When Charles arrived at his destination, he paid for the ride before proceeding to make his way inside his apartment where he took a warm bath, got dressed and headed straight to Gyapm Corporation.
While Charles was hastening his steps towards his workplace, his thoughts kept railing about the event that occurred the previous night.
'Why did I even go to a gay clubhouse?' He probed within himself as he quickened his speed.
Eight minutes later, he arrived at the entrance of Gyapm Corporation.
Charles stood still, taking in a deep breath before proceeding to make his way inside the building.
Upon arriving at the place where his fellow workers were all gathered, Charles began to feel so uncomfortable.
His fellow colleagues couldn't help but turn their heads, their piercing stares full of judgment and suspicion.
Every pair of eyes was fixed on him, their brows raised in silent examination. "Did… did I do something?" Charles stuttered, staring at the head staff of the cleaning unit with a questionable gaze.
She sighs, slowly walking up to Charles. "I have received a call earlier from the CEO, mister Augustine. He has specifically requested that you take charge of cleaning his personal office for the next three months."
"Why!" Charles yelled, surprised that Augustine had planned on making his life miserable.
The head staff placed a comforting hand on Charles' shoulder, a gesture meant to ease his anxiety. "An hour ago, our CEO asked to see the records of all the cleaners," she began, her tone gentle and reassuring. "When he realized you didn't show up for work yesterday, he decided that your punishment would be to clean his office for the next three months."
Charles felt like screaming at the top of his lungs but he knew that Augustine was doing all this on purpose.
With a sigh, Charles nonchalantly agreed to the cruel punishment that had been rendered to him.
He cleaned the office of Augustine and when he had accomplished his task for the day, he cloak out of the office before making his way back to his apartment.
Charles slept fitfully for five hours before his alarm roused him from his uneasy slumber.
With a grim determination, he began packing his belongings into his traveling box, his movements quick and efficient.
When he was finished, he hailed a cab to take him to Augustine's apartment.
When arrived at the mansion, the sitting room door was locked, and just as Charles reached for the bell, he felt a prickle of trepidation.
Suddenly, the doors opened with a faint creak, and there stood Augustine, his enigmatic presence radiating power and authority.
Augustine sighed, turning around as he made his way towards the sitting room couch where he took his seat.
Charles exhaled, ignoring Augustine who all of sudden became focused on the laptop that he had placed above his legs.
Charles moved wordlessly into the bedroom, where the faint scent of Augustine's cologne lingered in the air.
Silently, he began to rearrange his clothes, carefully shifting Augustine clothes to create a space for his own meager possessions.
One by one, Charles hung his clothes in the designated space.
As he finished emptying his box, he donned a gray jogger and a black hoodie, wearing the clothes with his movements brisk and efficient, before making his way back to the sitting room.
"Augustine, it's past five o'clock," Charles began, his words measured and controlled. "I believe we're scheduled to visit your parents this evening, are we still going?" Charles inquired because he wanted to pay a visit to Augustine's parents as soon as possible so that he would get over the first phase of the contract.
'Sigh!'
Augustine let out a sigh as he turned his gaze around, observing the outfit of Charles. "Ar… are you going to visit my parents with this type of clothes?" He inquired, tilting his brows upwards.
Charles nodded, but his eyes flickered down to his clothing, searching for any indication of disapproval. "Is it bad?" He asked, averting his gaze back to Augustine. "Since the contract entails that I please your parents, I won't mind changing into what you prefer that would seem suitable in their eyes," Charles added.
Augustine stood up from his chair and walked towards Charles. He was stressed and wanted to talk to Charles about something.
As he stood some inches away, he drew his tongue out of his mouth before moistening his lips as he leaned towards Charles neck.
As Augustine leaned in close, Charles felt the warmth of Augustine breath against his neck, sending a shiver down his spine. "You look so cute in whatever you wear, sweetheart." Augustine purred, his hot breath caressing Charles's sensitive skin.
Charles scoffed, and this time around, he did something that warned Augustine to stop calling him with such a romantic name.
