Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Tried to kill me

"I haven't even done a quarter of the things you did in the past," Liam continued, his voice cold and detached. "And you're already here, looking like your whole world is crashing down."

Liam's eyes seemed to bore into Sofia's soul, his gaze piercing. "You're so predictable, Sofia," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "You always were. And that's what makes you so... entertaining."

Sofia's teeth gritted together in anger as she looked at Liam, her eyes blazing with fury. She saw him for what he was - a cold, calculating demon who took pleasure in her pain.

Her gaze locked onto Liam's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other, the air thick with tension. Sofia's chest heaved with anger, her breath coming in short, sharp gasps.

Liam's expression remained calm, his eyes glinting with a cold, mirthless light. He seemed to be enjoying Sofia's anger, feeding off her emotions like a parasite.

Sofia's anger boiled over, and she took a step forward, her fists clenched at her sides. "You're a monster," she spat, her voice venomous. "A cold, heartless monster."

Liam's smile was like a slap in the face, his words dripping with venom. "That's what you made me to be," he said, his voice indifferent, but his eyes flashing with anger. "Cold and heartless, just like you."

Sofia's eyes widened in shock, her face pale. She felt like she had been punched in the gut, Liam's words taking her breath away.

For a moment, they just stared at each other, the air thick with tension. Then, Sofia's face twisted in a mixture of anger and hurt, her eyes flashing with tears.

"How dare you," Sofia whispered, her voice trembling with rage. "You have no right to say that to me."

Liam's eyes seemed to burn with intensity as he stepped closer to Sofia, his voice low and menacing. "I have every right," he repeated, his words dripping with conviction.

Sofia's eyes flashed with fear as Liam's face loomed closer to hers, his breath whispering against her skin. She tried to step back, but her legs felt like lead, refusing to move.

Liam's gaze seemed to bore into Sofia's soul, his eyes searching for something. "You made me this way," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "You broke me, Sofia. And now, you're going to have to deal with the consequences."

Sofia's teeth gritted together in a warning, her eyes flashing with a fierce intensity. "Step back," she spat, her voice low and menacing. "Don't come any closer to me."

Liam's eyes seemed to gleam with amusement at Sofia's warning, but he didn't back down. Instead, he took another step closer, his eyes locked onto Sofia's.

"You're afraid of me," Liam said, his voice low and husky. "You're afraid of what I might do to you."

Sofia's eyes flashed with anger, but she didn't deny Liam's words. Instead, she stood her ground, her fists clenched at her sides. "I'm warning you, Liam," she repeated. "Step back."

Sofia's eyes flashed with desperation as Liam ignored her warnings and continued to walk closer to her. In a swift motion, she grabbed a nearby vase and hurled it towards Liam.

The vase soared through the air, its trajectory aimed straight at Liam's head. Liam's eyes widened in surprise, but he didn't flinch. Instead, he raised his hand, and with a swift motion, he caught the vase mere inches from his face.

Liam's eyes locked onto Sofia's, a mixture of anger and amusement dancing in their depths. "You're going to have to do better than that," he said, his voice low and husky, as he took another step closer to Sofia.

Sofia's eyes flashed with determination as she grabbed another nearby object, a small decorative box. She hurled it towards Liam with a fierce cry, her arm swinging wildly.

The box flew through the air, its lid opening mid-flight, spilling its contents of small trinkets and jewelry. Liam raised his hand again, but this time, he wasn't quick enough. The box hit him squarely on the chest, the trinkets and jewelry scattering everywhere.

Liam's eyes narrowed, his face darkening with anger. "Sofia, stop this," he growled, his voice low and menacing. But Sofia was beyond reason. She was fueled by anger and desperation, and she was determined to defend herself against Liam's advances.

Liam's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the jewelry scattered on the floor. Memories of the past came flooding back, and for a moment, he was lost in thought. He remembered the laughter, the tears, and the promises they had made to each other.

But his reverie was shattered by the sound of shattering glass. Sofia had grabbed a broken glass from the floor and hurled it at him. Liam's reflexes were slow, and before he could react, the glass had already struck him.

He tried to dodge it with his hand, but it was too late. The glass pierced his hand, cutting deep into his flesh. Blood gushed out of the wound, dripping onto the floor.

Liam's eyes snapped back into focus, and he stared at his hand in shock. He felt a wave of pain wash over him, and his vision began to blur. He stumbled backwards, his hand clutched to his chest.

Sofia's eyes were wide with fear, but she didn't move. She just stood there, frozen in place, as Liam stumbled backwards, his blood-soaked hand clutched to his chest.

Liam's eyes locked onto Sofia's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. The only sound was the dripping of Liam's blood onto the floor.

Sofia's face was pale, her eyes wide with fear. She seemed to be frozen in place, unable to move or speak.

Liam's gaze never wavered from Sofia's face. He took a step forward, his hand still clutched to his chest. "You're going to pay for this," he growled, his voice low and menacing.

Sofia's eyes flashed with fear, and she took a step back. But Liam just kept coming, his eyes blazing with anger.

Suddenly, Sofia's face seemed to crumple, and she let out a sob. "Liam, please," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Don't hurt me."

Liam's gaze faltered for a moment, and he seemed to hesitate. But then his face hardened, and he took another step forward. "You should have thought of that before you tried to kill me," he spat, his voice venomous.

He grabbed her, his fingers wrapping tightly around her wrist. Sofia struggled hard, trying to break free from his grip, but Liam held her fast. He lifted her off the ground, his eyes blazing with a cold, murderous intensity.

Sofia's heart trembled with fear as she realized she had gone too far this time. Liam's face was twisted in a snarl, his lips curled back from his teeth.

With a swift motion, Liam turned and strode out of the room, Sofia still struggling in his grasp. The butler, who had been standing in the hallway, watched in shock as Liam passed by, his body covered in bloodstains and his hand dripping with fresh blood.
