"Where's the watch?" Qin Wanshu reached out and hugged Zuo Qinghuan's waist back, pulling her closer.
"I put it away in my bag. I didn't want him to see it," Zuo Qinghuan replied, not wanting to put Qin Wanshu in a difficult position.
"It's okay; I'm here." Qin Wanshu said gently but seriously, taking the watch out of Zuo Qinghuan's bag and putting it back on her wrist, which conveniently covered most of the bruise.
For some reason, when Zuo Qinghuan heard those words, she felt an inexplicable sense of peace. There was a strength in Qin Wanshu, gentle yet firm, making her feel secure and dependable.
"Let's go out." Qin Wanshu said softly to Zuo Qinghuan. She was also afraid someone might come in at any moment and it wasn't suitable to stay too long.
"Okay." Zuo Qinghuan nodded. She was curious about Han Shibin's expression when he saw her and Qin Wanshu together, as well as Qin Wanshu's reaction afterward. Qin Wanshu seemed completely calm, but Zuo Qinghuan felt that Qin Wanshu wasn't as composed as she appeared; she couldn't tell if it was just her imagination.
