Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 - The Current Situation in the World

"Why were you hiding your strength, mother, despite these fools' arrogance towards you?!"

Jowalin looked at his mother, Sirin, speaking seriously, but filled with doubt.

Although he hadn't been strong enough to properly assess his mother's power when he was younger, he was certain she was incredibly powerful.

"...."

Sirin remained silent, then walked out, with Jowalin following her quietly, not uttering a word, patiently waiting for her to speak.

"Do you know the situation in the world now?"

Sirin looked into the distance and finally spoke, but she answered with a question instead.

"....Not really, but I can guess a thing or two from the situation before I fell into that long coma."

Jowalin replied somewhat evasively. After all, it was impossible to tell his mother that he had lived through all ages and ruled over the seven lands.

Sirin looked at Jowalin and smiled slightly, which shocked him.

"Could it be that my mother knows about my time travel? If so, she and father must have planned it... And if that's the case..."

"Don't burden your mind with random thoughts."

Sirin interrupted Jowalin's thoughts, then looked up at the perfectly clear sky.

"Though the sky is clear, this calm is the most terrifying thing in the world..."

"Behind this calm, there are conspiracies being plotted both inside and outside this land. There are entities waiting for the chance to destroy us all."

Jowalin stayed silent the entire time, not wanting his mother to know that he knew everything, but does he truly know everything?

"Opportunity? What do you mean, mother?"

Jowalin was somewhat confused. From his perspective, the country was in a state of weakness and corruption now, so what were they waiting for?

"...To confirm your father's death, or that he isn't here in the central land."

Sirin answered sadly, but her response completely stunned Jowalin.

"!!!!!"

"Have humans ventured into the other six lands?! But why?! And above all, my father went!!!"

The more Jowalin thought about it, the more worried he became, his anger and confusion growing stronger.

"Why would my father leave the central land? Didn't the ancestors warn us? What's changed now?"

Jowalin was extremely angry. In fact, it was he who had left the warning message behind in the previous age.

"You don't know anything."

"Then tell me, mother. I need to know what's happening now."

"...Well, you think the monsters that invaded the world are the ones you saw before you fell into that long coma, right?"

"...."

Sirin looked at Jowalin and asked with sarcasm, but Jowalin didn't speak, waiting for his mother to continue.

"These monsters were just the beginning. No... they didn't even deserve to be the beginning of the catastrophe."

"They were weak, which is why they passed through the barrier surrounding this land without being destroyed, but..."

"The barrier was weakening with every passing moment, frighteningly fast, until it was no longer able to block very powerful entities."

"If it weren't for your father awakening his lineage from a young age, humans would have gone extinct."

"....."

Anger rose from Jowalin's eyes as he thought angrily.

"How did the barrier weaken, for heaven's sake?! And what are those fools like Set, Osiris, Horus, and the others doing? Could it be that these bastards are invading the Earth again?!!!!"

Suddenly, he thought of something that made him even angrier, but he calmed himself down and asked his mother:

"What exactly did my father do?"

At that moment, a look of pride appeared on Sirin's face, a smile full of longing and sadness mixed with teary, worried eyes.

"Your father was the one who taught humans how to awaken their lineage. These lineages were the original human lineages who practiced agriculture."

"Your father ordered the method to be spread across all corners of the central land. Since power is determined by the lineage and the technique inherited, the distinction of descendants of the ancient lineages like us, and the descendants of Babylon and ancient China, was inevitable."

"But one day, people appeared following the Council of Kings, which consists of twelve races. They were terrifyingly powerful."

"Though we won, your father knew that these people were just weaklings, and with the continued weakening of the barrier, the truly powerful beings would gradually appear."

"Based on that, your father gathered the strongest individuals from all the very powerful families and created the Heavenly Court. It was an academy to prepare generations for what was to come."

"Under your father's leadership, the influence of the Heavenly Court spread throughout the central land, but he refused to rule the central land in any way."

"Could it be that these fools were from that Heavenly Court, or whatever it was?"

Jowalin was confused. If this Heavenly Court was established by his father, then how dare they tamper with his homeland?

"That's because your father was so strong that it was laughable, and his rapid advancement caused jealousy and hatred to arise among the powerful."

"And when your father left, these fools took control of all the lands, which your father considered a taboo, but they didn't dare tamper with it here."

"So what has happened to them now to make them meddle with us?"

Jowalin asked with curiosity and murderous intent. After all, they had almost harmed his mother and beloved sister.

"This is what worries me. I fear... I fear something has happened to your father."

Tears fell from Sirin's beautiful eyes and almost touched the ground. Jowalin quickly embraced her.

"....."

"Don't worry, mother. My father isn't someone who dies that easily."

Jowalin tried to comfort his mother, then asked:

"So why did father leave the central lands?"

"I don't know. He came one day, twenty years ago, after going to the Great Pyramid to pay respects to the ancestors. He said the ancestors told him that someone was invading the world…"

Sirin was then shocked by the murderous intent emanating from Jowalin, so strong that it manifested as blood filling the air, stretching to the horizon.

This murderous intent made her tremble violently. It was fear originating from the bloodline, as if she had encountered her natural predator, then she heard Jowalin shout in extreme anger:

"!!!So it was really them... I will slaughter them again!"
