It was the evening and the last day of Middle School for this class. Aldera Junior High, located in Musutafu.
"C'mon class! You're all middle school seniors. It is time to think about your future carefully," He paused. "BUT I KNOW ALL OF YOU WANNA BE HEROES!" He yelled.
"YEAH!" All of the class responded simultaneously. All of them activated their quirks at once.
"Oi oi! I know all of your quirks are wonderful, but you know it isn't allowed in school.'' The teacher said.
The teacher sighed, but there was a grin on his face. "You're lucky it's the last day, or I'd be writing up half of you right now." He crossed his arms, pretending to be stern.
One student sitting in the back corner leaned back in his chair with a cocky smirk. Katsuki Bakugo. "Heh, like any of us care. We're going to UA anyway," he muttered.
"Shut up!" Another boy yelled out. Izuku Midoriya, all of them were surprised as this was not the usual behaviour for the lad. Unbeknownst to them, the boy is having an internal argument with his resident, Chronos. 'Chronos. I'm tired of you, please shut up.' Izuku told Chronos.
A dark smirk came across Chronos' face. 'Come on, young mortal, let me handle Katsuki. A good riddance to you.' He said.
'What a load of bullshit.' Izuku thought as he was snapped out of his internal conversation.
"Oi Izuku! Who do you think you are, telling me to shut up?!" Katsuki snapped back as explosions crackled on his palms.
"Cool off Katsuki! I was thinking of something else." Izuku responded as he closed his eyes.
Katsuki scoffed, but the crackling sparks in his palms died out. "Tch. Whatever, you damn nerd." He fell back into his chair, arms crossed, though his frustration was still apparent. The rest of the class breathed a sigh of relief.
"Well, we have two students applying for U.A., I suppose." The students who were applying to the U.A. High School were clearly apparent in the class. Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugou. "Izuku and Katsuki, you both have powerful quirks. I do not doubt that you both would pass the entrance examination." The teacher said.
"Tch." Katsuki clicked his tongue, standing up from his chair with that usually annoyed scowl plastered on his face. He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out the door.
Meanwhile, Izuku gave the teacher a small, appreciative smile. "Thanks, Teach," he said quietly, bowing his head slightly.
Izuku Midoriya stepped through the classroom door, his shoes tapping lightly against the polished floor as the voices of his classmates faded behind him. The hallways of Aldera Junior High felt strangely empty now, despite the chatter echoing from other rooms.
As he stepped out into the courtyard, Katsuki Bakugo stood near the gate.
"Oi, Deku," Katsuki called, not even bothering to turn around. "You better not screw up at U.A."
Izuku stopped, blinking in surprise at the remark—not as harsh as usual, but still carrying that familiar edge.
"Tch," Katsuki added. "You're lucky you've got that weird-ass quirk now. Otherwise, I would've put you on the ground for thinking that you could go to the same school as me, again."
Izuku smiled awkwardly. "Yeah... lucky," he murmured, Chronos was an irritating bitch. 24/7, he does not give it a break.
As he walked on the road, he came across a tunnel when suddenly a huge green slime creature blasted out of a manhole cover. "AH! Perfect hiding sp-" Time stop: Object. Izuku called out as he pointed at the slime. He began walking out as All Might too came out of the manhole cover...what the fuck?
"I AM HER- Oh, He is dealt with." All Might looked around and found Izuku.
All Might's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Young man, what exactly did you do here?" he asked, gesturing toward the frozen villain.
Izuku tensed. "Uh... I just—well, it's kinda complicated..."
"Complicated, huh? Well, it looks like you've got quite the handle on it! That's some quick thinking, young man!" All Might crouched beside the immobilized villain. "I never saw such a quirk! Amazing, young man! So you can freeze people."
"It's not exactly... freezing," Izuku said. "It's... stopping time."
All Might's eyes widened briefly, though his grin never faltered. "Stopping time, you say? That's a powerful ability. And dangerous, if not used properly." He gave Izuku a thoughtful look.
"You better catch him before 15 seconds or my quirk's effect is gonna fall off." Hearing this All Might tightened his fist and clenched his butt and with his whole spirit, he yelled. "SMASH!" The villain was scattered to pieces. But All Might was quick enough to bottle him up quickly. "Thank you, young man. I hope you come to U.A. I'm not allowed to tell you but I am gonna be a teacher at U.A!" All Might exclaimed. "By the way, what is your name, young man?" he asked.
"My name is Izuku...Izuku Midoriya." Izuku said. "Well, good luck to you, young Midoriya. I hope that I can teach you." All Might responded as he took off.
As Izuku began walking home, he replayed the encounter with All Might in his mind. The way All Might had looked at him with admiration, the thrill of showing off his quirk—even if it was still a secret—was unexplainable.
The streets of Musutafu bustled with life around him, families enjoying the warm evening air, children laughing as they played.
"U.A. High School," he murmured. This is happening.
As he walked, Izuku couldn't help but feel a little proud.
The route home took him past the park where he often practised, a place filled with memories. He thought of the day when he first encountered Chronos. From that point till now, he had become powerful enough to become a hero. He was gonna be the no. 1 hero.
With that thought, he quickened his pace.
As he turned the corner onto his street, he noticed the familiar sight of his home.
Pushing open the door, he was greeted by the inviting aroma of dinner. "Izuku! You're home!" his mother called out from the kitchen, her voice filled with warmth and love.
" I'm back!" he replied. As he stepped inside, he could see her moving around, setting the table with care.
"What's for dinner?" he asked.
His mother turned, her expression brightening even more. "Your favourite—curry rice! I made it just for you." She stirred a large pot on the stove.
"It smells amazing, Mom!" he exclaimed.
"Thank you! I thought we could celebrate your last day of middle school," she said, placing a steaming bowl on the table. "I'm so proud of you, Izuku. You've worked so hard."
He took a seat at the table. "I really appreciate it," he replied, picking up his chopsticks.
"Did anything exciting happen today?" his mother asked as she joined him at the table.
Izuku paused, considering whether to share the details of his encounter with All Might. "It was a good day, just a lot of thinking about the future. You know, about U.A. and everything."
His mother nodded. "I know you'll get in. You're going to be a fantastic hero one day."
"Thanks, Mom. That means a lot." He dug into his meal.
As they ate, they chatted about small things—his mother shared stories from her day at work, and Izuku told her about his friends from school, carefully omitting the more chaotic moments involving Katsuki and the slime villain. The familiar routine was comforting. A happy son with his loving mother.
