Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

"Isn't he just a bodyguard? And how could he have a fortune of a billion?" Feng Linlin thought, her emotions swirling between confusion and delight. If Chu Ge kept improving himself, perhaps her father would eventually approve of him. She had recently learned from Uncle Wang that Chu Ge wasn't just being supported by Liu Yanru. Instead, the money she transferred to him seemed more like a reward, likely for resolving the Zhao Lingyun incident, than a gift.

Linlin couldn't help but imagine what his future might hold.

When Chu Ge and Feng Linlin entered the company, Li Lanyin introduced him to the team. "This is our boss," he announced.

The dozen or so employees quickly stood up, looking at Chu Ge with a mix of awe and nervousness. They hadn't met him before, but they knew the company had just pulled off something monumental. Under Li Lanyin's leadership, they entered the international stock market and emerged victorious, turning million into a staggering billion. Their strategic retreat had baffled giants, who had assumed greed would keep them playing. Back in the office, the team could hardly believe the scale of their success. They were part of a company that had earned a billion in just a few days, and now they were meeting their young boss for the first time.

Chu Ge, slightly overwhelmed, gestured for everyone to sit. "Please. Sit down."

Once everyone was seated, Chu Ge turned to Li Hairu and said, "Make sure to distribute the bonuses as per industry standards, double the usual amount."

The employees couldn't hide their excitement, sneaking glances at Li Lanyin to confirm the announcement. They knew the bonus depended entirely on Chu Ge's generosity, and now that he had approved it, they were ecstatic.

"Boss, you have my word. The bonuses will be issued immediately," Li Lanyin assured him.

Chu Ge nodded. "Go handle this now," he instructed.

"Right away, boss," she replied, adjusting her gold-rimmed glasses before heading to the finance department. Her professionalism didn't go unnoticed, but neither did her striking appearance. Feng Linlin, watching the interaction, felt an unspoken tension.

"Thank you, boss! You're amazing!" The employees cheered as news of the bonus spread. For most of them, the double bonus meant a life-changing amount, and their appreciation for Chu Ge deepened.

Apex Venture, still in its infancy, had surpassed all expectations. What started as a job some of them took with resignation had transformed into a promising venture. The employees couldn't help but feel hopeful for the company's future and motivated to contribute more.

Chu Ge, ever modest, simply said, "Work hard, and the company will take care of you." With that, he let Li Lanyin lead him to the chairman's office.

"Tell me, how did we pull this off?" Chu Ge asked as soon as they were alone, glancing at Feng Linlin, who had followed them.

Knowing Chu Ge preferred direct answers, Li Lanyin explained, "The oil market has been volatile due to unrest in oil-producing countries. Scarcity drove prices up, and those foreign capitalists became greedier. We capitalized on their overconfidence, timing our moves perfectly."

Chu Ge listened attentively, satisfied that the explanation was simple yet insightful. His team's brilliance made him realize he didn't need to understand every technical detail to trust their strategy.
