14 Months later
(1 year 2 months later, August the next year).
11th of August.
"My dearest Winter,
I, Princess Diana of Ofuland, promise to love and cherish you through all of life's moments. You're my rock, my partner, and my best friend. I vow to support and love you, always.
Forever and always, my love." I said as the crowd cheered on behind me.
My heart was beating, and my entire body was shaking. I had never felt pressure the way I was feeling at that moment, but finally, it was happening. 'Ahhhhh,' I could barely hold my excitement in.
"You may now kiss your bride," the priest said as Winter walked closer to kiss me.
"I love you" he whispered as he placed his soft lips on mine.
"Yay," the crowd cheered on. This was a special day for me, and I am glad everyone is here to celebrate it with me.
"Congratulations your majesty"
"Congratulations"
"Congratulations your majesty"
"Congratulations!" a line of people came to congratulate me as they dropped their gifts; few I knew, and the rest were all strangers to me.
I can't believe this has finally happened; it all felt like yesterday; it all felt like I met winter yesterday, and now this is our wedding; I am in tears.
"Come on, come and dance with us." Idar dragged me to the dance floor as she began to sway my hips and my entire body to dance. I could see the smiles on everyone's faces; they all looked happy for me. This was finally happening.
"Mr. Winter," I said as we both began to laugh; I couldn't believe I was his wife. It all happened so fast.
"I am glad you finally found someone who treats you right," Idar said as we danced away, the day seemed to be longer than usual, and I did not mind that I wanted it to last forever; if this was a dream, I don't want to be taken up from it.
"Yeah," I said, teary as I stole a glance from Winter. He is my knight in shining armor, and I love him for that.
"You deserve it, girl," Idar said as she grabbed a bottle of wine from a table and began to chug it down; I guess there was no use for me anymore.
"So this is goodbye?" I could hear her holding back her tears as Lina embraced me in a warm hug.
"Come on now, I will never stop being your princess." I just gotten married, and I never realized my title as the future Queen of Ofuland, I was an only child, and there was no one next in line for the throne besides me.
"I would miss styling you daily, my princess," Lina began to sob.
"I would miss that too, but hey, I would be back soon," I assured her.
"Yes, I know, and the fact that your mother accepted your fiancée is what surprises me," Lina said.
"Well, I guess you can say luck was on my side," I responded as she began to cry gently.
"Come on, no one is dying. I will be back before you know it," I said as I cleaned her tears; even if she was my royal stylist, she was also my friend, and I would miss her for the time being.
"Princess" Grace joined in on the hug.
"My princess, I would miss you," Grace said softly.
"What are you talking about? You are coming with me." I wondered what was going through her head; she always followed me everywhere. I was just married, and I was not being excommunicated.
"Gather around; why don't we make a toast?" Mom said as she hit her glass cup with a spoon.
"To love, to Diana to winter," she started with her basic ass toast; for the first time, she wasn't bitter to me, although she had opposed the wedding up until last week; it made me happy to see her support me and my goals.
"I am happy to have such a blessed daughter-in-law; she is like the daughter I never had..."
"Or needed," I heard someone from the crowd say; the exact person wasn't identifiable as we were all standing together, and there was noise coming from different angles.
"Thank you," I said to my mother-in-law as I tried to compose myself; I didn't want to let someone's bad intentions ruin my happy day.
"Oh, I thank the lord for sparing my life. I am glad I can attend such a grand event. I am so happy for you." Gran Gran sure was old, but that wouldn't stop her from yapping.
"Diana finally found her one true love, and he is so charming, loving, and generous; everything you want in a life partner, he has it; congratulations once again, dear," Gran said as the crowd began to slowly disperse to the back.
"What's going on there?" Idar asked as something seemed to be carrying everyone's attention; it wasn't me, neither was it the groom, so what could it be?
"I think it's going to be a boy this time around," I heard Fred's mom talking to another guest.
"A boy?" What's that? I was in total confusion as I followed the crowd to see what was going on at my wedding, what could be dragging so many people's attention.
"Pop" Multiple balloons pooped, emitting a blue powdery substance from them.
Where did all these balloons come from? Where did all these decorations come from? Who is doing this to me? I had a million questions to ask and I did not have an answer to any.
"Yay, it's a boy." I could hear a group of people celebrating as I got closer; what was going on? This is my wedding.
"Congratulations, Aunty," Deeja said as she handed a boxed gift to my mom. She wasn't invited to my wedding. What was she doing here?
"Aunty? Mom?" I was now standing in front of them; someone was holding a gender reveal at my wedding.
"Diana," Winter's voice was soft and gentle; he sounded worried.
"Mom?" I couldn't believe my eyes, where did all these people come from? Why is she wearing white?
"Since the princess has decided to pick a man over her throne, I am going to give the people of Ofuland a real heir to the throne, A son." The entire hall went silent as everyone gasped.
What? What is going on?
"Diana, let's go." Winter grabbed my hand as he began to pull me away from her.
"That's right, run away. I wasn't expecting anything better from you," Mom said as we walked to the car.
"A new prince is coming off land," she began to laugh as I walked out.
