A few weeks had past since the show and Vought had finished construction of the first Sandevistan prototype. Alex currently walking through the upper levels of Vought tower to visit the observation room for testing.
"Hahaha, he actually fired his lasers at a gun and killed a hostage?" Alex asked to Noir beside him.
Noir used more hand signs to talk.
"Yea, he's quite unpredictable when he gets angry," as Alex expressed his thoughts about Homelander he noticed a man in a green suit walking towards them from the other end of the hallway.
"hey Noir!" The deep waved and ran over with a smile," How was your mission with Homelander?"
Noir didn't respond and just stared at Deep.
Seeing he got no response the Deep turned to Alex with a smile,"You must be Alex right," The excitement in his voice couldn't be hidden, " I'm a big fan, some of my friends wanted to meet you."
"Ohh...and who are your friends?" Alex knew from the series that the Deep was extremely disliked.
"They live in the ocean, their always talking about your pollution filtration system that you introduced last year!"
'Is this guy talking about meeting fucking fish?" Alex's frowned as he thought.
"Maybe another day, Perhaps in a few thousand years?"
"REALLY! NOBODYS EVER AGREED TO...ohh, nevermind." The deep quickly realised what Alex had said and had genuine sadness in his eyes.
"Glad you understand," smiling Alex looked at Noir," I'm heading over to the test site, catch you later." Noir nodded and watched Alex disappear in a flurry of lightning.
In the observation room...
4 men stood Infront of a two way mirror as they watched a series of mechanical arms operate on a sedated man lying on a table from the other side of the glass.
These were the selected shareholders invited to witness the first Sandevistan prototype in action.
"I see your all here, I'm sure the wait has been killing you?" Alex said as he entered the observation room with a confident stride.
"Heh, if what we read on the Sandevistan is true then we'd wait until the world ended." A moderately overwait shareholder voiced as the other three nodded with smiles plastered on their faces.
"Excellent attitude Mr Martell, I always appreciate your support," Alex quickly praised and turned to look at the test subject on the other side of the glass.
The man was a staff member at Vought who volunteered for the trail in exchange for a promotion. He was chosen among others for his athletic physique needed for the new product.
Watching as the mechanical arms finished the operation Alex spoke again,
"As you can see, the sendavistan is a spinal Implant that allows the user to use speedster like abilities for a short duration."
Alex looked at the nodding heads of the shareholders and put his hand on the speaker connected to the subjects room.
"Samuel, are you awake?" The voice on the speaker jolted the man up.
"Who are you?!" Samuel pulled the medical equipment from his body and looked at the mirror to his back.
He was horrified to find that his entire spine had been replaced with a metal implant.
"What have you done to me!?" Samuels mind became foggy as he tried to recall how he had gotten here.
"Mr Samuel, can you tell me who you are?"
Alex's voice entered the room again.
"I am...I...," His response caught in his throat as he couldn't remember anything about his life. His mind grew increasingly erratic as he tried to piece together his identity.
"You...ITS YOUR FAULT, YOU DID THIS TO ME!"
"Samuel, I assure you it was your own choice-"
Crack!
Alex was interrupted as Samuel disappeared from his original position in a split second and struck the the two way mirror causing a crack to form across its surface.
The shareholders behind Alex recoiled In fear as they watched the man move at speeds they couldn't react to.
Alex however stood calmly as he had watched Samuel activate the Sandevistan and moved at superhuman speeds. Although it still seemed to be slow to Alex it was dangerous for any non-supe. He was slightly surprised that Samuel instinctively knew how to use the Sandevistan so Quickly after recieving it.
"Are you going to stop him!" A shareholder yield at Alex who stood calmly while their test subject tried to break out.
Whoosh!
Samuels door opened as two armed guards made their way towards him.
Samuel was currently in a rage as his sorroundings seemed distorted and wrong.
He turned away from the two way mirror and looked at the two armed guards pointing their pistols at him.
Alex watched as Samuel activated the Sandevistan and rushed towards the two men.
They didn't even have time to react when Samuel appeared behind one of them and snapped his neck before grabbing the pistol in the now dead guards hand and appearing directly in front of the other gaurd with the barrel of the gun pressed directly against their forehead.
BANG!
The last guards body dropped to the floor as blood pooled out of his forehead head.
Clap,clap,clap.
Samuel came out of his daze and noticed a tall white haird man had appeared in his room behind him.
"To be able to kill two armed men only a moment after waking undoubtedly shows wonderful potential, unfortunately the side effects are still to strong for mass production." Alex analysed while wondering how to improve the design.
Samuel however didn't care as his world slowed down again and he moved towards the now frozen Alex.
As his fist raised up and prepared to strike it suddenly stopped. Alex's hand had caught it just as it was about to strike him.
Black and white lightning arched around Alex's arm and directly into the Samuels body, frying the Sandevistan internals as well as his organs.
A short while later...
Samuels body was carried away as Alex and the shareholders gathered in a meeting room with 5 seats around a table. They were all still lightly sweating from the encounter with Samuel.
One of the shareholders flipped through pages of data showing the performance of the Sandevistan that was recorded during the short time it was operational.
"While this implant showed immense promise, I believe it ls best to delay production for the foreseeable future."
Everyone including Alex nodded at the suggestion.
"I agree, if you can show us suitable results in the future it isn't out of the question to trade it with the military." A short black haired man added.
Alex tapped on the desk as he thought about the future. His original goal was always to get more influence in national defense and the Sandevistan was his ticket to achieve this.
He stopped tapping and smiled at the chairmen, " I assure you that with more time and a better candidate for testing we'll have a successful product soon."
The chairmen nodded again. Alex had never failed to deliver on his promises before and they trusted his words more than god himself.
"Now then, I'm sure you all have other businesses to attend to so your free to leave." Ending the meeting, Alex watched the chairmen stand up before he walked them to the exit.
Despite the seemingly failed experiment, they we're all satisfied with the results as this could be the future of the company if handled correctly.
