{First, I apologize for the delay in this chapter; I have been busy, and I also started writing a third book. Also, thank you for the support, seriously. Today I reviewed the story, and it has over 220,000 views. This story is receiving more support than I thought it would have from the beginning}
(More than two years, more than two years, and I finally managed to complete the template) thought Velariel as she walked through the school hallways.
(I'm not sure, but I think the reason it took so long was because of the four enhancement cards I gave to the template. I don't know how they affect it, but I think they make it take longer to level up.) She entered her room after greeting some of the students who had joined the school in these years.
"If these two years have been quite fun… except for September 11…" she said to herself as she recalled how her negative emotion absorption ability had leveled up two times in just one day, and those had been the only levels she had gained since acquiring it.
She shook her head to rid herself of the bad memories and thought,
(Since it's the only template left, I'll use Mina's… and I've been putting it off for quite some time, so I'll choose the Novice Chaos Manipulator class. I think I have enough skills to compensate if something goes wrong.) And so she chose her template without further delay, only hesitating a bit when she saw the class that unlocked the Kakuja and a new one that she would unlock upon completing the four Kagune classes.
She felt an uncomfortable sensation throughout her body, but apart from that, she didn't feel much else.
"Twenty percent? Why does the template start so high?" The moment she equipped Mina's template, it was already at 20% assimilation, confusing the small girl.
"Maybe it has to do with my blood being acidic… In fact, this is quite useful."
[Template: Mina Ashido
• Acid: The user can expel a black acidic substance from the pores of their body.
• Control of Acidity and Viscosity: The user can control the potency of the acid they expel and its viscosity, making it as sticky as glue and reducing its friction. (Does not affect the acidic blood.)]
"A template without many elements, but it works," she said as she changed her clothes.
"I wonder if Jean and the others have already returned?" She was heading to the door of her room when she stopped upon noticing something in her reflection.
"…Right, in the series, Mina has black sclera."
…
"So now you can produce acid from your hands and feet, as well as control how acidic it is, and you can control this strange black energy coming from you?" Jean asked.
"And your eyes are now black," added Kitty.
"Yeah, it happened after the test to join the team while I was changing,"
"And what did Dr. McCoy say?"
"He just sighed and said, 'Yes, you were overdue to show more changes,' and let me go."
Kitty started laughing, and Jean just smiled until she seemed to remember something and said, "By the way, how did the test go, Vela?"
Vela is the nickname the kids gave to Velariel.
She just smiled, "Now I'm an X-Man."
"YES! I knew it!" Kitty shouted as she hugged Vela.
Meanwhile, Jean watched the duo and smiled, saying, "Welcome to the X-Men."
…
Vela was lying on her bed when she said, "Well, I'm going to roll the gacha."

"…Well, that's a lot of templates," Vela said as she looked at the gacha rewards.
(First, the cards: 15 enhancement cards and 4 debility removal cards, while the two new ones… are very useful. Each one increases the number of classes I can have and the number of templates I can assimilate, respectively.)
"They're really stupidly useful," she said after thinking about the possibilities.
"The items are fine; the speed and health potions can be useful in various situations, and the abilities…" As she saw what one of the abilities did, she was shocked and quickly activated the ability, running to the mirror in her room to look at her reflection.
And there, instead of the girl with horns, scales, exoskeleton, and tail who greeted her every morning, was a tall eight-year-old girl for her age with white hair and purple eyes, completely normal from then on.
What the Human Transformation does is, as its name indicates, turn the subject into a human, only that it reduces their abilities to those of a normal human. Velariel can still use abilities like acid or black steel rivet, but these are toned down.
Vela looked at herself in silence for several minutes. While she had never hated her appearance, she always knew that this was the reason she spent her first five years locked in her house and the true reason she didn't have a normal life, not because she was a mutant like many of her classmates but because of her appearance.
"Alright… first I'll choose a new template and class, and then I'll tell the others…" She paused for a moment before saying, "I want to tell Mom."
…
The template she chose in the end was Batman, along with Hidden. She thought this would make a good combo.
[Template: Batman
This pill gives the host:

The professor had called all the X-Men, and this now included Velariel, so the whole team, along with the little girl, was in a conference room.
"First, I want to congratulate you all on today's mission; you did an excellent job not only recruiting those kids but also protecting them while retreating," said the professor, whom over time Vela had learned to call Professor X.
"More than retreating, I'd say we ran," Bobby said in an annoyed tone.
"Maybe, but we're not here to win fights; we're here to protect other mutants, so this is a victory. Plus, I have good news for everyone," he said first in a tone meant to inspire his students, but the second part was said with a more cheerful tone.
"Although some already know, and others might be able to infer it from her presence, the young Velariel is now part of the X-Men!"
With this, Velariel stepped up to the podium where the professor stood while her friends and teammates applauded. The professor gave her a few pats on the back while smiling but indicated that he was giving her the floor.
"Thank you for everything… honestly… since I joined the school… I've always felt grateful…" She paused for a few seconds while thinking about her words.
"For how you helped me, and I also want to help others… that's why I want to be an X-Man, and now that I am, I promise to give my best!" She paused again and added, "Oh, and look what I can do now."
And so her horns retracted along with her tail, the exoskeleton and scales fused into skin, her claws transformed into nails, and she lost a few of her sensations.
"How do I look?" Vela said while adjusting her clothes, which were a bit too big for her. Everyone went silent until someone shouted,
"VELA, YOU LOOK SO CUTE!" Kitty screamed, leading to a series of shouts, exclamations, and questions that we'll leave for another day.
…
"Tonight was full of surprises, wasn't it?" the professor asked the group behind him, which included Ororo, Logan, Jean, and Scott.
"And you can say that again; that girl never stops surprising me," Logan commented.
"Yeah, although now she'll need a new wardrobe," Ororo said with a smile on her face.
Everyone continued walking down the hallway in silence until Scott spoke up.
"Professor, I have no doubt about Vela's abilities, but she's still very young. I worry she might make a mistake."
"It's true that Velariel is still young; to be frank, even for me, who created a team of superheroes for young people, she is still too small. But our problems are not small. If this had happened two years ago, I wouldn't have accepted her, really…" He paused before continuing.
"But as the saying goes, desperate times call for desperate measures, and the Sentinels are our desperate times… besides, Vela still requires observation; her mutant power continues to grow in ways we cannot foresee… Jean, did you notice this too?"
"YES."
"What are you talking about?" Scott asked.
"We can't read her mind," said the professor, surprising everyone.
"Well, more accurately, we can't see her surface thoughts, but that was something we couldn't do before today," Jean added.
"As you once told me, Logan, it's good we brought her to the mansion."
{The longest I took for this chapter was in the gacha 30; there were too many. Also, thanks to those who gave me ideas for the gacha}
