Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 - A Bloody Battle

How can you be this strong despite still being in the Meridian Opening Realm? Or are you hiding your true power?" Jiang Yun was extremely frustrated and confused by Isis's strength, as she managed to counter his strike with ease.

"You're definitely hiding your power. Hmph, you're not taking this battle seriously. Then, die!" Isis didn't respond, though she was indeed slightly puzzled. She was in the Meridian Opening Realm, yet could kill anyone in the Primal Realm.

This was the first time she encountered someone who could actually fight her and even surpass her in power, so she was a bit unsettled. "It seems this battle is going to be very interesting," Isis grinned widely, her face filled with excitement. After all, a warrior's blood coursed through her veins.

The two flew backward, and when Jiang Yun saw her smile, he became even angrier. "Smile all you want! I'll make this wench regret making me kneel before her. You'll be the sacrifice, so don't blame me." Jiang Yun said that and took out thin leather gloves, attacking Isis fiercely once more.

"Just you?!!" Isis scoffed, but the excited smile never left her face as she gripped her sword tightly and charged at Jiang Yun.

"Boom..." She swung her sword, clashing with his gloves, creating a massive spark and a loud collision sound. Both were pushed back, but Isis retreated ten steps, while Jiang Yun only three. It was clear that Jiang Yun was the victor, though he was still playing around, while Isis continued to smile.

"It seems you're really strong, but do you know what separates the Primal Realm from the Four Major Realms?" Jiang Yun spoke, energy surged from his body, exerting immense pressure on Isis, who remained unmoved.

"Smile..." Isis smiled even more as she looked at Jiang Yun, unnerving him slightly. "What's making this wench smile like that? Has she lost her mind or what? I need to end this quickly to help the old man slaughter this wench."

Above the clouds, an old man, appearing over seventy years old with a long white beard and white hair, sat observing them.

It was clear he was powerful, as Sirene hadn't even noticed him—likely due to her sealed power, but this showed the old man's strength.

"Oh?! So, this girl is the general's daughter? She's really impressive. But it seems this is the end. After all, there's a vast difference between the Primal Realm and the Meridian Opening Realm; the Primal Realm marks the true start of cultivation."

"This is...

How could this be?! Has the Heavenly Court betrayed us? Have they become dogs for those people from that place?" On the other side, Sirene was enraged as she faced the old man, Dawood, who fought her, with strange energy now surrounding him.

Previously, Dawood was just an ordinary human against Sirene, but suddenly, dark energy surged from him, transforming his body. First, he grew long, frightening fangs, then sharp black claws emerged from his hands. Finally, his body expanded, and his eyes turned blood red.

"Hehehe... What do you think? Are you afraid now? I came here to capture you, not just to kill you."

"Oh!! Just you?!" Sirene's tone of mockery matched Isis's exactly, even flashing a similar smile.

"Let me ask you a question..." Sirene stepped toward Dawood, speaking calmly, but the pressure from her body rose. "In your opinion, how many people from that place have I killed?!" Dawood was briefly taken aback, about to sneer at Sirene when she appeared in front of him and said, "That's right... Countless. Boom..."

"Poof..." She landed another punch on his chest before he could react, blood spurting from his mouth, his face filled with shock.

"Damn it, even after using this power... Looks like I need to use it all." Immediately afterward, Dawood's aura intensified, his body transforming completely into a beast with dark scales, and his eyes turned fully red. He glanced at his body and laughed.

"Hahaha... This is so powerful!" Dawood lunged at Sirene, launching punches. Sirene blocked them but was pushed back, then he struck her repeatedly from both sides as she blocked.

"Hmph... Let's try these claws now..." Dawood brandished his claws and attacked again, this time with his sharp claws. Sirene smirked. "This bastard turned into a full beast; this battle will be tough since more than 90% of my power is sealed!"

"Yield obediently and become a prisoner, wench!" Dawood shouted, swinging his claws. Sirene blocked with her hand, but this time, the claws managed to cut her hand deeply, spilling blood everywhere.

Elsewhere, young fighters were engaged in a bloody battle with the soldiers of the Heavenly Court. After Sirene had struck down the young master and the captain of the guards with just a glare, and after Isis had left, the battle in that area was fierce. Although the youths were slightly weaker, they showed incredible bravery.

A few had fallen, and others were severely wounded. Caesar's younger sister, Sarah, tended to the injured along with other girls who couldn'

t fight.

"Brother..." Sarah watched her brother while tending to the injured, deeply worried and praying for him.

On the other side, Caesar fought like a ferocious beast, tearing through soldiers with his dragon-like claws.

"Damn it! Is that brat a monster?!" "Gather together to kill this little monster first!" The soldiers, terrified of Caesar, surrounded him, but his momentum didn't waver; he seemed almost unaware of himself.

His eyes slowly turned black, and dark scales covered in bloody runes gradually appeared on his body, starting from his arms.

With each new scale, he grew more violent, attacking with greater ferocity, tearing the soldiers around him to pieces with his claws.

"Ahhh..." "Run, run fast... Ahhh!" "Captain, save me..." "Save us, young master... Ahhh!" The soldiers surrounding him now tried to flee, calling out to the young master and the captain of the guards before their bodies were shredded.

"Stop, you bastard, or I'll kill this girl now..." Caesar heard a voice and looked to the side, finding a man holding his sister Sarah by the neck, suspending her in the air as she struggled to breathe.

It was the captain of the guards, strangling Sarah to the point where she was nearly suffocating. When Caesar saw this, a memory flashed in his mind.

"Caesar... please protect your sister well. I'm counting on you, my son." The memory showed a man and a woman with kind smiles, but the moment he remembered, Caesar completely lost control, his eyes turning entirely black.

"Graaah... Graaaaah..." A furious dragon roar burst from Caesar's mouth like thunder, shaking the ground around him as intense pressure erupted from him.

"Crack... Crack" Everyone heard the sound of chains breaking from within Caesar's core, accompanied by an increase in the scales covering his body.

The pressure intensified as more scales appeared on his body; it was the pressure of a powerful bloodline—a giant looking down at an ant. He spoke in a thunderous, roaring voice:

"What's wrong with this bastard?!!"
