Born in the harsh conditions of this planet, their bodies became stronger to adapt to it. They learnt how to survive and thrive, hunting animals bigger than them. These creatures knew no fear, for no being could ever top them.
Even the humans were nothing against them.
Worst was, they knew.
For the first time,
Humans felt fear.
...
The first humans that ever appeared in Nadir go 400 Sun's into the past. The beginning of the Clans Leaders had not been long after, a sudden night of tranquility led a battle between the first humans and Nades. Stories are told that humans had weapons that penetrated the skin of the Nades faster than an arrow. They called it guns. But even so the humans lost. Ever since, humans have adapted to Nadir. However, they also became the most hated. Humans began getting hunted by the Nades, some even ate the human flesh, or were slaved. And ever since being born a human in this accursed world is death. Those who survive have learnt to die to themselves only to become walking corpses waiting to be slayed by a Nades hand.
