Chapter 16 - Testing Potential (2)

...

However, when a sensation of disappointment began to appear in his mind, a normal reaction for a person with high expectations...

A fourth pebble, half of the size of a normal pebble, slowly formed inside the gleaming ball—releasing a radiance that momentarily shrouded the room, instantly plunging its enclosed space with dreamy lights before reverting to normal.

HAHAHA!

"My talent actually increased to High Grade. Although barely, the 4th pebble was still visible!

"Great! I knew that I was destined to become immortal!"

Although the size of the pebble was too small, a sign that he only barely reached the qualification to have high-grade potential, Araw still felt delighted, to the point that his body seemed to lighten considerably.

The regrets he had upon not choosing the second option back then suddenly vanished within his mind... Making his thoughts quite lighter as he couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.

"Given my current potential, achieving the Core Solidification realm should be possible. The only thing that matters is the time it would take me to reach the said realm."

Retracting his palm from the surface of the gleaming stone, Araw hurriedly went back to his training, wanting to solidify his current realm and ready himself for his inevitable advancement.

Although it wasn't necessary since his body only needed to adapt for quite some time from the changes it took upon advancing to the 10th stage of the body tempering realm, Araw was already used to spending most of his time cultivating.

If he doesn't cultivate 12 hours a day, he will feel uncomfortable, a sensation that if possible he doesn't want to experience.

...

Soon, without any accident, a week silently passed by.

Within a specific room, where only the soft cushion was the only worth item mentioning, Araw, with eyes closed, could be seen sitting with crossed legs on the ground, releasing a faint fog through his nostrils as he took a deep breath, calming his mind to reach his peak state as he began following the instruction of his cultivation manual.

Due to the few days of carefully studying the cultivation manual he brought from the system, Araw's knowledge regarding it could be said to be passable... If not already mastered it.

Huff-

Calming his emotion down, Araw began to sense the spiritual qi present within the atmosphere—spreading his elevated senses wide as he began to faintly sense a small thread of transparent qi gliding around him.

Swish~

In an instant, feeling delighted, Araw immediately attempted to draw the threads of spiritual qi toward his body... However, unfortunately, before he could touch them with his senses, the incorporeal spiritual qi, drifting within the atmosphere with gracefulness, suddenly bent to the extreme, escaping his grasp in the blink of an eye before vanishing within his senses.

"Indeed, it was not that easy to step into the Qi Condensation realm."

Sighing within himself, Araw immediately focused his mind. Breathing rhythmically before focusing his whole senses on sensing the spiritual qi around him.

If he wanted to successfully reach the 1st stage of the qi condensation realm, Araw would need to store 10 threads of spiritual qi within his physique—circulating them into his veins in order to strengthen his body and make his body used to the presence of spiritual qi before storing them into his dantian...

Something that couldn't be achieved in a short period of time.

Fortunately, with the existence of the world seed, a place with abundant spiritual qi, his advancement to the 1st stage of the qi condensation realm is only a matter of time... At least he would achieve the said realm in a few days, and a week at most!

Reviewing the Five Elements Circulation inside his mind, Araw then again focused his senses, taking a long, deep breath as he began sensing the transparent spiritual qi within the atmosphere.

Soon, time slowly flew by...

Araw, with his eyes still closed, started to sense several threads of spiritual qi floating around him, brushing through his physique alluringly... Yet, not a single one of them entered his body.

However, noticeably, compared to hours ago, the incorporeal spiritual qi gliding within the atmosphere becomes more vivid under Araw's elevated senses.

Although faint, their true colors already started to show, allowing Araw to faintly sense their elements if he focused his mind.

"Most of the qi present within the atmosphere came from the wind elements, while there are some threads of spiritual qi that came from earth and water.

"As for the metal and fire qi... I hadn't seen any of them yet."

Sensing countless green threads flowing within the atmosphere, with the occasion appearance of blue and brown threads—forming a spectacle show—Araw couldn't help but become enthralled, distracting him from his original goal as he began admiring the beauty of the spiritual qi.

Silently watching them formed a flow within the air, passing through solid objects akin to specters while slightly pondering how he could attract them to his body.

"It's a pity that there's no metal and fire qi around... I wonder what it would look like if the five qi were all present in the atmosphere.

"Furthermore, their true beauty would only unfold if I could completely discern their true colors."

Sighing deep within himself, knowing that he was again distracted by his thoughts, Araw unhurriedly stood up, patting off the dust he accumulated from long hours of sitting before exiting the room.

Although he wanted to continue cultivating till he stepped into the realm of qi condensation, his rumbling stomach prevented his thoughts from fully focusing, causing his mind to often wander around.

Without achieving a specific realm, his body would still need the sustenance of food from time to time.

"Sigh. Unfortunately, the spiritual fruits I was growing still haven't ripened. With the spiritual qi they contained, it would be much easier for me to step into the qi condensation realm.

"As for the beasts... They still need time to mature. A year was simply short for them."
