After much plea, the waiter agreed to let her off the payment and took Yuli to the kitchen "give her all the work you can think of here, she owes a lot of money!" the waiter had tossed her towards the cook and slammed the door.
The slim woman putting on a chefs uniform looking very professional eyed her "and why are you here?"
"You heard him, I couldn't pay for what I ate"
"Why did you go ahead to eat if you don't have money?"
"Well.. that was because.. actually it's none of your business though"
"If it's none of my business then you won't be standing before me now" the woman said in a calm tone folding her arms
"That is partly true but I'm here for another reason"
The woman arched her brow at Yuli
"Where is the food?" Yuli asked very seriously
"Food?"
"You're a joke! cut those carrots!"
Yuli wanted to leave but decided against it, she was going to do whatever she is assigned here and go home very late in other to provoke Athena and let her know she won't boss her around anymore.
She obviously have no idea how to cut carrots but the woman didn't have to teach her twice before she grasped it and was already doing it perfectly.
Someone like her doesn't need to be showed a process twice. Yuli actually enjoyed working with the lady as they made small talks and Yuli used the opportunity to ask her about how things worked in the human world which puzzled the lady.
"Why don't you know such trival things?"
"That is because.." Yuli trailed off
"Why?"
"Because I'm not from this world" the lady stared blankly at her
"Where are you from then?"
"I'm Yuli, from Winter Universe"
"Oh really?"
"Yes! Infact I don't actually look like this, my hair used to be a beautiful silver color! I'm a very powerful Princess"
"Is that so?"
"Of course, we are Iceis, creatures of the cold" Yuli excitedly explained to the lady
"That is quite a nice plot, which novel is that? It must be a best selling one, considering the details you mentioned about the Universe"
"N-novel?? You don't believe me??" Yuli looked surprised
"Listen kid, having fantasies isn't really bad but don't dwell much on it and go about telling people you're some abstract princess from another world"
"I mean you look...quiet abstract though" the woman held her jaw and observed Yuli keenly "and.. your eyes, they are..a little too bright, you are also very beautiful also" the lady concluded
"You see? I'm telling you, my eyes are like that because of who I am! It can also gleam with fire!" Yuli tried to elaborate more
"That is possible?" The lady asked, not actually believing Yuli
"Yes! now look at me" the lady fixed her unexpectant gaze on Yuli
Yuli's eyes shone brightly and those familiar golden flames could be seen on her orbs, she stretched out her palm and exuded ice flames from it.
The woman's jaw hit the floor and her eyes dilated, she couldn't believe what she was seeing right now, she pinched herself so hard just to make sure the drink she took earlier wasn't making her to see things now.
She closed her eyes and opened it back.. still same vision before her, she blinked severally and Yuli was now moving towards her.
"Here, you see" Yuli touched the lady and she flinched
"D-d.. don't!!" The lady jumped back and rubbed her skin, surprised she wasn't hurt
"I won't hurt you!" Yuli moved closer and took her hands once more
The lady was so scared, looking at Yuli's hand engulfed in flames as she held her, she felt goosebumps all over.
Yuli released the lady's hand as her eyes returned back to normal and she took deep breaths to calm herself
"Yuli.. right?" she asked and Yuli nodded
"Now you have to promise me that you are not going to show those eyes and flames to people, you won't go about telling people you're a princess and exuding fire anywhere"
"Why?" Yuli asked
"That is not how things work over here, you will freak people out and it is also for your safety"
"Ok I will keep that in mind!"
"Now I have to find a way to delete today's feeds on the CCTV, I hope the boss doesn't see what happened here"
"What's CCTV?" Yuli asked and the lady explained it to her
"Wow! Is there a thing like that?"
"Yes and it captured your little display earlier"
"Where is it?"
"The computer room? It's on the-" before the lady could complete her words Yuli already held her hand and disappeared along with her.
"Here is the place but I don't know how to do it" the lady declared causing Yuli to look at her
"Who were you expecting to do it before? Me? I also don't know how to... but, if that is the case then let us do it my own way" Yuli smirked as she placed her hand on the computer and a few seconds later, it started releasing smokes and everything went off!
"What have you done?" The lady was panicking, she couldn't afford to pay for any damages
"Now let's get out of here" Yuli held her and they disappeared back
"Now I have to go back, I'm taking this along though" Yuli pointed at the dish that was arranged like it was for someone important
"No! no you can't take that! Mr. Klot happened to stop by today, it's for him!"
"See you around miss!" her words fell on deaf ears as Yuli had already disappeared with the tray of food.
Her mouth hund open, what was she going to do now? This restaurant is owned by the Klot Group and their president heppend to be here today and had actually placed an order but Yuli just left with what was meant to be given to him.
There wasn't enough time to prepare any other thing.
The lady facepalmed, she could already see herself getting fired today!
