Wonder Woman suddenly turned her head and glared at Chu Mo. She could no longer stand him.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the room:
"Let's welcome the sponsor of tonight's cocktail party, Mr. Bruce Wayne, to give a speech!"
An older man with white hair spoke slowly, followed by warm applause.
A man in his forties, dressed in a sharp suit, took the stage. His posture was erect and confident.
Diana, still angry, noticed the crowd around her. After some thought, she decided to suppress her anger for now.
"I am Bruce Wayne..." Wayne began to speak.
Everyone's attention was on him, but Chu Mo just grinned.
"Isn't that Batman? He's so good at pretending!"
At the table where Chu Mo sat, there were eight people, including him and his two companions. Facing them were four men and one woman.
After hearing Chu Mo's comment, the people across the table exchanged nervous glances.
One of the handsome men opened his mouth to speak, but the woman next to him quickly grabbed his arm and stopped him. She was stunningly beautiful and gently shook her head at the man.
"Brother, if you have something to say, just say it. Why let a Doe stop you?" Chu Mo teased.
The woman across the table immediately became furious. "Who are you calling a bitch?" she snapped, staring at Chu Mo intensely.
"I'm talking to you. Who else?" Chu Mo replied, completely unfazed.
"Selina, don't bother with him," the man next to her said, trying to calm her down.
"What? You're Selina?" Chu Mo asked in surprise.
"Who else?" Selina snarled through clenched teeth.
Chu Mo was taken aback. "Selina Kyle?"
When she did not deny it, Chu Mo casually continued, "So the Catwoman hiding in Gotham City is you!"
"What? She's Catwoman?"
"Isn't she a Vigilante thief?"
"Impossible!"
People at nearby tables began to whisper, some in shock, others in confusion. The older man sitting next to Selina immediately distanced himself from her.
In Gotham City, Catwoman had a mixed reputation - sometimes stopping crime, sometimes robbing banks.
The Wayne family was one of her frequent targets. Whether Chu Mo's claim was true or not, people didn't want to take any chances and kept their distance.
"Do you know that what you're saying could get you sued for slander?" Selina said, still in shock.
Her identity had been carefully hidden, known only to a few. But now this stranger has exposed her.
Denial was her only option. Admitting it would make her a target, with countless enemies out to get her, and even her family.
"Haha! Go ahead, sue me. I'll publish a report tomorrow and expose your identity as Catwoman for everyone to see!" Chu Mo replied confidently.
Catwoman's threat meant nothing to him; he could easily destroy her if necessary.
"You!" Selina's anger flared and she silently vowed to kill him after the party. She couldn't allow such a dangerous person to exist.
Wonder Woman, standing in the corner, had the same thought. Chu Mo was giving away their secrets too easily.
"Oliver, let's go," Selina said, getting up to leave with the young man beside her.
"Oliver Queen, Green Arrow,?" Chu Mo called out again.
Oliver, who had just stood up, almost stumbled in shock. 'How does he know me too?'
The entire group erupted into chaos. Green Arrow was not like Catwoman - he was a known crimefighter who never hesitated to punish criminals.
The room, filled with political and business elites, many of whom had ties to Gotham's underground, grew tense.
"My friend, I advise you to watch your words," Green Arrow said, his eyes flashing with murderous intent.
Just then, a young waiter approached with a tray of champagne. "Everyone, please calm down. Have some champagne," he said, trying to ease the tension.
Chu Mo glanced at the waiter's name tag. "Barry Allen?" he muttered to himself. "Have I stumbled into a nest of DC superheroes? The Flash works here as a waiter?"
Diana watched silently, remembering how Chu Mo had known her identity. Now he was revealing other people's secrets. She had no doubt that he was telling the truth.
Now, all eyes at the party were on Chu Mo. Bruce Wayne slowly walked over.
"Everyone, please don't believe this madman's words. How could they be Catwoman and Green Arrow?" Bruce said, trying to calm the crowd.
"I swear on the reputation of the Wayne family, they are both good friends of mine. They are definitely not Green Arrow and Catwoman."
Bruce's assurance seemed to calm the crowd.
"Yes, Mr. Wayne is right. How is that possible?"
"There's no way Catwoman and Green Arrow would be here together," people muttered.
Chu Mo stepped forward. "Oh, come on, Batman. You're so good at pretending to be a saint!"
The crowd erupted in laughter.
"Did he just say that Master Wayne is Batman? This guy's gone crazy!"
"That's Bruce Wayne! How could he be Batman?"
A man suddenly stood up.
"Sir, I am Harvey Dent, the District Attorney of Gotham City. You need to stop this nonsense or you'll face legal consequences."
"The White Knight of Gotham, Harvey Dent!" Chu Mo silently watched the man. Standing next to Batman, Harvey looked serious, his eyes piercing.
"It appears he has not yet become Two-Face," Chu Mo thought. Harvey was still Batman's friend and trusted his convictions above all else.
With a mischievous smile, Chu Mo turned to Harvey. "Mr. Harvey, as Gotham's District Attorney, will you swear on your faith that Bruce Wayne is not Batman?"
Harvey's eyes widened and he fell silent. The room grew eerily quiet, the laughter from earlier silenced. The men who had mocked Chu Mo moments before now sat in stunned silence.
