Chapter 297 - Chapter 297

Kasamo moved with astonishing speed. A taijutsu specialist by nature, his Lightning Release Chakra Mode greatly amplified his physical attributes, making his speed nearly superhuman.

"So fast!"

Many of the observing ninjas exclaimed, awestruck by Kasamo's velocity.

However, Nawaki remained unshaken. As Kasamo's fist approached, Nawaki calmly raised his hand, catching the punch effortlessly before it could make contact.

Kasamo's eyes widened in shock, but instead of retreating, his excitement grew. He immediately lifted his leg to deliver a powerful kick.

Nawaki released Kasamo's fist and leaned back to evade the kick with fluid grace. As he dodged, Nawaki countered with his own kick, sending Kasamo stumbling backward.

"This is the power you're so confident of? How pitiful," Nawaki said with a calm yet mocking tone, his words causing Kasamo's eyes to narrow coldly.

Without a word, Kasamo launched another attack.

This time, the two engaged in a full-on taijutsu battle. Kasamo's aggressive style and rapid attacks were like a relentless storm, overwhelming in their ferocity.

But Nawaki met every strike with ease, his movements smooth and unhurried, leaving Kasamo unable to land a single hit.

Unbeknownst to the spectators, Nawaki's attacks were enhanced by his super strength.

Though he avoided collateral damage, each of his punches carried immense power. Kasamo, however, felt it keenly, his arms were slowly becoming numb under the relentless barrage.

Before long, Nawaki spotted an opening and unleashed a devastating punch, infused with his super strength.

The blow sent Kasamo flying backward, slamming into the canyon wall with a loud thud.

Kasamo forced himself to his feet despite the searing pain, staring at Nawaki in disbelief. Even under the amplification of the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, his speed, strength, and reflexes were completely outclassed.

Is this even possible? Kasamo thought, his mind racing.

He had always been considered Jonin-level, even nearing the threshold of an Elite Jonin. Yet this boy from Konoha was operating on a level far beyond his own.

The watching ninjas were equally stunned. They knew Kasamo was one of the strongest in their faction, but they hadn't expected Nawaki to utterly dominate him.

Do these people even need to take the Chunin Exams? someone thought, overwhelmed by the absurdity of it all.

"How disappointing. You're even weaker than I imagined," Nawaki remarked casually, his calm demeanor sending another ripple of shock through the crowd.

Kasamo's eyes burned with rage. He raised his hand, channeling Storm Release chakra.

Dark lightning, laced with silver streaks, arced toward Nawaki in a crooked yet deadly trajectory.

At first, Nawaki didn't move. As the lightning closed in, he abruptly dashed forward, his speed surpassing even Kasamo's earlier display.

"Looking to die?" Kasamo snarled, weaving seals to summon a wide net of lightning that spread across the battlefield, leaving no room for escape.

He'll have to use a jutsu to counter this. That's when I'll strike with a finishing blow, Kasamo thought, preparing one of his clan's secret techniques.

Yet Nawaki didn't follow the expected pattern.

Instead of evading or countering, he charged directly into the lightning net, allowing it to wrap around him.

The spectators gasped in disbelief.

What's he thinking?!

Kasamo was equally stunned. While most ninjas would avoid direct contact with lightning, Nawaki broke through the net with sheer speed and endurance. Though his body faltered momentarily under the voltage, he shrugged it off as if it were nothing.

Before Kasamo could recover, Nawaki was already upon him.

With a quick shift, Nawaki's punch turned into a claw-like grip, seizing Kasamo's arm with crushing force. This technique wasn't anything formal, it was a maneuver he'd picked up from Hui during their sparring sessions.

Nawaki didn't need sealing techniques; his super strength was enough. With a sharp yank, he wrenched Kasamo toward him, leaving the latter completely vulnerable.

Then, Nawaki delivered a brutal punch to Kasamo's chest, sending him flying once more. Kasamo's body struck the ground heavily, blood spurting from his mouth.

"Bang!"

The impact was deafening, and the force broke two of Kasamo's ribs despite his enhanced physical state.

"Unbelievable…" someone muttered, staring at Nawaki with wide eyes.

Nawaki, however, remained composed. Glancing at Kasamo, he said, "Lightning Release Chakra Mode? Storm Release? This is all you've got?"

The disdain in his voice was unmistakable, and it stung Kasamo deeply.

If it were anyone else, Nawaki might not have been so harsh. But Kasamo's predatory behavior toward both Nawaki and Konan had been malicious from the start.

The Nine-Tails inside Nawaki had warned him, that this man intended to kill them.

Nawaki wouldn't let such a threat slide.

"So pathetic. Is this the best the strongest Genin from Kumogakure can do? Your village is a joke," Nawaki taunted further, pushing Kasamo to the edge.

Kasamo's body trembled as rage consumed him. He struggled to his feet, his eyes blazing with madness.

"Die!" Kasamo roared. His body erupted in black-and-white lightning as he activated the Storm Release Chakra Mode, an even more dangerous version of his previous state.

This mode offered incredible power but came at a steep cost, causing severe strain on the user's body.

Normally, Kasamo wouldn't risk using it. But now, he was beyond reason.

Nawaki, however, smirked. He had already analyzed Kasamo's movements and spotted his weaknesses.

As Kasamo charged like a meteor, leaving a trail of black-and-white lightning, Nawaki moved.

In a blur of motion, Nawaki's fist connected with Kasamo, sending him flying yet again.

But this time, Nawaki didn't stop. He followed up instantly, a Rasengan forming in his hand.

"Rasengan!"

With a sharp battle cry, Nawaki slammed the Rasengan into Kasamo's chest, driving him into the canyon wall.

"Boom!"

The explosion sent dust and debris flying, obscuring the area.

When the dust settled, Kasamo's battered body lay motionless.

Nawaki stood tall, gazing down at his defeated opponent. "Storm Release Chakra Mode? Just another disappointment," he said, his voice calm but cold.

The crowd remained silent, too stunned to react. Kasamo, the strongest Genin from Kumogakure, had been thoroughly defeated.
