That afternoon Roy was more alert in doing his work.
As soon as the working hours were over, Roy rushed out to the parking lot where Cindy's car was parked.
"Hey, Roy. What are you doing here?" Cindy greeted, feeling surprised when she arrived near her car and saw Roy standing there.
"I'm waiting for Auntie here on purpose, there's something I want to talk about."
"Oh, just talk about it, what's wrong?" Cindy asked, looking confused.
"If I may, not here, Auntie, someone will hear."
Hearing Roy's request, Cindy frowned.
The woman was very curious about what Roy was going to say that was confidential!
"Okay, let's get in the car, we'll talk somewhere."
It didn't take long, Roy got into Cindy's luxury car.
The two of them then headed to a cafe that not only provided various kinds of drinks, but also various foods.
"What do you want to order, Roy?" Cindy asked when they were inside the cafe.
"It's up to you, Auntie, but just a drink because I'm still full from eating with Diko this afternoon."
"Okay."
Cindy then called the cafe waiter to provide two types of fresh drinks.
"Now, you can talk here about something you wanted to say earlier," Cindy continued when the cafe waiter had left their table to prepare the drinks they ordered.
"It's like this, Auntie, but first I hope Auntie Cindy won't be angry," Roy requested, suddenly feeling hesitant and worried about what he wanted to say to Cindy.
"No, I promise I won't be angry. Come on, talk!"
Roy took a deep breath before saying, "It's like this, Auntie, since Auntie invited me to lunch with you a few days ago, suddenly most of my fellow OB colleagues have been asking questions, as have several employees in the office."
"What did they ask?" Cindy interrupted, so curious that she couldn't wait for Roy to tell her.
"They asked what my relationship was with Auntie that Auntie invited me to have lunch with her, even though it was my first day working at Auntie's company."
"How come? Then what did you answer?"
"I just kept quiet Auntie, I was confused about what to answer." Roy answered with a face that showed his confusion and discomfort.
"Okay, tomorrow I'll call them..."
"Don't Auntie." Roy interrupted.
"Why?" Cindy asked, showing her annoyance.
"I don't want Auntie to scold them later," Roy answered anxiously.
"I won't be angry, I just want to tell them not to bother with things that are none of their business, including asking about what your relationship is with me. I employ them in the office and pay them, to do their jobs well according to their respective duties and positions." Cindy looked annoyed.
"Yes, but Auntie, you don't need to call them and tell them that, Auntie will definitely scold them later and that's what I don't want. My purpose in telling Auntie about them asking yesterday was just for Auntie to know, I was just confused about what to answer and how to do it."
"But because of that you must feel uncomfortable being asked like that?"
"Yes Auntie, but it's okay I will try to get rid of that uncomfortable feeling later," Roy replied.
"This is it Roy, if they ask you that again, just answer that you are Auntie's niece," Cindy said.
"If I answer that, will they believe me, Auntie?"
"It's up to them whether they want to believe it or not, the important thing is that you can answer if they ask again about what relationship there is between you and me that I hired you in the office and invited you to have lunch with me a few days ago."
After their chat was over, from the cafe Roy was escorted back to the company office where he worked and also lived there.
Then Cindy went home to her residence.
The next day Roy returned to work as usual as an OB at Cindy's company office, as Cindy suggested every time someone asked either from Roy's fellow OB colleagues or employees in the office about his relationship with Cindy, Roy answered as the nephew of the company's CEO.
As usual, there were always those who were curious to know what the relationship was between Roy and Cindy, until they asked again and tried to get an answer from Roy.
If a few days ago one of his fellow OB colleagues named Dion and one of the employees named Yudi asked him, this time Riki, one of the company's marketing employees, when Roy delivered several glasses of drinks to the marketing room.
"Roy..!" called Riki when Roy wanted to leave the marketing room after placing several glasses of hot coffee on all the tables in the room.
"Yes, what's wrong, Mr. Riki?" asked Roy when he approached the table where the figure who had just called him was.
"Come sit down, I want to chat with you. May I?" Riki asked.
Roy nodded with a friendly smile and sat down on the chair to the left of Riki's desk.
"I heard you're the new OB here, huh?" Riki continued asking.
"Yes, Mr. Riki, I've only been here for 2 weeks," Roy answered in a friendly and relaxed manner.
"How about it, are you happy working in this office?"
"Yes, sir, I'm happy to be able to work in this office."
Roy answered again in a friendly manner even though he was starting to feel uneasy.
"Of course you're happy because you not only got a job but also got special treatment!"
Thrilled!
"What do you mean, Mr. Riki?"
