Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Sokovia!

The war had reached a fever pitch!

The Avengers were losing ground.

Now, only Wanda was putting up a desperate fight.

Large amounts of vibranium were being transported and fed into the furnace.

Bang!

Wanda's energy shockwave hit a newly created Ultron, but there was only a hairline crack on the chest of this Ultron mecha.

A ray of light flashed, and the crack instantly returned to its original state!

"What?"

Wanda was shocked.

The Ultron Sentinel in front of her was different from the others! The metal on this Mecha was incredibly hard.

"Vibranium!" Tony muttered, his face dejected. It could be said that he was completely responsible for this disaster.

"If that man shows up, can he solve this crisis?" Captain America had regained consciousness.

Tony shook his head slowly. "Ultimate Ultron is too powerful. He's not just an individual; his Vibranium Army is about to be fully formed!"

"That man is strong, but against an army of this size? He's insignificant. Worse, Ultron now controls the entire network! He can mobilize every resource on Earth!" Tony explained helplessly.

Ultron hovered in the sky, watching the battle below with derision.

"What are we going to do now? Just stand by and let Earth be destroyed?" Natasha shouted, her eyes filled with tears.

"We never give up, not until the last moment!" Captain America tried to cheer her up.

"Never give up? Tell me, how do we fight back in this situation?" Barton snapped.

"Stop arguing!" Nick Fury stepped forward. "I've called Earth's last line of defense! Just hold on a little longer! If all else fails, we'll use nuclear weapons."

"Nuclear weapons..." Natasha's face was heavy with fear.

Ultron surveyed the Avengers below with amusement. "The fun is over. Let the destruction begin!"

At his command, the Vibranium Ultron army surged forward, overwhelming the Avengers.

Wanda's pressure increased a hundredfold as hundreds of Ultron Sentinels surrounded her.

Rays of destructive energy shot toward her. Her crimson barrier shattered instantly.

"I'm going to die..." Wanda thought as she slowly closed her eyes.

'My greatest happiness in this life was being with you', she murmured, thinking of him in her last moments.

Bang!

A figure shot through the sky at lightning speed, grabbing Wanda just before the beams hit.

"Is this a dream? It feels like one... What a happy hallucination," she thought in her daze.

"Baby, what are you doing?" a familiar voice asked.

Wanda's eyes widened in disbelief. She clung to Chu Mo's neck, tears streaming uncontrollably.

"I never thought I'd see you again!" she sobbed.

"Haha! I'm here now!" Chu Mo said, comforting her. "Don't worry, I'll take care of everything."

Captain America's eyes lit up. "He's here! We may still have a chance!"

"Yeah, I didn't think he'd actually show up," Natasha said, her fighting spirit rekindled.

Tony glanced at Chu Mo, but quickly looked away. He knew Chu Mo was powerful, but this was the Ultron Army - a force of millions. No matter how strong Chu Mo was, could he really fight such an army?

Thor shouted excitedly, "It's him! It's him!"

Hulk, who had broken through Ultron Sentinels encirclement, also looked up, his angry expression calming down.

Barton gripped his bow tightly, conflicted by a flood of emotions: surprise, excitement, hatred, fear. This was the man who had destroyed his faith.

Nick Fury glanced at Chu Mo. This was the same man who had tormented the Avengers mercilessly before. Could he save them now?

In the sky, Ultron noticed Chu Mo's sudden appearance. His radar hadn't detected him. He seems to have appeared out of nowhere.

Two possibilities came to mind: either this man could teleport, or he was moving at speeds beyond current technology.

But Ultron quickly dismissed his concerns. No matter how strong this man was, he couldn't defeat an army of millions.

Ultron has control over the entire planet's network; as long as the world has the Internet, he could never be killed.

Chu Mo looked at the Mind Stone embedded in Ultron's forehead.

Wanda felt ashamed. "I'm sorry..." she whispered.

Chu Mo playfully pinched her nose. "Since it was a gift to you, how you use it is your business. Why apologize, baby?"

A warmth filled Wanda's heart. Her body trembled slightly, and if the situation hadn't been so dire, she would have shown him how grateful she was for those words.

But looking at the massive Ultron army, she couldn't help but worry.

"Humans are such pathetic creatures," Ultron sneered. "Even on the brink of death, they still have time for romance."

He gave the order: "All sentinels, attack this human!"

Immediately, the Ultron Sentinels charged at Chu Mo, their sheer numbers blotting out the sky. Lasers of destructive energy rained down on him.

*Boom!*

The area where Chu Mo had stood was instantly obliterated.

The Avengers watched anxiously. Surviving such a devastating attack was almost impossible.

As the laser beams dissipated, there was nothing left. No sign of Chu Mo or Wanda.

"It was just a fleeting hope..." Captain America collapsed, defeated.

"Who will save Earth now?" Natasha cried.

"Just a show-off who got himself killed," Nick Fury muttered, unable to believe what had just happened.

"It's all my fault! It's all my fault!" Tony blamed himself.

"Haha, I thought he was someone important. Turns out he was just a weakling!" Ultron laughed contemptuously.

Suddenly, a voice rang out.

"Baby, don't lose it again!"

Chu Mo appeared right next to Ultron, holding Wanda in one arm and grabbing Ultron's forehead with the other.
