Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Aiko and Shinji drove through the bustling streets of Tokyo, the city alive with energy and motion. Skyscrapers loomed overhead, their glass façades reflecting the vibrant colors of billboards and neon lights. As they approached a luxurious boutique, Shinji's eyes widened in awe.

The boutique was an impressive structure, its exterior adorned with intricate architectural details and a grand entrance framed by large glass doors. A gold sign above the door shimmered in the afternoon sun, boasting the name of the designer brand. Inside, the ambiance was both inviting and sophisticated, with soft lighting illuminating the plush displays of high-end fashion. The air was filled with the subtle scent of luxury perfumes, creating an atmosphere of elegance.

"Whoa, this place is so big! Look at all these designer brands!" Shinji exclaimed, his face lighting up with excitement. He had never seen anything like it before, and the sheer opulence was overwhelming.

Aiko led Shinji through the boutique, guiding him to the section filled with suits and shoes. The racks were lined with finely tailored garments, each exuding an air of refinement. Shinji felt a mix of nervousness and anticipation as he realized he was about to transform his appearance completely.

"Um, Shinji, choose the suit you like best," Aiko encouraged, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

As Shinji browsed through the selection, his fingers brushed against the smooth fabric of a stunning Armani tailored double-breasted black suit. Next to it, he spotted a pair of neat black Prada shoes. "I'll take this one," he said, holding up the suit with a proud smile.

Aiko raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "I don't like the color; it's too plain and too common."

Shinji chuckled, feeling slightly deflated but determined to impress her. They spent hours trying on different outfits, but eventually, Aiko conceded. "Fine, I guess the black Armani suit and Prada shoes will have to do."

Once they completed their shopping, they hopped back into the taxi, excitement buzzing in the air. The drive to Aiko's family mansion, Villa Marchesa, was quick, taking only about thirty minutes. As they approached the grand estate, Shinji's heart raced at the sight of the sprawling property.

The mansion was a breathtaking sight, standing majestically amidst beautifully landscaped gardens filled with vibrant flowers and perfectly trimmed hedges. Tall trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly, creating a serene atmosphere. The exterior of Villa Marchesa was a blend of classic and modern architecture, with intricate stonework and large windows that glimmered in the sunlight.

Aiko led Shinji through the elegant front door, stepping into a vast foyer adorned with exquisite art pieces and elegant chandeliers that hung from the high ceiling. The spacious interior was a blend of contemporary design and classic elegance, with plush furniture and tasteful décor that exuded luxury.

"I'm home," Aiko announced, her voice echoing slightly in the grand entryway. No one responded, and she looked around, puzzled by the silence.

"Where is everyone?" she wondered aloud, glancing back at Shinji, who followed closely behind, his eyes wide as he took in the opulence around him.

Aiko ventured into the dining room, her heart sinking as she discovered her family gathered there for lunch. "Mum! Dad! I'm home!"

Aiko's brother, Shinichi, barely glanced at her before directing a sharp look at Shinji. "Hey, sis, who's the mf you brought home with you?" His tone was laced with disdain, a familiar rudeness that made Aiko cringe.

In contrast, her sister, Akari, observed Shinji with wide eyes, her thoughts racing. Wow, he's so good looking, she admired silently, a hint of intrigue in her gaze.

Aiko took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "Mum and Dad, this is Shinji, the man I want to marry."

Aiko's mother's expression shifted instantly, morphing into one of disgust and disbelief. "You can't be for real with what you just said!" she exclaimed, her voice dripping with disappointment.

Aiko's father remained quiet, a contemplative look on his face as he processed the situation.

"Mum, this is the man I want to marry. I've made my decision, and there's no going back. I'm an adult; you can't keep controlling me like I'm a kid!" Aiko fought to hold back tears, her voice wavering.

Aiko's father turned his attention to Shinji. "Young man, what job do you do, and where are you from?"

Shinji cleared his throat, feeling the weight of their scrutiny. "I'm a gynecologist, and my dad is a businessman in Osaka."

Aiko's father nodded slowly, the tension in the room thickening. "You have my approval, Aiko. All I care about is you marrying a responsible man."

Relief flooded through Aiko, and she rushed to her father, enveloping him in a grateful hug. "Thank you, Dad!"

Shinji bowed his head in respect, still processing the whirlwind of emotions. Aiko's mother, however, simmered with anger, her lips pressed tightly together as she glared at the two of them. She wanted to voice her disapproval but felt powerless against her husband's decision.

As the evening wore on, Aiko took Shinji around the house, introducing him to her other siblings and showing him the lavishly decorated rooms filled with family heirlooms and memories.

Later that night, Aiko's mother convened with Shinichi and Akari in her room upstairs, her face twisted with frustration. "I dislike that your sister disrespected me by bringing another man home when she already knows I have a man for her to marry."

Shinichi crossed his arms, nodding in agreement. "I agree with you, Mom. What sis did is completely wrong and the height of insolence."

Akari chimed in, her brow furrowed. "But Dad has given his approval. What do you plan on doing?"

Aiko's mother leaned in, her eyes gleaming with malice. "We'll make his life a living hell until he leaves this house." A sinister smile crept across her face as she plotted.

Shinichi grinned, excitement in his voice. "Okayyyy, this sounds interesting."

"I'm in," Akari added, her expression mischievous.
