Chu Ge was feeling idle and bored when he noticed a black vehicle approaching in the distance. As it got closer, he could clearly see that the license plate read 'YOYO🍆'. "What a weird plate name!", Chu said to himself.
The moment he saw the plate, he realized that the car belonged to someone from the Feng family. Only those with special status in the family, like Feng Lijin, the head👨🦲of the Feng family, could have such a plate number. No other family members would dare use it.
When the car passed him, the rear window rolled down slowly. The middle-aged man inside looked at him with a curious expression🤨, as if wondering why a stranger was here. It wasn't until the black vehicle disappeared from view that Chu Ge breathed a sigh of relief😮💨. For some reason, the man's calm gaze, filled with hidden calculations, made him feel an unexpected weird feeling. Under the man's stare, Chu Ge felt unnervingly uncomfortable, even though he had never been afraid of the Feng family's power.
"Why did he stare at me like that? Is he a homo 🏳️🌈 with they/them pronoun?" Chu Ge couldn't understand it. If this is true, then he's in a big trouble as homos' are coming at him. He's a straight guy. In scientific term, he's a honorable heterosexual human.
An hour later, Feng Linlin, eager to finish her makeup, hurried downstairs and saw her father sitting on the living room sofa.
"Dad, why are you home?" she asked, trying to hide her panic, worried that he might discover she was meeting a boy. She quickly reassured herself that they were just friends.
"I just came back," Feng Lijin, the head of the Feng family, responded. Normally stern and commanding, his expression softened as he looked at his daughter, full of affection 🥰. Anyone who knew Feng Lijin knew that, despite his ruthless reputation, he doted on his daughter and would do anything for her.
Noticing how carefully Feng Linlin had dressed, wearing a beautiful and refined outfit, he asked, "Where are you going? Are you staying for dinner tonight?"
Feng Lijin frowned, sensing something was off 👿. The joy in his daughter's eyes seemed unusual.
"I'm meeting a friend," she replied quickly. "I probably won't be back for dinner."
She avoided his gaze, trotting toward the door.
Feng Lijin's mind was no longer on the newspaper 😨. He crumpled it in his hands, suddenly recalling a strange young man he had seen outside an hour ago. The young man's appearance and temperament had caught his attention, and he wondered if his daughter was in love.
A sharp pain shot through his chest 😵. He didn't want his daughter to be deceived.
Unable to sit still, Feng Lijin called for Butler Wang to come immediately.
Meanwhile, Chu Ge was eagerly waiting, counting the minutes until Feng Linlin arrived.
"These three minutes are taking forever," Chu Ge muttered with a teasing look as Feng Linlin approached.
"Do I look good?" she asked, smiling shyly, hands behind her back, hoping for his approval 🫣.
"It's okay, not bad," Chu Ge replied nonchalantly. He wasn't in the mood to compliment her too much, even though her matte red lipstick and her graceful appearance caught his eye.
Feng Linlin's mood sank. She had spent so much time on her makeup, yet Chu Ge's response was so flat 😑. She decided not to try so hard next time.
"What are you doing? We're leaving," Chu Ge called from the car, seeing her standing there in a daze.
Feng Linlin quickly snapped out of it and joined him, her mood instantly lifting. She was excited and a little nervous, it was her first time shopping with a male guy.
Chu Ge drove off as Feng Linlin buckled her seatbelt, feeling a mix of emotions.
Back at the Feng family home, Feng Lijin was seething with anger after seeing his daughter get into another man's car 🤬. His calm demeanor was a mask for the fury inside.
"That fool dared to take my daughter... Let's find out more 🤬," he muttered, eyes blazing. He wasn't sure whether to interrogate Chu Ge immediately or wait.
Butler Wang, not daring to speak, watched as his boss's anger flared. He knew what Feng Lijin was capable of.
"Make sure Linlin is protected," Feng Lijin ordered, his eyes still filled with rage. He sighed, a father's worry creeping into his voice. "If Chu Ge dares hurt her, I'll make him regret it."
Wang Jing, sensing his master's concern, spoke carefully. "But sir, Chu Ge is a calculated person, ruthless in his own way. But he also can't ignore Miss Linlin's feelings."
Feng Lijin was silent for a moment. His heart softened, knowing his daughter's feelings, but he still wanted to protect her from any harm.
Meanwhile, Feng Linlin, unaware of her father's worry, sat beside Chu Ge, watching the streets go by as he drove.
"Where are we going?" she asked, glancing at him with curiosity.
"We're going to my company first. Afterward, we'll head to the mall," Chu Ge said, focused on his plans for the day. He had his own business to attend to before they could relax.
Chu Ge was excited to visit his company, something he had never experienced in his previous life. It was a new venture for him, and he was eager to see how things were going.
Li Ruhai had mentioned an opportunity to earn quick money, and Chu Ge trusted him. He didn't know much about business, but he knew that if the system trusted Li Ruhai, he could too.
As they arrived at the company, Feng Linlin couldn't help but wonder what kind of introduction Chu Ge would give to his employees. She was nervous, not knowing what to expect.
The company rented an entire floor in a commercial building, still with plenty of vacant space. The front desk greeted them with a professional smile, and a polite receptionist asked if they needed help.
Chu Ge was a little disappointed by the lack of excitement. He had hoped for a more dramatic scene, but the company's front desk service was impeccable.
Just as he was about to speak, he saw Li Ruhai approaching with a wide grin.
"Boss, we made a lot of money!" Li Ruhai said, excitedly. "A full 1 billion!"
Chu Ge couldn't hide his surprise, realizing just how much potential this venture had.
