Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

"Sign the contract!" Chu Mo turned and looked at Perry.

Perry hesitated for a moment. The Daily Planet was no longer the powerful force it once was. Its profits were dwindling, and with people's focus shifting from newspapers to short videos, its influence was fading.

However with this video, Perry realized he could create a new media company that would attract massive attention.

"It's time to let go of the Daily Planet," he thought. "These videos are going to get more attention than anything else."

Perry made his decision quickly. "Nora!" he called. The assistant came in, her hips swaying as usual.

"Yes, boss?" Nora looked at him with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"Draw up a contract for the transfer of the Daily Planet shares," Perry said without hesitation.

"What?!" Nora was stunned. She'd worked hard to become Perry's' assistant at the Daily Planet, thinking she'd quickly climb the corporate ladder.

But now the most important newspaper in Gotham was about to change hands.

She quickly realized that her future with the company was uncertain.

"Hurry," Perry urged.

Nervous and disappointed, Nora set to work. Soon the contract was finished and placed on the table.

As she handed over the document, Nora couldn't help but wonder about her new boss. "Who will be in charge now?" she thought.

Without hesitation, Chu Mo signed the contract. Perry, though still hesitant, saw the determined look in Chu Mo's eyes and signed as well.

"Now get your phone and leave. This place is mine now," Chu Mo said coldly.

Perry gave Chu Mo one last look, grabbed his phone and walked out without looking back.

Lois, who had been silent, was in complete shock. "Did Chu Mo really just take control of the Daily Planet with a few videos?" she thought, unable to believe what had just happened.

Meanwhile, Nora, who was standing nearby, was filled with a mix of emotions. On the one hand, her new boss was incredibly handsome, but on the other hand, she didn't know what to expect from him.

"Lois, you've been at this paper a long time. From now on, you'll be in charge of everything," Chu Mo said with a smile.

"Everything?" Lois asked, her voice full of surprise. "Including finances and personnel decisions?"

"Everything," Chu Mo replied with a grin.

Nora's heart sank. She and Lois had never gotten along and often clashed in the office. Nora had always relied on her looks to win favor, but it seemed that the tables had turned.

Lois is now the second most powerful person in the company.

"All my hard work for nothing," Nora thought, feeling uneasy.

"By the way," Chu Mo said, turning to Nora, "you're my personal assistant now."

"What?!" Nora was shocked. She had just lost her position as Perry's' assistant, and now Chu Mo was giving her a new role. But the meaning of his words was clear.

Lois looked at Nora with contempt. She clenched her fists. "This fu**ng Vixen!" she thought. Los had planned to fire her immediately, but decided to hold off for now.

"Lois, you go and do your work. Nora, you stay here," Chu Mo said, his eyes lingering on Nora.

Lois, feeling that it would be pointless to argue, reluctantly left the room, feeling conflicted.

Once they were alone, Chu Mo looked at Nora. Her face was flushed and she felt incredibly uncomfortable under his intense gaze.

"She has a great figure and perfect looks," Chu Mo thought to himself. "Long blonde hair, light skin, and such a shapely figure. She's the perfect assistant."

Nora stood there unsure of what to do. She had never dealt with such a direct boss before. Most men were subtle, but Chu Mo didn't hide anything.

"From now on, don't wear formal office clothes. I want to see you in black stockings starting tomorrow," Chu Mo said, narrowing his eyes.

His bluntness shocked Nora. She had never met anyone who spoke so openly. She blushed and stammered, "Yes, boss."

Chu Mo waved his hand, signaling her to leave, and Nora quickly walked out of the room.

Once outside, she took a deep breath. In just a few minutes, her whole life had changed. "This is intense," she thought.

Her colleagues, sensing the shift in power, rushed over to her. "Nora, how's the new boss? Did he fire you?"

Nora looked at them with contempt. These were the same people who had mocked her when she first joined the company. They had spread rumors about her and belittled her behind her back.

She smiled coldly and said, "Mind your own business. If anyone dares to speak ill of the new boss, you'll have to answer to me."

The crowd quickly dispersed, not wanting to get on her bad side.

Nora sat back at her desk and thought about Chu Mo's request. "Black stockings, huh?" she mused, tapping her fingers on the table. Then her eyes fell on a party invitation.

An idea formed in her head. "In this world, beauty and power are everything. Time to raise my game."

Meanwhile, Chu Mo stood at the window of his new office, gazing at the Gotham skyline.

"This building is mine now," he thought, a grin spreading across his face.

Just then, a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.

"Come in," he called.

Nora entered the room, holding a party invitation, dressed in a revealing outfit that accentuated her curves, with black stockings that highlighted her long legs.

"Boss, the Wayne family has invited you to a cocktail party tonight," she said, bending down slightly to hand him the invitation, unintentionally giving him a clear view of her deep cleavage.

Chu Mo was momentarily stunned.

"I didn't expect her to act so quickly," he thought. "This cleavage... it's hard to look away. And I only mentioned the black stockings for tomorrow, yet here she is already wearing them—and they're plaid!"

He felt his composure slipping. 'Calm down, Chu Mo, stay in control.'

"They invited me?" After calming down Chu Mo asked in surprise. He had just taken over the Daily Planet and the upper crust of Gotham already knew?

Nora hesitated before explaining, "The invitation was actually for the previous owner, but it arrived within the past week.

Chu Mo understood immediately. "So that's it."

He looked at the guest list and was shocked. "Oliver Queen? Green Arrow! Bruce Wayne? Batman! Selina Kyle, Catwoman?"

"This is no ordinary party. There are a dozen superheroes on this list!" he thought, excitement rising in him.

"What if I reveal all their identities?" he mused. "It would cause absolute chaos."

As Chu Mo grinned at the possibilities, Nora made a decision. She knelt down, placed her hands on his waist, and looked up at him.

"Nora, what are you doing?" Chu Mo asked, startled.
