Chapter 4 - HARMLESS Blueprints

"P-please, I'll never betray the company again!" A man strapped to a table screamed,"I promise!"

"Alexander, the company appreciates your...efforts, however I fail to see your end goal?" Looking at the traitor on the table, Stan felt no remorse as he watched Alex gouge his eyes out.

"Ahhhr!" The creaming echoed while Alex responded with an all white mask with an eerily smiling visage adorning it.

"You'll see chairman, Vought will have a new business venture by the time I'm done." Blood splattered onto the smiling mask as white hair fell over it's forehead slightly.

After both eyes were removed and thrown into the trash bin in the corner, Black and white lightning enveloped the room like a storm. Alex appeared to glitch in his position.

Once the lightning stopped, the man now wore a pair of cybernetic eyes.

Infact, despite only 10 seconds passing in Stans eyes Alex had managed to complete a two hour operation that only the highest professionals in both mechanics and in the medical field could accomplish.

"Mr Louis, can you tell me how you feel? Can you see?" Alex questioned as Louis's new eyes flashed with brown electronic light.

"Of course not you mania....WAIT, I CAN SEE AGAIN!" To say Louis was relieved was an understatement as he looked around while avoiding looking at the smiling mask directly. He swore in his heart never to speak out against the company again!

"Congratulations Mr Louis, I hope your new sight will bring you joy in your short life." Congrating the man, Alex reached to his waist

"Y-yes t-thank you, I'll f-forget everything that happ-"

BANG!

"Indeed, you will forget," Alex holstered his pistol and turned back to Edgar who had a wide smile.

"Ahem...as you can see chairman, my newly designed cybernetics can provide a perfect cure to blindness and can even enhance the users perception if upgraded for combat use." Pausing as the guards removed the body, Alex waited before continuing,"I've never understood why Vought only sought dominance in the pharmaceutical field, however with this we can ensure absolute supremacy in the cybernetics industry aswell."

Edgar's smile widened more,"Ohh... I'm sure we could, the board of directors will be pleased with this." Edgar took a look at the blueprints of the machinery and operation in his hand," After you complete the advertising scenes, you will be awarded 30% of the revenue from you creation aswell as any recourses you require for you next project."

Edgar didn't want to waste time and prepared to leave, "Do you have a name in mind for your invention?" He asked just before walking out.

"Yes, I'll call it the Series V-Optica."

Alex responded.

"Very well, you'll have to watch the news to see it's debut." Finishing his words Edgar finally left.

A short time later...

Alex lay in his bed as he thought about his life so far.

It had been seven years since his incident with John and his 10th birthday had just past. During this time his abilities had grew exponentially to the point where he could contend with the fastest speedsters without that much effort. Although he did face some experiments like outrunning explosions and doging bullets, it was nothing he couldn't handle.

John had also grew to be much more violent this time around, having killed multiple caretakers and breaking through walls to visit him.

"Guess it's time." Alex switched on the news where a Vought advertisment begun playing.

"Have you or your family ever suffered blindness, maybe an injury left your family member without their sight or perhaps a disease struck without warning?" The beautiful female actor asked a rhetorical question with videos that displayed victims of blindness behind her to garner sympathy.

"Well, one of our very special reaserchers at Vought is here to save the day with the all new..." The actor paused as an image of a sybernetic eye appeared behind her, "V OPTICA!"

"Humanity can forever forget the Scourge of blindness with this new cybernetic implant that perfectly replicates our original eyesight and even allows for colour filtered to make you day a little more colourful!"

The video behind her displayed a happy family the father having an electric light shining In their eyes.

Alex snickered as his part was about to begin.

"And of course we have to credit our little angel who designed this lifesaver..." She paused again for dramatic effect," Our very own genius, ALEXANDER!"

as she announced this the video playing behind her switched to a young white haird boy comforting a homeless blind man with a determined expression on his face. It then shifted to him tirelessly reading through endless books and drawings of designs before again switching to the boy with tears in his eyes while holding a finished V-optica in his hands.

"Alexander worked through sweat and tears to save Humanities sight permanently, and we all owe our thanks to him."

The video stopped as displays of costs and operational fees played in the background.

Alex switched off his television while trying hard to hold back his laughter ,"I don't think they'd be so positive if they'd seen half of the shit I have designed hahaha!"

Pulling open his draw, he pulled out a few blueprints.

One showed a spine like implant he had seen in cyberpunk 2077, the Sandevastan now renamed the Series V-Sandevastan.

Another showed a rifle design or more like a mobile rail gun. It fired projectiles using magnetism, resulting in a weapon that completely outclassed conventional armaments. It's name was the Series-V AER

(Anti-Everything-Rifle).

The last blueprint he pulled out was something he felt genuine affection for.

It was an unfinished design of the anti-matter bomb that had killed him,

Except more powerful.

Capable of even destroying a small country if enough Anti matter was stuffed into it.

"Anti matter bomb sounds too boring...how about the V series-Alexander Bomb"

Smiling at the new name, he put the documents back into the draw as he heard a knock at the same time.

"ALEX, YOUR ON TV YOU KNOW!" Johns excited voice came from the other side.
