In front of the receptionist's desk, Avery was looking at the second-most handsome man. Having brown eyes, kissable lips, well-trimmed hair and a nice tailored black suit.
" Hello, I'm sorry you almost kissed my forehead ".
Avery blushed, she kept staring at the man in front of her.
" This is bad!"Dave muttered under his breath when he saw Alex's cold face, Alex walked towards the two people standing in front of the receptionist's desk, both hands in his pocket. He walked towards them and stood behind Avery, Alex eyed Samuel suspiciously. Samuel returned his stare with a naughty look.
" Alex, how are you doing?"Samuel said grinning from ear to ear.
" Why are you here?" Alex asked
Hearing Alex's deep cold voice, Avery froze. She turned to look at the person behind her, Alex's eyes softened when his eyes met Avery's.
Naughty Samuel was smiling like a birthday boy. He moved forward and stood beside Alex.
" So, beautiful, do you work here?" Samuel asked Avery.
Avery was confused, will she get the job?
" I love your smile and face. Did anyone tell you, you're such a handsome creature? Avery said.
Alex gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, not wanting to punch anyone.
" I don't work here, maybe I'll start working here if I bring my files to my soon-to-be boss" Avery said pointing at Alex
"Don't point at me," Alex said sharply. Avery rolled her eyes at him and muttered
" Annoying"
Samuel chuckled at the 'Tom and Jerry ' argument. He held Avery's hand and said
" Ok, since you don't work here, why don't you go on a date with me, Let's say tomorrow at 8, my treat. What do you think?"
Avery was about to give an answer when she got pulled by Alex into his hard chest.
" She is my employee" Alex snapped.
Avery felt a tingly sensation when her hands touched Alex's chest. She raised her head to look at him, and damn! She got tongue-tied, and she tilted her head to look at his side profile, sharp jaw, handsome face and godly expression. She was brought back to earth when she heard Samuel's voice
" Alex, why are you scaring beautiful?"
" Avery, her name is Avery not beautiful!"Alex said glaring at Samuel.
" Thanks for the information Akex but I think beautiful, I mean Avery is uncomfortable with her face pressed on your chest," Samuel said
Avery pulled away and coughed slightly with a light blush.
" Why are you here?" Alex asked
Samuel cleared his throat and tidied his suit before saying;
" Veronica called me"
" So?"
" She was complaining about what happened when she came to you the last time."
Alex scoffed before saying;
" That's why you are here?"
" No!, let's discuss everything in your office". Samuel said with a serious face.
Alex nodded his head, he signalled Dave who was close to coming. He said some words and directed his gaze at Avery.
" Dave my assistant will show you around" he said to Avery
After talking Alex walked away with Samuel.

Alex opened his office door sat down in his comfortable chair and looked at Samuel.
" Talk".
Samuel sat down and muttered
"Manners"
" I heard that," Alex said to Samuel, Samuel just shrugged his shoulders
" I'm here because Almighty Alexander Gibson, your rival wants to work with Veronica, and you know the reason, she was once your secretary and your playmate she knows too much"
