"They want to enroll a spy from a neighboring kingdom into the academy," said one of Wisebel's underlings.
Wisebel smirked. "Ah, an intriguing proposal. Having connections in the neighboring kingdom wouldn't hurt."
"Shall I send them a confirmation?"
"Do so. For the sponsorship, let's use Baron Mime—his title's meaningless, and his purse is empty. As long as he gets paid, he'll do anything. Have the underground handle the details and make sure the royal family doesn't catch wind of this."
"Yes, sir."
Unfortunately for Wisebel, I knew everything already. With a wry smile, I strolled into the royal chambers.
"You again? Ever heard of using proper procedures?" the king sighed.
"Procedures are overrated. Anyway, Baron Mime is about to help a spy infiltrate the academy."
