Chapter 31 - Chapter 31

DC Universe, Gotham City

A spaceship hovered in the sky, casting an ominous shadow over the Earth.

The oppressive atmosphere was felt worldwide, with major media outlets buzzing - some with surprise, others with panic.

Meanwhile, officials were tense, unsure if this alien ship meant friendship or war.

Inside the ship, eight figures - five men and three women - stood at a monitor.

"General Zod! The life code signal has been detected! Target is likely the Son of Jor-El!" a short-haired, striking woman reported.

"We've been wandering the universe for years, and now we finally have hope," Zod, clad in black armor, declared with determination.

"What's the next step?" inquired a bald man.

"Our mission is to rebuild Krypton, not to kill. We will find the Son of Jor-El and tell him the truth," Zod said, glancing out the window.

"I believe he'll cooperate to make Earth into new Krypton."

"And if he doesn't?" another subordinate asked cautiously.

"Then he will meet his end," Zod replied, a flicker of menace in his eyes.

---

Outside, military forces gathered, tanks and fighter planes ready for action. A high-ranking general watched the ship on a large screen.

"Do we know their intentions?" he asked, clearly concerned.

"No, sir," his assistant replied, equally grave.

"Aliens... could mean disaster," a bald analyst murmured. "With our technology, we're unprepared for a war, even with superheroes on our side."

The General nodded. "Let's try diplomacy first. But if it turns into a fight, we will stand our ground."

---

At Wayne Tower, Batman, Green Arrow and Catwoman watched the spaceship from a distance.

"What now?" Selina asked.

"We don't know their strength, so we'll watch for now. They may be beyond our capabilities," Batman replied gravely.

"What if they're enemies?" Green Arrow asked, clenching his fists.

Batman looked out thoughtfully, remembering their last encounter with Chu Mo and the limits of their powers.

"Look, Superman's on his way!" Green Arrow said, pointing outside as the ship's hatch opened.

Marvel Universe, Stark Industries

The cocktail party was in full swing, the Avengers reveling in their victory.

In a guest room, Chu Mo and Wanda shared a tender moment after their time apart.

With the power of the Mind Stone, Wanda's strength continued to grow, approaching the peak Earth level in the Marvel Universe's power hierarchy - Earth Level, Sub-Sky Level, Father Level, Single Universe Level, Multiverse Level.

She was still young, with much potential yet to be unleashed, but her journey to power was painful, her progress relentless with the help of the Mind Stone.

As Wanda drifted off to sleep, Chu Mo gazed out the window, lost in thought. Through the system, he had replicated numerous powers of superheroes.

The system's levels - Bronze and Silver - were equivalent to Marvel's Earth and Underworld levels, respectively.

Gold, he surmised, would correspond to the Father Level.

He looked at Wanda, knowing that her Scarlet Witch powers, once fully awakened, could reach the single universe level.

But Marvel, with its threats from Thanos to the Celestials, posed immense dangers.

The DC world was equally dangerous, filled with entities like Darkseid and the Presence.

Chu Mo cared little for himself, but the well-being of his loved ones was paramount.

"Gotham City: 36 hours, 54 minutes, 32 seconds."

His mission timer counted down. He could travel to the DC Universe at any time, but Wanda kept him tethered here.

Even if chaos broke out in DC, as long as his loved ones were safe, he wouldn't care.

But Chu Mo doesn't want to leave now.

Wanda has become his bond.

While traveling to the Marvel World, he senses a spaceship approaching Earth in the Universe.

Chu Mo has a probable answer in his mind.

It should be the exiled Kryptonians.

Zod and his subordinates.

But with Superman there, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Two days.

He wants to relax.

Besides, even if this world is destroyed, he doesn't care.

As long as Lois and Nora are safe, it's okay.

"Tada!"

The sound of high heels echoed in the hallway.

Chu Mo looked over.

"Hmm? Natasha? What is she doing here?"

Natasha stopped at the door, looking very hesitant.

Chu Mo glanced at Wanda on the bed, carefully opened the door and stepped out.

"Ah!"

Natasha saw Chu Mo open the door and instinctively wanted to scream.

In an instant, Chu Mo covered her mouth.

"Shh!"

Chu Mo whispered.

He leaned over and asked softly.

"What are you doing here so late?"

Natasha's face immediately flushed.

After hesitating several times, she finally spoke.

"I... I don't know if the contract we signed last time is still valid?"

"Ah!"

Chu Mo raised an eyebrow.

"Of course it counts. Are you here to honor it?"

Natasha lowered her head to avoid Chu Mo's gaze.

Her voice was unusually soft.

"Yes."
