Chapter 47 - Chapter 47

Jessica's POV

"You're such a bitch!" Lily screamed from her car.

I laughed, seeing the effect I had on her.

"Only two things can help you now." I said, grinning from ear to ear. "It's either you tell me why you have Chase wiring a grand to you, or confirm my request." I said, winking.

"You seriously cannot be saying this." Lily sighed.

I enjoyed being in control, making her weak. It made me all shades of happy.

"You know what's funny?" Lily asked, with a sad smile. "The fact that you always hated me for the longest time, because Chase liked me. And now that it's Emma's turn, you want me to be on your side. Emma's my friend." She didn't even sound convinced herself.

I laughed very deeply and sped off again. She caught up with me, again.

"Hand over my phone and tell me what you want." Lily conceded. I knew she wasn't gonna play any funny games, so I gave her back.

"I'll call you." I said, sealing our deal before speeding off. Mission accomplished.

I raced back home feeling very good and proud of myself.

But all these happened before Chase's accident and house boundary.

Lily and I bonded, and so did Lily and Emma.

It was all part of the deal. We avoided each other and sometimes, and I even caught my fun bullying her and Emma.

"Hey." I spoke to her one day after school.

"What's up?" She replied. I used to intimidate her when we started off.

 "Nothing. You?" I asked.

"Well, nothing much either." She replied. In my mind, I had begun to feel really disappointed in my choice of ally. "There's nothing to get from Emma. We have to work with what we have."

"How did she feel about her grade?" I asked Lily, smiling.

 "You did that?" Lily asked.

"What do you think?" I replied.

"How did you do that?!" She asked. Sometimes, I didn't know who her loyalty was with. At first, she made it seem like I was the only one who made her two-time Emma. But she also seemed a little too zealous about it to be just my influence.

"Well, I used to know Mr Rudd." I admitted.

Lily knew a bit about our trysts, and I was kinda comfortable with it.

Until the incident with him and Chase, I was pretty comfortable mentioning his name.

These days, it tasted so bitter in my mouth. I hated to remember all his horrible self put me through.

"Y'all so really seem so close of late." She said, leaning towards me.

"Don't do that." I replied and walked out on her as I saw Emma approaching.

"What was she saying?"I heard Emma ask her as I walked away.

I laughed, Emma didn't know what was coming.

I hopped into my convertible and wind down the glasses and Gray got in.

His relationship with Emma was rocky.

They both enjoyed each other in bed, but that aside, Lily was more attracted to girls and definitely not the kinda girl who really wanted Gray, who was really emotional, cause she was just a girl who wanted to have fun.

Gray and I began to hang out more. We did almost everything together, cause he too was eyeing the modeling industry

"What do you think our boy Chase is really up to?" He asked as he got in.

"No boy of mine would be chasing a fat bitch dressed like a girl around." I replied, angry.

"We all know that's the part that gets to you the most." Gray replied

I hated how he saw through me. I couldn't be bothered if Chase wanted an extra pair of vertical lips, what hurt is that it was…her.

"Whatever." I replied, overtaking Emma and Lily.

Till that point, Gray still felt uneasy whenever he was near Lily and I simultaneously.

Our threesome ended so abruptly and awkwardly. He wasn't able to look me in the face for days after. But those were all before Chase's stupid little motor accident. Pussy couldn't even handle his alcohol. Or at least that was what I thought before Lily told me that it was Emma who broke him. Gray was so pissed that anytime he went by their house to see Chase, he always deliberately snubbed her even though she was Chase's primary caregiver.

"He's back in school now." He said again.

That was a lot true. I even saw him approach Mr Rudd earlier. I was glad to have him back, but still angry to see that he was stuck on the same silly little nitwit.

"That's his business." I replied, faking nonchalance. "And that of anyone who wants it to be." I felt the vein in my neck stand, and I knew I was just two words away from choking on my lie, so I kept it brief.

"We both know you fit somewhere in that category." Gray teased, revealing a handsome set of teeth.

"How's home?" I asked, changing the subject. It was one thing I knew Gray never liked to talk about, and my bitchy self never failed to bring it up everytime he talked about something I didn't fancy.

"Fine," he said. I was somewhat surprised to not have heard a strain in his voice. "Matter of fact, I meet new people." He added.

Whenever I asked of home, Gray knew I talked about his mom. He ever really considered his dad's estate in County to be home anyway.

"That's great." I replied, faking a smile. "What are their names?" I asked.

"Don't bother about that." He said laughing. Gray knew I was the best stalker on social media yet.

I just needed a name and a location and I could fish out the devil himself.

"You wanna hide your friends?" I whined. "Why?" Grayson white teeth were sending all the light into my eyes.

He knew the game I was playing, and apparently found it very amusing.

"You don't worry about that." He patted my bare shoulder. I had long taken off my uniform. Gray was used to seeing me in a bra, same with every other person plying the route to my house. "All you need to know is that I've kinda hit the jackpot." I looked at him, for clues in his face or something. Jackpot to me at that time meant a lot of things.
