Chapter 25 - chapter 25,lily

Lith stretched out his hand and grabbed the girl's head. The girl, sensing something was wrong, tried to free herself. But how could she, already so weak and tired, be a match for Lith?

Soon, Lith extracted all the information he needed. A mocking smile appeared on his lips as he looked at her. With the knowledge he now had, he knew he could easily win her loyalty.

He spoke to the girl:

"I promise you, if you become my servant, I will find your mother, restore your face, and help you get your revenge."

She remained silent for a long time. Just as Lith was about to ask again, she replied:

"If you can bring my mother back, I will become your servant. I don't need anything else."

Saying this, she knelt down.

At that moment, Sofia and Anna came over to ask Lith if he wanted to make a purchase, but they were surprised to see a slave kneeling before him.

Anna: "Do you want to buy her?"

Lith: "Yes. She will be very useful in the future."

Just then, the merchant came over. When he realized that this esteemed guest wanted to buy what he considered worthless, he became anxious. After all, the slave was cheap. He hurriedly said:

"Dear guest, I think you should buy another. This slave is a traitor to the Alliance. She even killed her own father. You should choose another—there are many slaves here."

Hearing the merchant's words, the girl's eyes dimmed slightly. She gave herself a mocking smile. Her fate, she thought, was to become food for the beasts. But then she heard Lith's voice again, which surprised her.

Lith: "Hmm, she is quite kind. If I were in her place, I would have tortured that father before killing him. As for the Alliance—who cares about them?"

The merchant was left speechless.

Anna: "We'll take her."

With that, Anna handed over the money. The merchant reluctantly gave the girl the slave seal, and everyone left the shop. Everyone, except Anna and Sofia, stared at Lith strangely. Tom wondered if Lith had some peculiar tastes. Song Lin wanted to ask why he bought her, but Lith gestured for her to keep quiet, so she changed the subject.

Song Lin: "So, where are we going now?"

Lith: "Let's head to the inn. I'm tired."

Obviously, Lith wasn't really tired, but no one corrected him. Soon, everyone returned to the inn. As they entered, all eyes were on the dirty slave following Lith and the others. The other guests frowned, but the inn staff ignored them. Although they were nobles and powerful people, they were nothing compared to Lith and his group. Tom chose to stay in a high-class room. The city lord bid everyone farewell and was about to leave the inn when Lith stopped him.

Lith: "City Lord Jack, can you come by tomorrow? I have something to discuss with you."

Though Jack didn't know what Lith wanted to talk about, he decided to comply.

Jack: "No problem."

Lith nodded, and soon he and the girls returned to Lith's room. As soon as they entered, Anna spoke.

Anna: "Now that no one's around, explain yourself."

Only then did Song Lin realize that Lith hadn't wanted to speak in front of Tom or Jack.

Lith: "First of all, she's not a criminal. She was framed by her fiancé."

Hearing this, both Song Lin and Anna narrowed their eyes. Even Sofia, who hadn't been interested before, now looked at Lith, curious to know more. Even the girl herself was shocked, wondering how he knew all this.

Lith continued: "Her name is Lily. She was originally from a small branch of the Silverheart family. She was a prodigy, excellent in everything. Her talent for commanding in war was unmatched in the entire Alliance. Because of this, the head of the Silverheart family wanted to marry her to his youngest son. Everyone was excited—except the youngest son, James. He loved her younger sister, who happened to be a cultist, worshiping the Dark God, Lord of Power. One day, while performing a ritual in her home, the younger sister lost control. She became possessed by the power of the Dark God, killing their father and scarring Lily's face. Lily lost consciousness while trying to stop her sister. When the younger sister regained her senses, she was terrified and called James. Although James knew it was his lover, Lily's sister, who had caused the catastrophe, he decided to frame Lily and her mother to protect his beloved. Lily was labeled a traitor, and her mother went missing. I bought her because I need her to lead my army. I'm not good at commanding troops, and I know I need to learn slowly. She's the perfect candidate."

Everyone was shocked by Lith's words. They looked at Lily with sympathy.

Meanwhile, both Anna and Sofia's faces darkened. Everyone knew that due to exceptional talent, the youngest son of the Silverheart family and his fiancée had been admitted to the Star Academy early and were set to join the academy in five years.

If what Lith said was true, it would be the greatest scandal the Star Academy and the Alliance had ever faced. If word spread that a cultist had been admitted to the academy, then the academy would become a laughingstock.

If it was true, sofia vowed, she would personally skin those two and hang them at the academy's gates.

Anna asked again: "Lith, is what you said true?"

Lith: "Is there any reason for me to lie to you?"

Sofia nodded. Lith had no reason to lie.

She then pulled out a communication device and called Vice Principal Robert.

Robert: "Principal, why did you call me? Do you need anything?"

Sofia explained the entire situation to him and added: "Make sure to investigate this discreetly."

Robert nodded, and Sofia ended the call. She felt a bit calmer now. Looking at Lily, she felt sorry for her.

At that moment, Lith thought of an item he'd seen at the shop. It was a mirror that could read a person's memories and show them to others. It was called the Soul Mirror. Lith immediately purchased it.

When he took out the mirror, everyone looked at him strangely. Sensing their confusion, Lith quickly explained.

"This is a Soul Mirror. When someone places their hand on it, it will show their memories. This way, you can see Lily's memories, and don't worry—it won't harm her soul at all. It's completely safe."

Everyone was surprised to hear this. They looked at the mirror as if it were a priceless treasure.

Lith asked Lily to place her hand on it. She did as instructed, and the mirror's surface rippled like water.

Soon, images appeared, showing the events of that fateful day. Everyone saw the truth with their own eyes.
